Tennessee High School Hockey Power 10:

1. Centennial (NSH) [14-5-1] The Nashville Cup Champions feature the best goaltender in the State.

2. Knoxville Warriors (KNX) [15-2-0] If Centennial has the best goalie, the Warriors may have the best goalscorer in Evan Cherry, who averaged over two goals a game during the regular season and playoffs for the Knoxville champs.

3. John Paul II (NSH) [17-5-0] The two time defending State champs will be the favorite against anyone but Centennial.

4. Father Ryan (NSH) [16-3-0] The early exit from the GNASH Cup is troubling, but the smart money says the ultra deep Father Ryan will rebound.

5. North Mississippi (MEM) [9-2-5] The Monarchs will need to score more if they are going to make a run at the Predator's Cup.

6. Knoxville Pirates (KNX) [11-5-1] The Pirates won't surprise anyone this year.

7. Hendersonville (NSH) [14-8-0] Hendersonville would love to get another shot at their arch-rivals, John Paul II, in the semi-finals again.

8. Germantown (MEM) [9-6-2] The two-headed scoring monster of Vance and Wilston must dominate if Germantown is to advance.

9. Brentwood (NSH) [12-8-1] Brentwood fell just a step short in their quest for States. A great season.

10. Ravenwood (NSH) [12-6-0] Where did it all go wrong?

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
