theroyz71
I don't know any details but apparently, a fight broke out in the stands tonight during the Cherokee vs. South Doyle elimination game at Jefferson County High School. I was told that an innocent bystander got hurt and they had to call an ambulance. The game was stopped for a while.
theroyz71
Apparently, one of the South Doyle parents took exception to the Cherokee pitcher hitting 3 batters in a row. She yelled out that he did it on purpose which caused one of the Cherokee parents to tell her to STFU which caused her husband to go after him. Somehow, another woman got caught up in the mix and got knocked over, hitting her hear on the metal railing or on the concrete bleachers. She had to be taken to the hospital. The game was stopped for about 40 minutes. I don't know if anyone was arrested. South Doyle went on to win 23-13 in 6 innings after trailing 13-10 going into the bottom of the 6th. imontheline
Should have cleared the stands. Made the parents hold their fight club in the parking lot.

ThePunisher
Sounds like the South Doyle dad should have been telling his wife to shut up too instead of going after the other guy. No pitcher hits 3 consecutive batters on purpose in an elimination game. For the score to be 23-13, they must have been playing slow-pitch softball, so it couldn't hurt that much.
