I know I don't post a lot and I try not to bash either team, but this thread is crazy! It's also fun to read. This is Semi-finals baby! Both teams are pretty dang good. I for one have doubted my Devils several times this year and each and every time they have proved me completely wrong. These boys have proved themselves every single week. They have gotten better every time they step on the field (I have only missed two blowout games.) I think the passing game of Giles is my only concern. I had that concern earlier, but they will not pass on us all night. So, let's give them two 2 TD's for the sake of saying they are that good. They have a pretty good kicker, so let's give them 3 more for him. So, if Gile's scores 17 (which I personally think will be more like 10 maybe). I still don't think it is going to be an extremely close game. They have given up more than 20 points on 5 occasions and 51 pts. once. Now, i do realize that is all about match-ups and heart in the postseaon, but Greeneville has only been held to less than 40 on 2 occasions by two very good larger schools. So, lets say we only score 35. I would still say at worst the score is 35-17. But, my gut says that Greeneville wins 42-10. It's High School football, but these Devils are the best I have seen with THE best coaching staff who are constantly watching film and making the players aware of opponent tendencies! GO DEVILS! ALL IN! 2 in Row and I don't see GILES stopping you. GILES fans, I wish you the best for safe travels. i hope it is an injury free game. I can see this being a match-up quite often in the postseason. And Barb, my offer stills stands if you don't make it this week, lol.

I'd say he'd do it for $14 as a carry out for opposing teams!

Can a guy just be nice on not sneaky and sly! LOL, a woman who is that good with words and knows that much about athletics can't be a bad catch! Oh well. I tried. Enjoy the game barb and you now have my email if ya ever want to use it, lol.

BTW, I watched the BVD video and couldn;t see Epperson's involvedment in the play. Anyone got a better video view. What is the latest. I doubt T$$AA will overturn on appeal.

Maybe Science Hill is good enough to stop Maryville's 2nd and 3rd string? Unlike Carter? Who knows.

1 I picked 38 to 14 last week and was pleasantly surprised. I'm givin my boys props this week based on how they looked Friday. 45-7, we gotta give Ogle at least one FG sometime! Defeense is awesome!

I'm not arguing, just a little confused. 1st game 6A SH won 26-18 in a very good game! 2nd game MW(5A) lost 14-10 in a very good game. Both teams were playing tonight. MW won and SH lost to undefeated Maryville. Other than playing Maryville, that's pretty tough without traveling 4 hours like we had to do for the Franklin County 6a game for game 3. It was tight at half. I think 21-14.

They have to play their conference as TSSAA sets its. Their non conference games are Alcoa (still playing), Morristown West (5A still playing), Science Hill (6a lost tonight to Maryville), and Frinklin County (6A). They also scrimmaged DB (lost tonight) and Maryville (6A won tonight over SH) I know the conference don't offer them much, but I don't see much better non-conference scheduling. Who should they schedule?

At least 4 INT's, maybe more. Don't know if any were returned for TD's. I know Jefferson had 2-3, Schuff maybe 1, Tillery maybe 1. We had 1 blocked punt for a TD, and at least 1 more touched that ended up at the 12 and penalty that put it at the 6 maybe. It was horrible to watch for Carter. Greeneville just looked great and the defense was even better. The Mel and Rel show was primetime! Only complaint I have was how many players went to the field at the time of the ejections. It was choas for a few minutes, but Carter looked much worse. Oh and a Carter player was hurt late in the first, no news on him yet. It looked like he was moving a little when he was carted of the field but it looked bad. Little Rollins stood him up and as he was fighting for yards he got hammered by maybe Hall. I wish him the best, and someone let us now his status!

Greeneville starters came out of the game with 8 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter. I hate teams that run the score up, but if you can't stop the 2nd string and score on them, you deserve to get beat 77-7. I'm sorry.

Well I left early and it was 70 to 7. I think Epp was ejected (#44), but I'm not sure. I know there is a lot of bias here, but looked to me that Carter got it thrown down their throats and game was over in about 5 minutes. Then, well they got what they were looking for. I can't say what happened exactly, but Epp is out and those calls are rarely overturned on appeals. I was completely wrong on my prediction. Greeneville looked as well as I have seen them all year. They are kicking on all cylinders right now. Congratulations to the players and good jobs coaches for keeping the boys ready. Looks like we may have Fulton next week.

I am sorry as to who I offend. I know and have taught several of these kids. I know the coaches will keep them focused. I just hope they come ready as I know they will. It seems a little more scary for me as each week passes. I truly hope Troy the best and haven't heard anything much since a surgery Sat. morning. Any updates? Is he home? I know they will make adjustments, but I still think the injury will effect the secondary. Our front four and middle will win this game. We are too strong for Carter! Keep on Keepin on! Go Devils.

I hope gc is right. I am always supportive of my boys. I hope they don't get relaxed thinking playoffs will be easy. Ballard will keep him ready but these Sr.s' have been to the ship twice already. Carter poses a definite threat to our secondary, but I think we will respond. Without the dynamic offense from a year a go, the games will get closer as we go. We can not afford the mistakes we had last night. Again, I still think Devils win. 38-14 Ogles gets a FG and breaks his 57 yard school record. GO BIG GREENE

So, I wonder what they will do with all the rings they ordered early? Can we have the name changed on the ball. I'm really concerned they messed the whole playoffs up. We were all playing for second and the dangs refs went and call so bad Lexington lost.

Thanks TD for confirming this, lol. BTW, another rumor I heard was that we were going to get flavored pellets for the playoffs as a gesture of kindness to our opponent.
