Stone can not get down early, the D has to step up big time. They can do it, but everyone of them will have to play their hearts out. The O is young but quick and must hit the groove early. I think this game will be closer than anyone ever imagined.

I did notice Mrs Graham and Mrs Booker taking notes, on both sides. The nonsense with the students acting up should end. I did not notice the parking lot or stands because they all seem to be thrashed after a game. Has for the video, we never saw or heard about that, that may be a little much. Driving through the parking lot with a flag seems like good old school spirit to me, but I am old fashion. I grew up with a in town rival and most of us where friends 364 days out of the year and the pranks we pulled!! Good luck with the season....Hope you guys win 9 in a row!!

Still not sure what you are talking about. I do not remember anything unsual before the game. Unless you mean when our team entered the field from their side and that goes back to what they did last year at our house. I am sure some thrash talk went on between players all week. The only thing I heard was the their coach told channel 8 they would win 35-7, and that may be a rumor. If it is none of the above then educate me, because I must have been in lala land.

How did we "desrespected him"? rom the sideline it seemed to be a fairly clean game. There were only two personal fouls, one for each team, if my memory is right. Plus we pulled the A team at 27. Maybe its one of those cross town rival things. We played there for 2 years and wish them the best, alot of good kids thier. Hope they go 9-1 every year!

I saw something Friday night I have never seen before in High School Football ( or never noticed before) and wondered if it was a common practice. The losing coach shakes the hand of the rival coach then bolts to the end zone and refused to shake the hand of the winning team. He was followed by one other coach, the remaining coaches went down the line shaking everyones hand. I just found this odd, am I alone?

Stone Memorial shut the Jets out last night in an exciting 34-0 victory

What I want to know is who in Cumberland Co. upset off the powers at be. A new school being put in this region!! It's going to be tuff for the Stone Panthers.

To bad you feel this way!! We are not part of the old Jets, we are new, top to bottom. Last year Stone went 8-2, a jv season right? wrong, we played 2 jv teams and the rest brought their A TEAM, VARSITY!! We had BIG plans for this year, but we lost our senior QB to a broken collar bone in the Harriman scrimmage. Our backup is a sophmore who will have to grow up quick. See you in the play-offs!

Who will win the first game of the season? Stone Panthers or CCHS Jets? First game and cross town rivals, Should be a good game. It was good last year!

Look for Stone to go 7-3 or 8-2. the entire team is back, bigger, stronger and faster.

Beware when you play Community HS next year, they go for the private parts! In the game last night againt Stone Memorial we had more groin injuries and personal fouls than I have ever seen in my 30+ years around football. The ref's would not kick anyone out or even warn. Then to top it all off at the end of the game when the teams shake hands, they went through the line saying "your gay, your gay". Has any other team had this problem this year? I am Thankful for the First Class Coaching Staff at SMHS who will not tolerate poor sportsmanship or playing dirty.

I heard a pro coach talk about the 20 yd speed. To me this makes more sense, most plays take place in a 10 to 30 yard space.

11 out a total of 47. We start a lot of sophmores.

Which team will Cookeville bring? The Varsity schedule is open to night, just wondering if they might slip the A team in for practice. Stone Memorial goes into tonights game 5-l and has beat several A teams. Stone will miss two starters who were injured in last weeks game. Who wins??

Stone Memorial is playing a JV schedule this year and should be 3A next year, not sure of the region.
