Does anyone know the results of the JCHS vs Knoxville West freshman game ?

No word as of yet and it may never come. Christian McFall got pulled up as freshman, as for significant minutes........not sure. The last player to make am impact (significantor or otherwise)was Spencer Riley in 1991.

I can't believe you made that statement ! It would be nice to be the Maryville of 5A football, but one great freshman clas does not a champion make ! Don't get me wrong stranger things have happened, but JCHS is in need of a QB for next year ! Rumor has it that some of the freshsmen may be pulled up to varsity soon, if not this week ! Lets just sit back and see what happens !

After three straight defeats at the hands of the Karns Beavers, can the Patriots stop the streak and start one of their own at Dumplin Valley ? This is a very important region game for JCHS because it is a MUST win !! IMO, JCHS has to do no worse than 3-3 in region play to have any kind of a chance to make the playoffs !

The Jefferson County Freshmen team travels to Knoxville West to take on the Rebels. Can our freshmen keep it up, or does West have something ?

I was told at the ballgame tonight that it was bunch students and non-students. Just a bunch of kids that need to learn how to do a paint job. CLASSLESS !!

Of all the positions on the field that worries me the most after this year is QB, as far as someone having a good enough arm to throw the deep ball. If we can keep the freshman class together for the most part, some this years sophomores and juniors may find themselves not starting. This freshman class is overall harder hitters than what is on the varsity. # 27 and # 80 come to mind on defense. So if this years Soph. and juniors want to keep their jobs they better improve a lot before next season.

JCHS 24 D-B 7 The 7 points were scored when DB blocked a punt and ran it in. So the defense still has not given up a point.

I have no idea why he is not listed but it was 409 and willy blount kid(Fickerd) had 375. I was there to witness both RB's !!!

The RB for Willaim Blount that night was the coaches son, his last name was Fickerd or something like that, He himself has 375 yards.

JEFFERSON COUNTY FRESHMEN 24 KINGSPORT D-B FRESHMEN 7 This was very hard fought game. A lot of smashmouth play and very phyisical. This game is exactly what kind of game JCHS needed. Game was closer than the score. Half way through the fourth quarter( score was 9-7 JCHS) QB ran one for a TD, two point conversion was good ! After being backed up deep JCHS had to punt. I don't know about the yardage Ricky Upton got against any Newport team, but in 1998 he had 409 yards against William Blount. Which I believe is the second most yardage gained in a single game in Tennessee history, at that time!!

After further review ( as in a minute ago) we will be spared getting wet. Maybe later tonight it will rain, because we need it !!

Underachieved ! With all the turnovers makes a body wonder whrere JCHS would be had we not had them, or atleast just half of them or maybe the ones at came at the worst time (Campbell county). As far the coaches is concerned I would give them a "B" fore the most part the game plans have been good with exception for The Greeneville game. IMO.

GOOD!! I love a dad with passion for the game !! But I still have a freshman game to go to thursday !! GO BLUE !!! This a freshman football thread after all, that why I am talking about the freshmen !
