since you said it it must be so, Madison was better than McNairly, Their fullback was better than ALlen, their tailback was better than everybody, #70 was better than Henry and Theus, Lowery was a non factor although he intercepted their first play. Their lineman were all better Henry countys. Matt Scott did not belong on the field with those guys. It is a wonder that Henry were even in that game. I felt they were the better team that go outplayed but man, that must not have been the case at all. McNairl did not play particularly well that game but he was the best player on the field.

I said talented team not who played better. McNairl is more talented than their QB, jsut ask the college scouts, they know more than me and you, their jobs depend on it. 70 was a very good defensive lineman and William Henry was jsut as Dangerous. Their fullback was more physical than ALlen but more talented, I did not think so. But thank you for finally agreeing that someone on their team was more physical than us last year. Their Rb was pretty good and I thought that, but so was Maurice Lowery. I thought maurice was a fine player. I still give the nod to Henry county on talent last season.

You are probably right about JCM, I do feel that Henry coutny was more athletic than Munofrd last year, it was a game that had Henry county come ready to play, they would have won by 21. 2 stupid blocks in the back that did not have an impact on the big play, a fumbled shot gun snap on first and goal, and that game is 21 to 0 at the half. Munford was not as talented as Henry county in 2006, WIlliam Henry, Calvin McNairl, Maurice Lowery, Domique Allen. They did not have one player as good as Calvin, they did not have a player as good as William Henry. Their running back was similar to the talent of Maurice Lowery, their fullback was not as good as Dominique Allen, and the Madison kid was very elusive but really was not hte difference in that game, the difference was in there physicality in the second half to man handle Henry county.

Hardin county has just played as bad a team as it could inpreparation for one of its toughest teams of the year. They beat JCM worst than Henry county but htat is meaningless, before Henry county beat JCM, they were in some games, After Henry county went to the cougars house and beat them, everyone has followed suit. I think it will be a heck of a ball game Friday night and I hope that the Patritos do not do as they have doen the past two years and give up the reginal title to a team that has less talent. Shutt is probably among the states top reciever prospects but aside from him, it appears that Hardin county has just got some workmanship type players that show up, work hard, and get the job done kind of guys, they are coached well, they are generally undermanned by Henry county but they are at home and that will make it interesting in its own right. If Henry county does not sure up some of its special teams, it could be a long trip home from Savanah. I agree old lucipher, Northside will most likely play Melrose first round and will need to play very well to win but I would not be terribly surprised to see 3 or 4 teams win out of region 7. Fairley and Melrose will definitely be tough and their opponents will have to play well to beat them. I do not see Raleigh or kingsbury doing very well. I do notknow much about Kingsbury and had wondered aboutthem for a while but apparently Munford handled them with ease, ANy input cougar mike.

Here is what I saw, I saw officials call a game different becasue of the score being lopsided, I saw it at Brighton, I saw it a JCM and I saw itagainst Munford too. It along with a dropped snap from a punter changed the momentum of a game, nto the focus of the game. Norhtside gained momentum due to a ridiculous PI call and then the Patriots gave Northside more momentum by dropping a perfect snap to the punter. The punter may have lost focus but the Patriots did not. The Patriots weathered the storm and won. THe Patriots had over 200 yards rushing and the Indians had like 108, total yards Henry county was around 350 and the Indians were around 230, The most important stat was Henry county never had less points than the Indians, never. The Indians took advantage of a short field a few times. They played well but in the end they must win this week to make the playoffs. I too was disappointed with the crowd.

you seem to have a strong dislike for Henry county, you never have much good to say about them. with that opinion, I can not believe that you have seen them play much this year.

Heck of a ball game, I am glad that I did not leave during the outage. Henry county showed me how good they really are. I am of the opinion that if the game is not delayed, they mercy rule Northside. I am sure that the Northside faithful feel like they almost won, and I even heard some idiot claim that Northside actually won. One of the biggest plays for Northside was an interception by Henry county, when 22 landed on the 1 yard line. There was also a TERRIBLE PI call against Henry county, the Patriot jumped up and got pushed in the back by the Northside player and they called it on Henry county. Northside players were hitting after the whistle all night and evenon the last play when 3 for Henry county went down, a Northside player came in very late. I do not know how many yards Mann ended up with but he did not light it up, although he is a pretty darn good back, The Patriot D just stopped him. Some will say that they did not, but Mann was getting 35 plus carries a game and that was not the case tonight. If he was having success, they would have stayed with him. I hope Henry coutny learned something about not relaxing until the game is over.

Did not mean to whiz in your cheerios, I was going on the win loss rankings, and the top 20 fan poll, I did not put Clarksville up anywhere, I simple transferred them fromone poll to another, also I stated in plain English that I was not sure that the records really meant anything, due to the weak schedule that each team posting a good record had played, Further more, Just because Beech won a game agains Clarksville does not mean that Clarksville does not deserve consideration to be up there, Have you ever watched a college poll after a number one team gets beat by a nobody, well the nobody is not all of the sudden ranked above them. The titans beat the colts last season and the colts won the super bowl, wow how could that happen. I do not know how good Clarksville is or is not but one thing is for sure, one game does not tell us how good they are win or lose to the almighty Beech.

Hillsboro is definitely one of the best teams in the state any classification but, they beat Maplewood and their opponents overall record is simlar to that of the other, it is 26-37, 41%, with a win over 1 team with a record above 500. they did tie a 4-3 Franklin who has struggled to beat teams this year. They beat a bad Whites creek team by 8. I am not sure that any of this means anything but I am not sure that these good records neccesarily mean anything either.

Out of curiosity, I started looking at records of the top few teams in 4a and their schedule. I surprised me to see the soft schedules that all of these teams have played. Teams do not have any say so in their regional schedule but their nonregion schedule could be beefed up a little. This is what I found. 1. Maryvilles opponents have a combined record of 32-31, 51%, they have actually only beaten 3 teams with above .500 mark 2. Red Bank " " 26-30 , 46%,have only beaten 3 teams with above .500 mark 3. Sullivan South " " 33-41, 45%, have beaten 4 teams above 500 4. Henry county "" 27-37, 42% have beaten 3 teams above 500 5. Mt. Juliet " " 30-34, 46%, have beaten 2 teams above 500 6. Clarksville " " 23-41, 36% Have beaten 1 team above 500 I do not know what this really says other than none of these teams have really been tested by good competition.

Read your own post, how come when I say something to try and motivate Henry county it turns into me being anti- Henry county, I am a Henry county fan, a very loyal fan, just as the Yanker is a fan of JCM and you all think he is some great loyal fan, well he picked his team to lose last week, so am I not a loyal fan because I picked Henry county to get upset last week. Even as I said last week that Henry county was better than Munford, actually feared Munford dominating them again as they did the year before with a lesser team.

Henry county did dominate Munford in 07, they were tougher than Munford in 07, I am glad to be wrong on this one. I wish I were wrong about last seasons meeting. I am just glad that I was able to be used in such a positive way last week. I picked Henry county to win the region, I think they have the best team, and I wanted to give the Patriots a little bulletin board material as I thought they might need it, and I enjoyed irritating the heck out of you guys.

Congratulations Patriots on your win last week and your physical domination of the Munford team, I am very happy at the result and I am actually glad that I was wrong in my prediction. As for this week, I see a much improved Norhtside team from last year, Mann was a good bck last year and I was just curious what kind of game he had against the Patriots last season. Norhtside is much improved and so is Henry county, Northside had tooooooo much ground to make up to catch a fast improving team. Region 7-4a is rather weak this year but Henry county is not, they have shown up to play every region game and that is not always easy to do when teams are so bad. Liberty 41-14 JCM 54-6 Brighton 41-14 Munford 35-0 it took two time outs against the jv to score with 18 seconds left Dont let Northside or Hardin coutny slip up on you. Gaddis is too good to allow that.

Do you honestly believe that even your son could not have ever given just a lilttle more effort on any single play. This is the attitude that I am talking about. When one thinks he has given it his all, he could reach a little father and give more, I promise, I would not tell you anything but the truth, your son can give more. I agree with all teams can get tougher, I have also seen players get taped up and go back out. LOL, I really can not believe how people read what they want and just omit all the positives that I have spoke about the Henry county team. Prophet I do agree and I will comment no more. Munford 24 Henry county 13 henry county really won the game because they had 481 yards of offense but turned it over 6 times inside the red zone, Munford only had 16 total yards of offense but returned 3 fumbles for touchdowns. Henry county was giving it all they had but they had not enough energy to hold on to the ball. I do however think that Henry county will represent this end of the state again in the Semis because they have the best players and the best coaches.

All i Have talked about is the second half, you seem to think a lot of stats, Munford outscored Henry county 21-7 in the second half. I never said that Henry county was not tough, I said Munford was tougher.

I love them dearly too, but they tend to read more negative into things than men. I have said nothing negative about women on here.

I could not help but notice that you did not high light the part about the Patriots have a chance to win the state title.

I like the highlights, as I read that, I read it like I was telling the fans of Henry county to quit coddling the boys, that is not what they need. The fans are constantly making excuses. I have been a part of good football tradition all my life and it is in the communities in which people expect the best fromtheir players not except every little mistake, and say "thats alright, son, we will get them next time" or "We beat ourselves, they did not have anything to do with it." If I win, I want credit, If I lose, I will give my victor the credit. Henry county Players are not soft, could they be tougher, YES. Henry county has a lot of heart, does every player lay it all out every play of every game, NO. THerer is room for improvement and I am sorry that I pointed it out. Coach Gaddis has done a tremendous job turning the program and the mentaliltiy around in Henry county. He has made the Patriots a winner again, He is trying to mkae Champions out of them, and I would guarantee that he is not satisfied with where they are, As good a coach as he is, he expects improvement daily. It seems as if the fans, I am sorry some fans (dont want hte blanket statement) are content with where they are. They can play with no more heart than they have been and they can get no tougher than they are seems to be the consensus around here.

No, I am a football fan, and a fan of Henry county football. I truely am, i do not make excuse when my teams lose, and sometimes I see qualities in other team that I admire. I have said nothing negative about Henry county, I said a lot of positive about Munford and a Lot of positive about Henry coutny, you happen to notice what I said about Munford and took it negatively about Henry county. I think I have even said that Henry county is better than Munford and I even said Henry county had better players than Munford. I did say the community seems to make excuses for the Patriots in their short comings and I did not believe that helped toughen a team up. How you read it was apparently, Henry coutny has no heart, is terrible and a bunchof whimps with bad coaches, I never implied that nor did I say that. As for the flawless part, I was referring to last seasons Regional Champs, as for more heart, well, I feel like Henry county had the better players last year, the better team last year and I felt like Munford was playing a lot harder in the second half when they ran up and down the field on Henry county for 21 points. It seems to be of popular opinion that Henry lost that game in the first half by their mistakes (unforced or not) but if that was the case then why were they still winning 7-0. Munford won the game in the second half by laying it all on the line, they deserve the credit for that victory, and the red faithful are not willing to give the credit where credit is due. Yes a womans way of thinking, to take everything out of proportion such as the warrior did. I never said Henry county had no heart, he/she seemed to think I did. A blanket statement or not, I feel as if I would only be jumped on for that statement by a woman.

It must be tough then because I have said nothing about Munford being the only team with heart, I have said nothing about how smart any coach was, I simply said that Munford played with more heart than Henry county last year and they are this year. Chargers were better than the Patriots this year, and the Cugars were better last year, and I believe they are this year. With that beign said, I hope that Henry county wins and I hope that the mommies and daddies of Henry county football players stop coddling your babies and let the coaches toughen them up. If the community will help toughen these young men up, the Patriots have a chance to win the state title game, however, from the attitudes on here, there seems to be no room for improvement, and the Patriots are loaded with talent and potential. Any time someone beat you, I read where the opponent had nothing to do with it but it was the Patriots making unforced mistakes, well champions do not make unforced mistkaes. Munford is the defending regional champs so they know what I am talking about. When was the last time Henry county was the champions of something, anything?
