  1. If he is that nasty, I may ask the coach not to put me on the field.
  2. Evenly matched teams? Rossview may win this one but if they do it will be the first time they have ever beat Henry County. Evenly matched? Henry County is a far superior team, 2 titles is 3 years, They lost to two teams far better than Ridgeway, the game last year was close because of weather conditions and it was at Rossview. This year is at Henry County and it will be a lot different than the game last year. Evenly matched? Rossview has won how many playoff games in the last 5 years? Henry County has won more district games in the last 2 years than Rossview has won in the last 5. Now with that said, on any given night they could win but if they played a 7 game series, would not go more than 5 games.
  3. Sounds gutless to me, like maybe they wanted junior but if junior did not want the head job then bland would stay in place, that is why rumors got out, they were making sure that they had their guy before they fired their guy. That my friends is the good ole boy way. If you dont like bland fire him, then go find you a coach, dont go find a coach, then fire him, obviously junior was talked to about taking the job before Bland was told he was fired. Look what Tennessee did, fired Fulmer averaging 9 wins a season with a national title, fired him and have not won 9 games since, idiots.
  4. Well We will see if Brentwood does any better this week against the same opponent, just looked at the rankings listed and Brentwood had the 101st ranked schedule strength. Northeast held their own against the sec district of high school football and beat centennial.
  5. I never said Dickson had a good quality win, ND, you were talking about how weak Dickson County's schedule was, I never disagreed, I was just saying that your bruins play a weak schedule too and that by no means does Brentwoods schedule sling shot them to the number one seed way above Dickson. Both Districts were weak this year, and I was just putting an argument up that if it is a joke for Dickson to be the one seed it would be equally funny for Brentwood,
  6. You have no clue who my school is so I am not sure where you pull some 5% business I am not sure, I am a Henry County Fan, but I have said nothing about Dickson COunty I am just entertained by your perception of something that is a little nuts. You got your strength of schedule from some where, the strength of schedule here on coach t has Brentwood at 106 and Dickson at 97 out fo class 3a, it all depends on how you punch your numbers in the calculator. Brentwood may be better than Dickson, I can not say as I have not seen them play, would not presume to know how good they are, but based on their body of work this season, there is no reason to take for grantedt that they are great, again I will say that Brentwood played 1 good 6a opponent and lost. Please tell me who else they played that is so good that should put them as the #1 seed by the dominant margin you suggest, Dickson beat a 8-2 5a team (columbia) they beat a 7-3 5a team Northeast Brentwoods best wins this season was a win against a 6-4 independence, and a win against two 5a teams that were 6-4. Where is the quality win that you think demonstrates excellence and seperates the Bruins from Dickson?
  7. LMAO, SEC of high school, that district was very tough 3+ years ago, not anymore, when was the last time a team from that district was a real threat? And they are not a real threat this year, I would say tha Riverdale, Oakland, Blackman, Siegal are in a much tougher district than yours, Brentwood although they may have played more 6 a teams, the quality of their opponents this year was very low compared to years past, that is a fact, their opponents have a combined record of 41-59, thanks to 2 mediocre 5 a teams that had winning records, who is your best win against, a 6-4 Independence. WIth this being said, Brentwood played their district schedule, they played a team in Symrna that is normally very good, A gallatin team that is normally pretty good, but their district was weak this year and so was Gallatin and symrna and Blackman was your toughest opponent and you lost. Brentwood probably played in the 5th toughest district this year, if yo need me to list 4 better, I will.
  8. I would like to first say that I have a lot of respect for the Brentwood football program, and every school has fans that are idiots. Cookville 5-5 Symrna 1-9 Hunters lane 0-10 Gallatin 3-7 Is this the argument that you have about Dickson playing a weak non district schedule? Oh I am sorry that is Brentwoods non district tough opponents. How about that tough district, Franklin 4-6, Ravenwood 3-7, Independence 6-4 with a loss to Ravenwood, Centennial at 6-4 as a 5 a opponent, and Hillsboro another 5a opponent at 6-4, The only tough team on the schedule was Blackman at 7-3 and how did that work out for you. So you played 4 teams with a winning record two of which were 5a and you lost to the good 6 a opponent. you have no beef with your seeding, At one time your district was among the toughest, not this year.
  9. I have a bad memory but the last few 5a state champs have been From Henry County, Sumner County, and Maury County, I like how you call it the Willamson county and Wilson County District when Hillsboro and Centennial have not won 15 games combined in the last 3 seasons, I might call it the Sumner County District. Centennial and Hillsboro are in a tough district as the only two 5a schools in there but, Franklin is down, Ravenwood is awful, Independence is fair, and then you have Brentwood. That district is no where near as tough as it was 4 years ago. Beech is good, hendersonville and gallatin are bad, Mt. juliet is good, Lebanon is awful, Hillsboro, Centennial, Portland, nor Station Camp would have won any district in the state, so dont give me that business about why they are 5-5, .
  10. I guess you have seen them play? Sounds like The big Red may not want to face them?
  11. I guess Munford, Hamilton, and Lawrence county are all forces in the playoff, I Think Craigmont may be solid, I know Henry county is, and I think North side is, but unsure about them, Hardin County is soft, Brighton is soft, Dyer County is soft, NS really has not been tested, however they are the 4th quad first seed and they beat Northeast I think by two points at home, so careful what you think about NE. My guess is that they would have beat Northside in Clarksville, What is a joke is that Hamilto is hosting a playoff game after beating no one on the field that has made the playoffs in 5a or 6a.
  12. Not sure what your point is, Ridgeway is 7-3 and a #2 seed
  13. hey rat, why do you have hamilton in the 3 seed, they will finish 4th in their district with a 5=5 reecord? am i missing something?
  14. HC wins big and could get out of hand if the Patriots will play disciplined football, last weeks game was hard to stomach, flags everywhere. These young guys should have learned something from last years group, you will not win the big one with fifteen penalties.
  15. greenwave, it always entertains me to read where people try to be negative to someone elses accomplis hments.Henry County a powerhouse? Does one state title mean that every year before 2011 that they were not one of the best. I would say that Auburn is a powerhouse, but other than their latest national championship they had some awful seasons leading up to that, Henry County is 12-5 over the last six seasons in the playoffs, I guess Gallatin has won more than one state title in their history but over the last six years they are 3-6 in the playoffs. Hillsboro has won multiple state titles and yet no one would look at them now and say they are a powerhouse, maybe they use to be. One state title three semifinal appearances and two second round exits over the last 6 years and there is not many schools that can say they have played 17 playoff games over the last 6 years, not sure that any of this means anything but Henry County has been one of the most powerful teams over the last few years, Gallatin has a proud and storied history but lately not the case.
  16. from what I understand, the kids eligibility was only affected for one game, LOL, his mom apparently moved back and forth and was only not living in clarksville for one game, what a joke, so she moved to clarksville, moved back for one game and then moved back again, I hope the tssaa looks into this
  17. good luck coach Gaddis, and Trenton, you guys have landed an awesome coach, he brought back Henry County to the football map and look at where HC is now, He will bring excitement to a football community like no other, enjoy the ride.
  18. Wow, is Rankin slipping, he had five all state players and had an average year at best.
  19. having calculated the scoring average of each Powell and HC's opponents these are my results Powell averaged scoring 41 points a game while giving up 12 HC averaged 43 while giving up 11 Powell averaged scoring 17 more points than their opponents averaged giving up while givning up 10 less than their opponents averaged scoring HC averaged scoring 16 points more than their opponents gave up, and gave up 18 points less than their opponents averaged scoring With HC averaging 43 Powell giving up 10 less that is 33 points With Powell giving up 12 and HC scoring 16 more that is 28 so lets give HC 31 With Powell averaging 41 and HC giving up 18 less than averaged that is 23 With HC givng up 11 and Powell scoring 17 more that averaged that is 28 Powell get 26 Game Score HC 31 Powell 26 strictly a numbers prediction no biased opinions In opponents averages I did not count the games against HC or Powell because I felt like that would not show a true difference in the average
  20. How many D I guys does Powwell have, Ridgeway has 1 going to Ole Miss, 1 going to Memphis, and 2 going to Arkansas, and supposedly two more going DI, Powell is 1 of 2 teams playing in 5a at this point and have earned their way, It will be a very interesting game, I think that this game will come down to the second half and coaching adjustments. Coaching edge in my opinion goes to Counce. Powell has not been challenged all year, the Oak Ridge game was close but without the qb for oak ridge playing, not really a challenge. I hope we can challenge them.
  21. HC fan you left out the 2008 team, you think that one would not have been competitive with this team or one in the 80s. LOL they were pretty good, I fear the same weakness still on this team that the one in 2008 had, and it is a poor kicking game, very inconsistent. Hillsboros kicking game that year was the difference.
  22. the Dickson springfield game was very tight Springfield beat clarksville by one point the northeast clarksville game was a one point game the Dickson NE game was a one point game HC was up 42-0 in the first half on springfield HC was up 49-0 on NE with 9:30 to go in the second quarter HC was up on Clarksville 40-0 HC did not give up a first down to NE until it was 49-0 Dickson gave up 500+ yards to them PAt 73 Our defense has given up less than 370 yards rushing this season around 800 passing and with our opponents playing from behind they are passing at a high rate and still just averaging 100 yards a game passing, Clarksville had 67 total yards Friday night, and i think NE had like 126 yards on the night LOL a very porous pass defense apparently, the Qb for NE had been rushing and passing all over everybody else as he did against DIckson and not one first down against HC's first team LOL. Over half of the 800 yards given up through the air has been against our JV. HC has given up 17 first half points this season, 14 of which came agianst our jv after we were up 49-0 against NE. The kicking game is weak, what part, our extra points have been somewhat inconsistant, but for your kicker to become a factor he must have an offense to put it in the endzone. Good luck this week and I hope for the rivalry sake that Dickson comes to Paris in a tie for first place in the district, I have a lot of respect for Dickson county but htis Patriot team is special. Just ask Springfield, Clarksville, and NE, the coach for Clarksville had a nice quote in the Tennessean yesterday.
  23. I am pretty sure the Pierce kid does not play on the O-line red swarm, I think he is a D-lineman, however, I have not heard anything other than he has not practiced this week. Owens has not been seen in practice either, not sure on his injury, my biggest concern is our club prez, not interested in our game this week, I sure hope our coaches and players are interested in it, bunchofbums
  24. Not to disagree with you because our schedule is so weak, we will not be tested in teh regular season and sshould not be early in the playoffs, but there is one glaring problem for the Patriots, They miss one or two extra ponts in every game, that is the kind of stuff that lost championships for Melrose.
