Nope nope ..........mr massey will not meet him because masseys gonna be handing the ball off to Perry and the Johnson twins and they are gonna zoom(johnson twins)and bulldoze(Perry) right by #75 and anyone else that gets in the way.

And the Cavalier offensive line has blocked ppl this size before. Dispite being undersize technique will always win. I was a Offensive Tackle last year and i blocked ppl bigger and better than me trust me when i say that this o-line will find a way to block these big hosses on ripley. I truly believe we have the best offensive line coach in west tennessee on any high school level. I do believe that we will run on them and run well. We have a back with a 220 lb frame and he has carried the load thus far and he will continue to do so because his o-line will make the necessary blocks to give him his holes to hit. We have speed and we have a well improved QB in Massey.......he has done an excellent job this year with the offense. Like i have said the tigers havent faced an offense this powerful yet. This will be the true test for the tigers.........lets see how they take it.

Nope........sheffield has faced better teams and have won. Their only loss coming against Fairly(4a Powerhouse this year). Sheffield will win this one by 14!!!

Worried???? Maybe.........but im definatly confident in our squad. I believe that this will be a good game but i still believe our cavs will come out on top. After all i do not think that Ripley has faced a team with the potent Offense that the cavs possess. Their defense may be good but we will see how good they are this friday when they face of in Ripley. Go Cavs!

This one should be a good one. Both teams have great squads. Obion with that option rips holes in opposing defenses. Covingtons defense is allowing only 7 points per game, lowest in the region. This one is gonna be a barn burner and i wish both teams the best of luck. Hope there are no injuries and to Covington..........go ahead and mark October 20th on ur calenders because you guys are in for the game of ur lives.

Kudos to Wheeler!!!He has done a good job at Ripley and may prove a lot of preseason polls wrong concerning his tigers not being in the playoffs.

Okay TigerNation........hmmmmm i believe that i broke down fairly well the defenses. I understand the fact that Bolivar and Oakhaven are not considered (as you say) "POWERHOUSES". But my friend i do believe that as of right now Obion is ahead of Ripley in the region. Obion is a good team and voted by many preseason pollls to edge out Ripley and be a sleeper(injury bug has plagued the team). Milan is a team that will always be in the playoffs and they usually turn it on in the playoffs and make a deep run dispite what happens in the regular season.Ala last few years where they have eliminated Both Westview and Huntingdon in the playoffs. Crockett beat Dyersburg , Ripley did not. I do respect the fact that Ripley is at home against the Cavs and if there is any chance of the cavs being beat its on the road. I do respect the Ripley defense which in my book is considered ONE of the best in the region. Ripley has size, strength , team quickness , and athleticism. All im sayin is that the cavs have all these things on defense as well. Who gives anyone the right to say that Ripley has the best defense in the region when the only team they have played in the region was a loss where they allowed 27 points. I do believe that this will be one for the books and will be a slobber knocker. Hope no one gets hurt and wish both teams the best luck. May the best Cavalier win!

Hmmm......how good is this defense really.....i mean so far Ripley has went against who?????? Lets go ahead and break this defense down. They have shut out two teams this season so far. Manassas(who everyone shuts out) is averaging 5.6 ppg. Tredwell,Ripleys other shutout, has averaged 5.0 ppg(yeah lower than Manassas). The teams Ripley have beaten post a combined record of 5-14and is 9-15 if you wanna count dyersburg. Their one lost coming against dyersburg(whom Crockett has toppled) where they allowed 27 points.Now true this defense has held teams to and average of 11.2 ppg but once again outside of dyersburg the teams they have faced off against are 5-14. Crockett on the other hand has just as good if not better "D"(offense just over shines this). Crockett has only allowed an 8.2 ppg average and has went against teams that post offensive number. Milan has a 40.5 ppg average if you dont count the 14 that they were held to at Cavalier stadium.Obion has averaged 37.8 ppg apart from the 7 that the cavs held them to. Dyersburg(44.8ppg aside from the cavalier loss) was held to 14 points against the cavaliers.The cavaliers are dominate on defense the other two teams we have faced off against we hammered and posted big numbers and allowed only one score in the bolivar game. The cavs defense is just as good if not better and the opposing teams combined record is at 14-10 , 5 of those losses coming from oakhaven). So far the cavs have faced better teams and have won we know what the offense can do and as you see here we know what the defense has done this season.......kept ppl out of the endzone. These figures dont lie.........both teams post very good defenses but i do believe that Ripley hasnt faced an offense of the Cavaliers caliber yet and well the cavs beat dyersburg so yeah. I dont believe that the cavs will take the week off RipleyTiger54 because as an ex cav myself i know even when Manassas came into town we were still prepared and we still had our gameplan that week.P.A. will not over look anyone in region 7-3A because like the ole saying goes "Anyone can be beat on anygiven night". I just dont see it happening to the cavs this week.I pic the Cavs in a 35-14 win this season (yet another 21 point victory over Ripley except this time you guys score).

I agree with you crockettfan..........Haywood has lost 4 games out of five with their lone win coming against Manassas and is yet to win a region match up...........with 7AAA as strong as it is ,Haywood has put themselves in a win or stay home situation after only 5 weeks. Haywood still has a tough Obion County team coming up, a powerhouse Dyersburg team, and not to mention the Cavs at Cavalier Stadium. Now im not doubting Haywood by any means because they are chalked full of athletes. Not to mention that they have went against teams with a combined record of 13-3. But its now put up or shut up time in Brownsville. With the schedule not looking any better i say Haywood may have trouble making the playoffs. I say Fayette Ware 28-21!

You have to be kidding me.............an improved Bolivar team is likely to lose against our second team.............Crockett wins this one big! And for those of you who talk crap bout us runnin up the score well what are we supposed to do.........we take our starters out and put in the second and third teams and they rake up yards and pile up the points . I mean what do you guys want us to do punt on first down?????

I know definatly more than you do FOOTBALLFAN1960 that during a heated battle both sides do a little trash talking. This is expected but not accepted. Last year during our match up a fight broke out.......very unclassy by both sides might i add..........this of coarse was sparked by trash talk and cheap shots both of which were given and received on both sides.........As far as the whole Crockett being worn until Ron got the pic.......that is bologna.........i know that Crocketts conditioning is much better than most in the state..........this is the same Trojan team that we kept coming at last year even tho it was two minutes left in the fourth quarter and the cavs were down 42-21..........we do not lay down and i can at least speak for myself when i say that i got better wihen i got more tired........dont judge the game man when you arent in it...........you can have ur fans eye view but ur gettin a bit too deep.........you see the coin on ur side but remember there is always two sides of the coin!!!
