You know this should be a great game. I think Indy has more fire power if they use there weapons, but I think it will be a very close game and will come down to the fourth quarter and who wants it more. I do not think Indy has played great ball the last few eeks. Columbia is a bad football team and they just found ways to win the Brentwood and Ravenwood games. Brentwood totally out played them beside the scoreboard which is were it counts. I will say Indy has learned how to win ugly and that is important this time of year.

If anybody truly beleives this team goes 7-3 with anybody but Zac you are crazy. I think the problem in the big games was the fact taht Independence has no speed receiver. It is a team chalked full of possesion receivers. Against inferior competion they did find ways to get free. But if you look at Brentwood, Ravenwood, and Franklin they shut down the recievers. The could not run by anyone or get open. Yes, Zac did not play well either. But it is tough to throw when there is not spot to throw to. Independence must find one receiver who can open up the middle of the field and the short routes in big games. And I do not think Felts made one play call this season. From what I have heard Smith made every call by himself. Zac was not offensive player of the year in the region for no reason. Some people just want to critize and not give him his just due. He helped ignite a terrible offense. He helped open holes for Pettigrew by moving the ball through the air. He will need to go over 3,000 for IHS to make a deep playoff run. But, they must find a downfield receiver first. Baugh is a great possesion guy.

As an outside observer of the program, there are many good and bad things about it. First, Smith had total control of the team mo matter who was the disciplinarians. He is a ball of football knowledge. Secondly, Coach Eubanks has learned much from Smith and is at a point now where he would be a great head coach. Coach Bobby has a knack for getting players motevated and would be a decent choice for a defensive coordinator, but he needs to learn how to control his emotions. And not over think what to do on defense. Thirdly, the offensive staff is in good hand. Offensive line coach is improving each year and Felts and Taylor have both groomed under Smith with each having charecteristics that good elevate this team to better things. The coaching staff is young and vibrant and a change will bring out the best in all of them. The young guys on offense just need a chance to do more to see what they are made of. Eubanks would be the right choice for everyone, but will Webb make the right choice or make a choice that fits her. But, no matter what these kids are the biggest thing. My son graduated this year and I want to see this next class achieve great things. They have the potential. On offense they have many weapons. But, make no mistake Cordell is the key of the offese. No matter what anybody says that team last year would not have improved as much without him. Pettigrew is the rock, he just needs more touches. On defense one name says it all Consiglio. Has a chance to be all state. Whoever gets the job will wakeup smiling each day because the cupboard is stocked full.

The one thing is it does matter who the coach is. It needs to be a coach that wants to put the ball in the air. Pettigrew is a good back, but the line is one of the weakest in the district. But, they can win through the air. You make it sound like they can win on their own, which is not the case. They still must learn to win in big games. What will they do if they can not beat BA and MBA. Will they quit or will they fight back? I think they are a good team that should enter the playoffs for the first time, but do not underestimate what Scott Smith did to make these boys better as a football team. I believe they should go with someone like Eubanks who knows these guys and can build upon what they have going. Bring in an outsider could do more to disrupt things, instead of improve.

The Hill, Scott does have two children and two step children. He has a wonderful wife and he is a man of high morals and you will never hear one curse word come out of his mouth on the field. He is a man young men can look up too and will work hard for. Be privilaged he is your new coach.

Believe Me, I know Scott personally, and no I am not him, he is the best coach you guys could have gotten. He is a proven winner and a guy who will work to be the best. He beleives in himself and wants to win so badly, he rubs some people the wrong way. He is a great man and leader, no matter what the people are saying. The same people that are dogging him now, were hugging him after we upset Franklin last year, when the were ranked in the top five in state. He is not a bad guy, just someone that is looking out for his family and himself. He has an abudance of football knowledge and is a great people person. But, he will ###### some people off because he is honest to a fault. You guys in Johnson City are getting one of the best coache in the state, now sit back and watch him lead you guys to victories.

Hey Guys, I am going to tell you what you are getting. A guy that has an unwavering desire to be the best coach in Tennessee. That hates to lose and a great players coach. He is a love/hate guy. If you are with him, then he is your best friend, and if you are agianst he hates you. You guys are getting a proven program builder and a great guy. You got the best man. Now, sit back and watch him work his magic again.

I just want to say that I am tired of people getting on here disrespecting someone that gives their heart and soul to this program. Coach Scott Smith love him or hate him deserves better. He loves these kids and this program and he is one of the best coaches around. He gave his players everything they needed to win. It came down to them getting it done and the came up 3 yards short in the end and 3 points short. He gave them Monday off because of fall break and just to give everyone a chance to get fresh after the Ravenwood lose. And it was a great decision. That did not have anything to do with the game.

I just won't to give Brentwood all the repect in the world. The did what they had to to win. The know how to win games that matter. Indy will come back and win this week and send the seniors off and say thank you for building a winning foundation. With another year in the weight room this team will be the team to beat. Smith should be the coach of the year. He is a wonderful man and coach. He cares for these kids more than anybody can believe. I know how upset he was to not see his seniors in a playoff game. But, he was proud of the way they fought until the win. Indy, keep your heads up, you are a great team who will learn to win the big game in the future.

Dear Centennuial Fans, I am going to put it bluntly. Centennial is going 0-10. They have no hope. There coaching is the worst in Williamson County and has been for all ten years the school has been open. I have seen Gregory lose games they should not, but they have never won a game they should not have. He finds was to lose with more talent and losses worse with less talent. If a change is not made they will never beat Franklin, Brentwood, Ravenwood, Independence again. Oh, I forgot they are 2-24 against them teams all time. But, them two finds were agaisnt teams that were in there first year of varsity play. Go find a better team to watch each week. Because losing rubs off. A fresh coach with a fresh attitude and ideas would light the competive fires of the school again.

The homecoming week activities will not matter at game time. What will matter is the strength that INDY will gain from the bosterous crowd on Friday night. INDY is coming off two weeks of having to rely on the run. The passing game has been off and Scott Pettigrew has carried them through key situations with his tough running. But, the passing game is due for a breakout game and fireworks could be coming this week. I will be there early Friday to have a good seat.
