  1. I could not agree with you more. Just no excuse for it....even though you hear them each year. There are some exceptional soccer teams that could do this and just refuse to....it can be done and is proven to be done. But the good news for Signal Mountain is you will be there one day and probably sooner than later. I believe this will be great locker room material for them in the near future.
  2. Kevin Cooper had a fantastic night for the Vols and I too would love to see him and BJ together. Just not sure BJ will get a chance for a while.
  3. You set yourself up for this one. Don't you think before you start talking trash about Baylor that you need to figure out how your team had a monumental meltdown last Friday night? And do you have a chance to win Friday night against BA and the "coach that left McCallie for them?" Chew on that alittle while. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  4. I'm not Baylor....but you don't have to be Baylor to think they are very good. Baylor 2 Bearden 1 You must be a Bearden person....6-2...give me a break.
  5. Not that I hate to see it happen as I don't really care one way or the other....but you have to keep Baylor at #1. I really don't see it happening again this year. Tremendous program. ND has a fine program as well....but have they "ever" beaten Baylor? If so, not in recent memory. Good luck to both.
  6. Who played QB for Baylor. I hope Tyler Massey does great in the pros but his Dad (coach) played a hurt Massey too much last year. It pretty much lost a couple of games for them. You know Tyler up the middle, Tyler runs, Tyler passes, Tyler on defense, etc. I heard alot of groaning about it and anyone that saw the Baylor McCallie game on TV knows that lost it for them. Had a great back that just needed inches on a couple of drives and what does the coach do.....call Tyler's number while he is injured....over and over. So, back to my question who will their qb be this year?
  7. I don't know anything about the Meigs situation but you are right that he is a first year coach. Their former coach (sorry don't know name) left to take over coaching at Chattanooga's East Ridge High School.
  8. Great game and fun to watch. Loved seeing Tennessee shut down the much talked about Ga guys. The Tn defense shut them down and as you would hope...both goalies were hardly tested. Except for a tremendous long shot by Ozzie with one minute left to play...that is really all they had. The score could have been by a much wider margin but we missed a few shots that we should have had. That was probably because of a layoff. Way to go guys....4-1 margin now.
  9. I really like the looks of the TN roster and agree with you about Carter Paden. I asked a few people and heard that he was out of town...so that may be the reason. However, I know these things are hard to pick but I could not believe that Carter Paden was not on Best of Preps....just a tremendous player I believe alot were very surprised that he was not on first or at least 2nd team. The other shock for me was Andrew Roden. Most people that watched Baylor play thought he is the best defender in the city....can't believe not 1st team....but not even 2nd? Bazaar. Glad to see he would be an all star anyway. I will be going to Dalton to hopefully see a very talented Tn team win....if not it will at least be a great game between the border states.
  10. I have not seen the roster posted yet....but it should be very soon. I have heard a partial list for the Tennessee guys though...and as you would expect it is a who's who for Southeast Tennessee. A ton of talent. Georgia will be as well with a hot bed of talent in the Dalton/Whitfield area.
  11. I have not seen the roster for either state but it will be held at Dalton's Harmon Field. This is also the Dalton High football field. It is maybe the best public school field that I have ever seen....alot of money in Dalton. Dalton is also well known for their soccer teams and not just at Dalton but either Southeast or Southwest Whitfield.
  12. I went to alot of soccer games this year in the greater Chattanooga area and by far the best to me was the Baylor vs McCallie games....both of them really. The first one a 0-0 tie. But the second game for the district championship was tops in my book. These two old rivals gets as intense as I have ever seen. One side.....total red. The other side total blue. Both student sections get roudy but in a fun way. Yelling out old school cheers. Grandparents, parents, alumni....everyone comes out and it is fun to take in. Even with the rain....the game was very entertaining.....especially if you are a Baylor fan. Baylor took it again from McCallie at the blue's home. This is such a colorful series in any sport they play against each other in. Add all this to the top two teams in Chattanooga going at it...made it my favorite game to see this year.
  13. I could not agree more. Great to see all of these Tennessee teams in the top 50....
  14. cheap shot....even coming from someone from brothers...gene etter and his guys are a class act

CBHS vs JPII should be an interesting game. They will try and avenge the earlier loss to JPII...but if they do that don't assume they win go to the final. They would then have to avenge last year's championship loss to Baylor. Baylor looked very good today....much better than last week. At this point of the game nothing is a given for any team.
  16. I counted 9 states represented in the top 50 but that does not mean that is all of the states playing. Obviously Calif, Texas and Florida play in the fall. But it is just fantastic that 8 Tennessee teams made the top 25 with at least 9 states involved.
  17. Baylor plays Memphis University School Saturday @ 11:00 am Baylor's soccer stadium
  18. This is just awesome! 8 Tennessee teams in the top 25!!!
  19. I am sure the big D1 school, South Carolina, that signed Tarr thought he was overrated too. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  20. I have a feeling that McMinn County will take this one...in a very close game 2-1.
  21. Congratulations CSAS on your victory. I know this was supposed to be a down year for you but you put it together when it counted. Good luck.
  22. Congratulations Boyd Bucs! I wish I could have come to this game as I try to watch alot of different teams. I will make every effort to come to the Boyd vs CSAS game Thursday....where will it be?
  23. I have seen Notre Dame a couple of times this year but have not seen a Boyd game in 2 years at least. I have read in several posts about Boyd's extreme physical play, etc. Does it really appear that the coach teaches them to not defend within the rules? Do they average alot of yellow cards in a game and have they gotten a red card this year? Just curious and this may be the game I want to see tonight.
