Show me an unbiased panel of coaches, or reporters, or parents , or administrators, etc. and I could agree with you. For an example: when one of our parents (again, not me) inquired with Eurosport as to why we (Station Camp) were not ranked above Lipscomb, even though we had a better record and had beaten them, the question was forwarded to a Lipscomb coach or administrator for an "official" response. And they did respond. They were offended that such a question was asked, and gave several excuses as to why they lost. Evidentally those "excuses" were taken into consideration when the coaches were polled.

A tournament squad shall be limited to 22 players. A coach can choose to dress more than 22 players; however only 22 can be listed on the game roster. TSSAA shall pay expenses to the state tournament for 22 players and one coach. Can anyone explain just what this line means from the TSSAA site? It is under instructions for teams participating in the state tournament.

Thanks for the well wishes. SC is very young also. We start 4 freshmen and 4 sophomores (at times 5 sophomores). But most of the girls have played travel and are very experienced.

Yeah, a couple of hot headed dads (not me) had issues last year. Everything was cordial this year. The field was in good shape this year, we have fixed the drainage issues so no big soft, wet spots. We have a good sized field with much better grass this season--a few bumps here and there but no big problems. SC played very well. I didn't see the speed from CCS that I was expecting. Possession was probably 60/40 SC. Keeper for CCS didn't seem to be "in the game". When the score became 2-0 she came out and returned as a field player. SC's defenders and keeper have a lot of talent and confidence.

SC is more concerned with the first game start time than the opponent. I may have to miss 3 days work instead of 2 if we are not given the latest time on Wednesday. And if we play good enough to make it to the championship game on Saturday, my wife and I will be fighting about which of us is gonna miss it. The 10 year old has a tournament in Evansville, IN next weekend.

SC up 8-0 at the half. One of our defenders had a well placed shot for an OG for the final 8-1. Hats off to the Dekalb team. As a huge fan of soccer, I really appreciated the fact that none of their players got down. They all seemed to be enjoying that they were simply playing the game. I have always tried to convince my daughter that there are good teams and bad, but the most important thing is that the players on both teams WANT to play.
