As to not being able to get into endzone on that one drive, coach put in second team and they ran a few plays before field goad, and it was not from the 1 it was from like the 7 or 8 yard line. Forrest did not score on the first team, they scored on the 3rd team at almost end of scrimmage. Overall I thought JB looked pretty well for this early.
Roy I think that boy never stopped lifting those weights so he should be ready for next year. I am not playing with you either. When Murphy gives you his new book for next year you'll see that the Adkins boy won the job. And yes he is the coaches son. Let me tell you about this boy...he has a strong arm and can run pretty good. He was a sophomore this year and probably the youngest QB JB has started in quite some time. He played real good for a sophomore but also showed that he was a sophomore at times. He will get a lot better if he works hard and realizes his potential both as a leader and football player. He threw for a little over 1,000 yards this year with 12 TDs and 4 Int.s. He will need some receivers to step up next year but I like our young receivers. Our receivers are good and fast but I think they'll need a little stickem on their hands early on. One receiver we have can run the 50 yard dash real fast. You just wait and see Roy, Murphy will tell you all about the "Devils In The '10" in his new book. Hey let me ask you a question...how does this website I created look?
Not sure you can say he won the job, seems the backup was the quarterback in the biggest game of the regiion and played very well and from all indications could have won the job if given the opportunity.
Seems there were holding on both sides the other night.
And as far as the hit on the kicker, he was blocked into him for one thing
and another if your kicker runs out of the pocket before he kicks like
he was doing, he is fair game.
Oh well,, good luck Mt Pleasant.
