  1. Not sure where you are getting your information, but according to the 2012-2013 profile on their website, it is 389 for grades 9-12.
  2. According to the profile on their web site, their enrollment is less than 400.
  3. ECS would still not likely move up with a cutoff of 400
  4. Actually ECS is 4-0. The poll has had the wrong record for them for several polls. It's hard to believe that they get it wrong every week.
  5. Not every school has the same rules. There are multiple bureaus that schools utilize to independently verify need. The different bureaus will come up with verified needs which are different based on the bureau utilized. They each have different rules and what counts toward the verified need. Once the verified need is determined, then each school can utilize them differently. Some schools require students to pay at different levels of the verified need so that they will provide financial aid at a only a specified percentage of the verified need. In addition, some schools utilize minimum requirements so that regardless of the verified need, no student pays less than a specified amount. Finally, based on the school, the number of students in the family attending may also impact the amount of verified need met. There are other factors considered as well, such as actual tuition, availability of tuition funding mechanisms, diversity goals, etc. However, since the schools have different approaches and philosophies about financial aid, schools can have very different amounts of financial aid awarded.
  6. There are only 5 players from TN high schools on the 2011 SEC pre-season first, second or third teams. Of the five, three are first teamers. The only DII player selected on any of the preseason teams is from DII-A and was named to the first team. Looks like this D-2 lower division player takes his football seriously.
  7. I certainly remember that 2002 game, and not too fondly. That one came down to who was hungrier. I have never seen a Carlton Flatt coached team so overconfident and under-prepared. Although I don't think that upset was quite as shocking as the one last Friday, both of those teams were much better and more talented than any team in the state this season, including MUS. If you look at those rosters and see how many of those guys ended up playing DI football at the next level, it's pretty amazing. BA alone had 6 DI signees from that senior class, I believe. I do not see how those teams could have been much better than MUS, at least according to the current rankings. MUS is now ranked #10 in the nation according to Rivals.
  8. Why throw out ECS? They are not Div II- AA (but are Div II-A) and they certainly do not recruit. They do belong in the top ten. let's throw out the DII-AA schools because they recruit: 1-germantown 2-milan 3-henry co. 4-white station 5-whitehaven 6-crockett.co 7-liberty tech 8-mitchell 9-camden 10-mckenzie
  9. I would think that CAK would also qualify as a real private school in Knoxville even though they do not play in DII
  10. ECS won 31 to 28. CBHS scored a TD with about 30 seconds left in the game.
