Yes TCA lost 4 starters, but the guys under them are just as good from what I could tell from JV games and such forth. The guys played a lot over the summer with AAU. The seniors that they lost were not necessarily more talented it was just that they played very well together. Yes, Adamsville is returning the MVP, but he was never the one that really hurt TCA... it was outside shooting. I dont know, just my thoughts as seeing I would stray away from the norm. Either way, they have to go through Memphis to go anywhere, as District 16-A is really really tough.

I think this one is going to be very competitive this year. I do not believe that Adamsville will go undefeated in the district this year. Look for TCA and JCS to give a shot at the title. My opinion. 1. TCA 2. Adamsville 3. JCS 4. Madison 5. Scotts Hill 6. Riverside

That was a very exciting football game to watch. Neither team was willing to give up. I cant believe more things have not been said about Springer, he is a great ball player. Congratulations Lake County and TCA keep your heads up you had a fantastic season.

Great post gridiron. Wouldnt playing at home make anybody happy. I dont think TCA would be looking past LC, they were just excited to have playoff games at home, especially on that field they have. Both teams have a lot to offer or else they would not have made it to where they are, so no team in their right mind would overlook somebody at this point, bc yes it would be a long night for anyone.

Bigwes.... Thanks for the comments. I have never thought of it that way. Im glad there are officials that are willing to work hard and make the game better like you. My point was that after the game we have to forget about what calls were made. Although it is our human nature to complain and moan, but there is nothing we can do after the fact to change it. Yes I agree, something should be done when officials are out there for show. If nothing else, when a team loses it should give them that much more motivation to come and prove something the next year... especially when we get to this point. I was just very confused because Lake County won and were still complaining. It seems like a lot happened down there last Friday night that neither side is pleased with. Ill be at the game this Friday night and look forward to seeing a very good game with speed everywhere.

I have never heard a team complain so much about officials and they are the team that won. We all know you cant change an officials call. If you think you are so much better then you go out there and make a split decision call in the heat of the moment. We do not have instant replay in high school, so yes we are human and sometimes they are going to make a bad call and we as fans have to accept it. Besides, refs travel for playoff games to try to eliminate the bias. Lets just the kids play and what happens... happens.

mrbigster.... can you change the name of this topic to region 8-A if you would like to know about both sides. I was looking for forum about District 15-A and couldnt find it. I dont think that Adamsville will take completely off with that district this year. TCA and JCS will be in contention. Agreed that 16-A and 14-A are REALLY good districts, but 15-A has a season to play too. I do know TCA graduated several seniors but have some talent coming up under them. I dont think JCS loses very much. Adamsville lost some good players, but they always have people come up under them and always always very well coached.

JCS cant expect McKenzie to allow them to do whatever they want like UC did. JCS also played a tough non-region schedule ( DCA, Southside) and then were one play away from winning 8-A. Both of these teams know there is a team playing in Jackson that would love another shot at them. I take JCS in a close one 24-17

Southside did not have a run through schedule. They played some very good teams. but just happened to be that much better than them always blowing them out. There is no doubt that Southside can score. they are going to be working pass coverage all week. I dont know if anyone can score enough points to stay with them. SS 35 GC 21

If a team is picked to lose bc they lost to a team that they are playing beat, then both of the teams should not show up at all on Friday night. There is a reason they play the games. I dont know what happened in Somerville last friday, but Lake Co beat a very good football team. Both teams want revenge on their region rivals that are playing up in Mckenzie. I look for both teams to come out hungry. Im gonna have to go with TCA in a close one because of the balanced attack and being at home.

Probably not so sad for them now that they won 28 -7 and get to host the game next week against Lake County. And looking at the brackets they would host all the way out now barring that they win.

Lake County better pray hard just to stay close to Fayette tommorow. Fayette beat Trinity by 3 touchdowns and Trinity beat Lake County pretty good in a preseason scrimmage. Even if they win, they would have to play any of the teams that beat them in the regular season.

It's hard to imagine getting those kids to be able to play after all that happened. I will agree that he has done a great job this year, I know I wouldnt want to deal with all that. But back on topic .... yes, Bruceton's defense numbers have improved against Lake County, West Carroll, and Union City but they are not the competition level as TCA, as proven in TCA- WC game and I believe that TCA handled LC pretty well in a pre-season scrimmage... correct me if im wrong on that. Its no doubt going to be a fun atmosphere with a lot of people with Huntingdon being home and hopefully TCA will bring a good crowd.

I was at the game when TCA and Bruceton played in Jackson. If my memory serves me correctly... Trinity had 2 touchdowns for sure come back if not 3 on penalties away from the play. I feel as if the weather really affected those guys in Somerville. Bruceton always provides a great football atmosphere, so it should be a good in Hollow Rock. They say its hard to beat a good time twice, but the way TCA handled them in the first game, I see no reason why it wont be any different this time. TCA - 28 Bruceton - 12
