In this scenario... would mean that Huntingdon won their district and would be the #1 seed. You are right... the Huntingdon - McKenzie game and also the Huntingdon - Dresden game have seeding implications in this quad.

After looking at it... I think the teams in Quad 3 that are listed will be the teams that make it. I think seedings will shape up like this. 1. Huntingdon 2. Adamsville 3. Loretto 4. Mt. Pleasant 5. Riverside 6. McKenzie Loretto and Mt. Pleasant will get a home playoff game due to preferential seeding. The same concept puts Huntingdon over Adamsville even though Adamsville will have a better record. The McKenzie - Huntingdon games looms large for seeding in this bracket.

Quad 4 will probably end up like this. 1. Trinity Christian 2. Mitchell 3. Trenton 4. Hillcrest 5. Halls 6. Carver

I wish they would at least include the current top 2 from each district in the projections. Looks like there are several teams that will finish in the top 2 that arent listed. Anybody have a more accurate projection?

Exactly... these are the kind of days you live for. Two GOOD teams. Great basketball environment. All of these kids have already accomplished a lot this season... my hope is that they carry it into life too. Nobody wants to see anybody injured... one of the girls team came in with a girl with torn ACL last night and that just makes me hurt. Mitchell and BTW will definitely be some great games the next few years.

Btw1993, I can promise you NO ONE at Trinity thinks BTW doesnt have a chance. Trinity knows that BTW has long and proud history of winning. You dont get to this point (with 25 wins and a Mr. basketball finalist) and not be good. Tonight's game is between two of the top teams in the state. I think it is a game that everyone has been waiting on. Trinity knows they will have to play well to win this game... as should BTW. Its sad that one of the best teams in the state will go home tonight... whomever wins. Both teams are good teams and both deserve a lot of respect. The trash talk you are referring to is mostly from people that arent even associated with Trinity. And all of the trash stems from last year on here... Booker T was made out to be some super-team that nobody could take down or even compete with for that matter. Then, a bigger and more athletic team (that was supposed to be far superior to everyone) held the ball. You say it was to bring the guards out, but your coach said it was to take the refs out of the game (this was quoted in the paper). This is where people are confused, why would a team that superior need to hold the ball and why would you allow to stay close if you wanted the refs out of it... doesnt it make sense that if it is close they could make a call to change it. The other reason people are talking trash is the constant state of talking about getting cheated by the officials. You have already brought it up several times this year. You said earlier it should be about the kids... let it be about the kids then. I hate that a team as good as BTW has to even mention anything else... if they get beat tonight, its not the officials fault... it is bc they played a good team. TSSAA assigns the referees for each Region... if it was in Memphis it would be the same officials. I hate when teams just feel like they are going to be cheated and bring things like that up... it is just an "out" in case they were to lose. No matter what happens, both TCA and BTW have had great season and nothing to be ashamed of already. I do, however, agree with you that its time for a fun night of basketball. I am really looking forward to this game. We get to see two of the top teams in the state play tonight. I also dont fault you btw1993 as you are just backing your team and supporting them. Scotts Hill does not see these refs either... so shouldnt it be imtimidating to them also? The refs that ref the Region 8 tournament come from the Northwest association and Scotts Hill uses the Jackson association. So, neither team sees the group of referees ref their Region tournament game. I do, however, agree with you that when Memphis teams (boys and girls) see refs they dont normally see, they automatically assume that they will be cheated.This is where they need to quit worrying about that and just play. It doesnt matter where the refs come from, they are going to make mistakes at some point in the game... this is part of being human and fallible.

Exactly... why would they report false information. Haha The first district title came in 2008... was actually the last time the district tournament was at TCA. Played JCS in the championship game.

TCAIntense... this would be TCA's second championship. Riverside definitely has the talent to win this game. Scotts, Hehe, and Mays are all good players. Im with you Intense... I think TCA's depth and pressure win this game.

You do realize that up until last year the Region site was determined by TSSAA. Since TCA is the only centrally located gym in the Region (well Madison, but they couldnt host anything until this year) it only makes sense. The TSSAA still decides based on location on the side of district. Westwood was not the only one that voted to be ok with having at TCA last... It would have had to been a majority. And I would bet it is over the fact they make money when the tournament is in Jackson (not just because the people at TCA fed the Memphis teams) because as Tradertwo said people from 15A travel. Jackson makes since because you have teams from both rivers coming and that is right in the middle.

TCAIntense did not bring this up... it is btw1993 that keeps bringing it up talking about home cooking. My question is ... if you are worried about a ref blowing a call... why would you allow the game to be close so that it could matter?? TCA has no say in what officials are at Region that decision is made my TSSAA and will always be a district that doesnt see either team. Mr. TSSAA is the one that said something about it being close last year and picked TCA bc of what they return and what BTW lost. Listen... TCA knows very well how good BTW is. But, they also know they have to take care of business in the district first with Middleton and Riverside before they worry about Regions.

Maybe you should check that. Saying TCA shot in the double bonus in both halves is a little skewed, so did Riverside. In the first half, there were the same amount of fouls called. In the second half, Im pretty sure it was about 14 fouls (scoreboard stops at 10 and I know there were a few more) against TCA and 2 against Riverside very late in the game, as in 3 1/2 minutes left. Riverside then had to foul at the end and it took several fouls just to put TCA in the bonus and bc they had to foul is the only reason they reached double bonus. TCA does play agressive defense and with that there will be fouls. Please dont get on here and make it look someone was cheated and not give all the information. TCA played a stretch in that game that I have been waiting to see from them and Riverside is a good team and can be dangerous come tournament time as they have plenty of weapons.

I can understand that, you are taking up for your team. Most of the bashing I have read is more against the coach than the team.

First off, Congratulations to BTW on a great road win last night. Any win at this time of the year is a good win. BTW is a VERY GOOD team and Im not sure why some of you cant accept that. They will now be hosting Humboldt and the game will be two very similar teams playing in that they win games on athleticism, not fundamentals. Congrats BTW on the win and being named Region Champions. The atmosphere was incredible with a close game and fans into the game. Now, on to some other issues. Sheriff, I really want to like you because you are supporting your teams, but sometimes it is hard. It is almost as if you make it out that everyone is out to get BTW. You have a VERY GOOD team to watch and support but some of the claims you make... I would be really interested to know what deal you think was made, because I almost guarantee that is a made up rumor. Also, had the regions been played in Memphis, it would have the EXACT same referees. The Northwest association will do that game as Jackson and Memphis have teams playing. During regions, the refs must be from non-affiliated associations. Also, the crew that reffed the Championship game were three totally different guys than the crew from the TCA-Westwood semifinal... that same ref (well the one that called the charge in semifinal was not even there). You act as if every call was questionable against your BTW Warriors. Refs are human and they are going to make mistakes, actually they are going to make mistakes every game. I guess the "questionable" calls are any that go against your team... especially a charge call or over the back call. It seems as if these are not called in Memphis. When a player lowers his shoulder into the defender with legal guarding position, it is a charge or player control foul. Also, when a player jumps and crosses the plane of verticality(an imaginary plane that extends from the players body) of the opponent, it is a foul. I hate that the refs are even coming up ... BTW is too good of a team to have to use that as a crutch, and yes you are using as a crutch in case you lose. By the way, you will not have "YOUR"(or Memphis association) refs for anymore of the games. As far as the stall ball, I personally thought it was crazy. Now you won, but you allowed TCA to hang around and that almost came back to haunt you. Usually, teams hold the ball because they think they are inferior... now, the Jackson Sun has a quote from Coach Horton that it was done to keep the officials out of the game... as posted before, why would you hold it to keep it close and even give the officials a chance to screw it up if you believe they will. The stall tactic totally took your boys out of rhythm... because they came out firing. But hey a win is a win. The lady that got kicked out should have not been acting like a fool or the official would not have had her removed. Again, congrats to BTW on a great win and being named Region Champions. Humboldt, you better be ready to play, they are a good team. Newby will be hard for anyone to guard... hes quick, big, and strong. TCA... Good Luck!!! Hope this one is as fun as Tuesday night. Booker T. brings a squad that can get up and down the court and score in bunches. Newby is definitely a big time prospect. Can TCA withstand the pressure and limit BTW's second chance points? This will determine the game. I look for a great game in a great atmosphere.
