  1. Looks like the Owls are on to Smyrna next week to face the bulldogs. Hopefully the balanced attack of the Owls will be too much for the dogs. The Owls football program now 28-0 for 2006 baby!! Hopefully the Owl faithful will load up and head up state to support their Owls. Should be a great ballgame. Sounds like Smyrna has a pretty good D, but so do the Owls. GO OWLS!!!
  2. I can't see two teams, much less one team, rushing for 400 yards on the Owls. I hope they meet up. It would be a great game.
  3. Way to go Admirals. I really thought WB had the better team after seeing both teams play. I guess not. Hope the QB is ok. If not, It could be a long night next week. I can't see you running all over the Owls D. They have really turned it up a notch since they played you last.
  4. For all I read on this thread about how good SC was, I was not impressed. The front 7 for the owls D put a hurtin on the rb and qb. I thought #20 broke the qb in half on one hit. The was one of the worst officiated games I have seen all year. I have no idea why the player was tossed. He didn't swing at another player or anything. Never seen anything like it. I heard that the Ad's QB got hurt tonight against WB. Any truth to the rumor? The back up must have playe well the second half. Next week should be fun. Go Owls!! Now all the Owls football teams are 27-0. WOW!!
  5. Tell me it ain't so. I hear handed DB it first and last loss of the year. I thought this was a weak region??? Guess not huh... Billy Blount is a solid football team. The Owls were fortunate to win against them.
  6. Owls Win!! 38-14 Keep it going Owls... 26-0 for all the Football Owls. WOW!!
  7. First let me start off by saying, Congrats to all the Owls football teams (Varsity, JV, and Freshman) for an undefeated regular season (25-0). I'm not sure if anyone else in the state can say that. Second, can the Owls win state? As much as I would love to see it happen, "I" don't think they will have enough down the stretch to pull it off without some luck going their way. All champions need a little luck to be able to run the table. Some call it luck, some call it Destiny. Any number of things can equalize a game. Turnovers, weather, coaching just to name a few. Ask Riverdale fans about the latter because they should be sitting there undefeated. They never should have lost to McCallie and anyone who says otherwise is an idiot. This is coming from a totally unbiased party!! I do think McCallie will win state for Div II however. To win state and go undefeated, you need a few bounces to go your way and the Owls have had their share so far this year. I hope they continue to go the Owl's way. One thing about this years Owls team, they do not quit!! I must say, this is what impresses me the most. In the past, Owls teams would lay down when things didn't go their way. Anyone who plays the Owls will know they have been in a fight regardless of the outcome. Now, with that said, GO OWL'S, WIN STATE!!
  8. Make that 26-0!! Varsity 10-0 JV 5-0 Freshman - 11-0
  9. What a game! The score was 8-6 Owls at the half. The Owls returned the opening kick-off of the second half and never looked back. Hats off to Farragut. They aren't as bad as the score indicates. They have a very good QB and an excellent running back. They just had some unfortunate breaks. Their line is big and pretty good. I think the Owls speed was the deciding factor. Jordan Patty - LB (defensive MVP) had two interceptions returned for touchdowns, one was 102 yards. Brandon Bruel - FB (offensive MVP)had 3 touchdowns and close to 150 rushing. The Owls future looks bright as long as they can stay eligible. C'mon guys, hit the books!!!
