I think the Tigers are beginning to believe in themselves again. They are getting their swagger back. Other teams better look out heading into the playoffs. They will be hard to handle.

I went and watched for myself and aint going to say that they wouldn't have stopped him but no one else did so it would have to be proven to me before I believe it. He may not have gotten his regular 250 but he would have gotten 150 or so. SP was tough but a call here or there and a different day of the week McKenzie could have been in the game. A real turning point in McKenzie's attitude in that game came when the guy fumbled the ball, after he was down, and SP picked it up and ran it back for a TD. That took the wind out of their sails I thought. Butchie I don't want to be on your bad side so I'll stay off your case. Marco is playing for Independence CC. You can go to kjccc.org and check in on him. I believe him to be hampered by a bad ankle for several games this year. He is averaging about 4 yards per carry so far.

The season is a little farther along now. Anyone with opinions out there? I think MP is improving every game and practice.

I can tell you there ain't much fat among that 312 either.

That's easy to say but hard to prove. I think more teams are evenly matched, could be that the regions are up overall, just don't have that one dominant team. I would match MP's team this year up against last years team. On paper I would consider it very even. We aren't scoring as much but we are holding opponents to a TD less per game. This years team lost the first 2 games by a combined 5 pts when last years team went 1 - 1 but had the same combined pt spread, loosing by 19 to LC then beating Fairview by 10 or 14 or so.

PC would have to beat WC this week and/or Collinwood next week to make it I think. Many things could happen in the 3 remaining weeks that would affect the final standings. All I know is that I'm pulling for PC to win this week.

My 401-k is saying it ain't free. I'm paying millionaires millions to make poor decisions so they can take vacations in the Caribbean drive Hummers and buy bigger yachts. Free for them maybe but not me.

Mt. Pleasant can't really worry about the other scenerios. They must first win this game. They have the talent if they will carry the intensity with them this Friday night they should be able to pull it off but if they don't MC will make the trip back home a very long one. Staying on blocks and backs hitting the holes like they want to dish out punishment will be a must this week. If these two things don't happen it could be a long night.

Butchie I have to disagree with you and will put a wager on it happening just like you say. I'm positive it won't. Region 5 or 6 hosts the simis this year. 7 and 8 had it the last 2 years. We ain't gona stand for you having it again this year.

That is a long ride and a bad night to be out.

It's really a make or break game for both teams. They should both be pumped for this game. The one that wins has a chance to win the region or at least get a home play off game, the one that looses shouldn't get a home playoff game and may not get a playoff game at all depending what happens with the remaining games. Tigers better prepare well.

I agree. Now with a good week of practice they can carry confidence with them to MC. Work hard, concentrate in practice, learn the plays and listen to the coaches.

Good to talk to you Chunk d and Greenman. Chunk luck is always good to have but we need to keep up the hard work in practice over the next several weeks. I saw a lot better blocking last night but we aren't where we want to be yet. Our depth, our first rotators, are looking a lot better but still need to work hard and fire off the ball and pass block a little better. Moore County is going to be a tough test. MP players need to remember they beat WC earlier in the season so a good week of practice is imperative.

Tonight will tell us a lot about our team. I'm sure we will have our heads on better than we did last week but C'wood is always tough. Last several years they have caught us at Fall Break time and this year is no difference. I just hope the boys keep focus and play to their potential.
