  1. Frustration is not about the child leaving it is the way he was taken. The family was approached, not the other way around Bostie while the kid was at a football camp and now Ensworth doesn't want the rules to be followed and have him sit out a year. They want him to play now, if MP will just sign a paper so they can get around the rules. redtwin and kwoodroof 2+2 = 4 no matter what school you attend. I'm sure at ensworth they somehow come up with 5 for the answer and have a logical explanation for it. If they didn't want him for football why do they keep begging for him to be released. Let him concentrate on his academics. nuff said.
  2. Why should you know anything about this "alleged" visit? You see you look at this from your perspective I look at it from mine. You say our administrator is the one who is taking the football aspect away when it is Ensworth's, either administration or boosters, who didn't reserch the issue before enticing this kid to go to their school. They should have informed the kid up front that he would be ineligible for a season up front. It didn't happen! They have tried on numerous occasions this year to have him released by asking the principal sign a statement that is false, the last being the "alleged" visit by Tim and Faith. It is their fault the kid isn't playing. Don't try to lay it off on our administration. MP followed and continues to follow the rules your guys didn't.
  3. They were!! It fell through though. Their heavy hitters didn't get the job done like they had wanted. Even Tim McGraw and Faith Hill couldn't get Antonio Richardson released. Recruiting is wrong. Ensworth wants to win a state championship but so does Mt. Pleasant. With Antonio MP would have been a lot closer, same as Ensworth. You should have left him where he was! Butt heads.
  4. 1A Lineman Preston Gilbreath Mt. Pleasant. No one in 1A dominates the line of scrimmage the way he does on the defensive side of the ball. Don't know all his stats but the opposing team consistently runs the other way and doesn't roll out to pass on his side of the field.
  5. You are correct justboro. Cascade 11 may have been confused by the non region losses by MP. Then again he may just be confused. LOL Whoops. Posting at the same time.
  6. I think you are right. I think the depth has really been helped by some early season injurys. Young guys got more quality playing time than they would have. I believe the line is doing a better job but also the backs are hitting the holes hard and running with authority. We are making some catches and some big running plays. The one downside I see is we are turning the ball over too much. Hold on to the ball. Creating turnovers and being in the plus column in turnover ratio could win games down the stretch. Playoff games will be decided by who turns the ball over and who doesn't. To our credit we have recovered many fumbles and intercepted a lot of passes. Just keep working hard.
  7. Way to long of a drive, at a bad time of day, on Friday, and we might meet up in the playoffs. I say chances are not good that we would play in the season.
  8. Huntland is out in nowhere also. Huntland to Perry County or WC/Collinwood has to be at least 2 to 2.5 hrs. TC is a big 1A school. Not a small 1A like SP.
  9. So what you are telling me is that Antonio isn't eligable yet? That's all I want to know.
  10. I can hear "Welcome to the Jungle", and "Mt. Pleasant Football" playing in the distance. Yeap the Tigers will be ready!
  11. C'wood by several if they don't overlook CA. Only by a couple of pts if they do.
  12. Quite impressive Region 5 has 3 teams in the top 11. I think maybe one of them drops out after Friday and maybe two of them. Doesn't Jo Byrns play Forrest? Cascade will have all they want from MTCS. They may come out on the wrong end of that one.
