well riverdaleman you do have it in you to give a compliment to coachA & his teaching...WOW now see it didn't hurt so much... No as to the upcoming game...keep the wins coming... nice job warriors!! keep the holes 4 VAN HOOSE to run through.. keep the QB focused nice job (smith) & the kicker great job (missing just one...the pros wld love those stats) anyways tighten things up & get fired up!!

at least we have a kicker this year...sure he missed one xtra point but heck he made one & had a few good punts & one heck of a kick that landed blackman down w/in the 5 yard line (might have been the one or two) & the game b4 that we called on the kicker alot & he came through which is something we cld not do last year. as for van HOOS its nice to have so many options in the back...he protects that ball & runs he is just awesome!! the d-fense still has a weakness w/ tackling & w/ safety so i'm sure that will be worked on & the 0-line well i'm sure Pope/Spurlock/& Travis are tired of everyone talking down on them so i'm sure they will pull it together (no doubt about it).. the 0-line is good and they will continue making the holes. Coach A knows exactly what he is doing & how to keep this team on track so i have nothing but confidence in him & his staff that wins will continue!!

oh my gosh i think we actually agree...for once you spoke the truth to have a successful wing-t offense you have to have exceptional running backs...& that we do...yes running backs (that is plural for more than one) but we can also throw .. sure we didn't last night but heck we didn't need to in order to win.. but we have a team made up of more than one or two stand alone good players there are several along w/ GREAT coaching is a winning combination!!

why tranfers is true....riverdale is passing so we do need some receivers.... so they don't pass 12 times a game evidently its not needed to win when your o-line can make holes for the backs. but i'm sure when the time comes & a passing call is needed coachA will call on it & this QB sure he had a tough passing night last night but he has pulled through with passes in previous games so i'm sure he will pull it out when its needed.

i can not believe that some of you riverdale "fans" are saying that the intensity is not there this year...i guess i was at different game... bc where i was sitting it was diffently there. You cld feel it coming off the field. The players were trying to get the crowd pumped up @ some points bc the crowd was not as into it as they cld have been. The crowd cld help out. but the players are intense. Also...there were some missed tackles on the defense...several... we need to work on that or a team will take that weakness & run all over it. Caleb really stepped up (nice job) but some of their runs & pass plays wld go through 2-3 defenders b4 getting stopped...that is not riverdale d-fense. the o-line was making some great holes for vanhoose to run through (nice job) great to have a variety to turn too. Great job Warriors!! thanks for another win!!

this will be a nice rutherford co battle...wld like for oakland & their wingt to pull this one out..good luck to both

be sure to vote in the coacht fan poll... know riverdale is really preparing for this one...not taking anyone lightly this year...they want it all badly!!

Its just nice that all of this talent is in the Rutherford Co area...crazy that it is all split up between all of these high schools & they are all doing well. Glad to see it... Used to only be Riverdale & I guess thats why everyone thinks that once they have a "decent" team that has a good win then maybe they can beat Riverdale.. well Riverdale is still the one everone needs to respect.. so the win friday goes to them.

The Riverdale vs Blackman game is a Big game...yeah I know everyone thinks their game is a big one but this is 2 week in a row that Riverdale has been left off the list... any particular reason??

any antioch people can give an update on the player that got injured on the Xpt attempt...for those not there one of thier players jumped really early trying to block an extra point & ended up getting kicked...he seemed to be hurt pretty bad. hope he is ok but was wondering if someone cld give an update.

i think that the O-line was definately more in sync this week. much better holes & the backs were able to hit them better. The only "twenty" something back that had a lot of runs was van hoose...it is hard 2 believe that a team that went from 1-2 penalties last week got a gazilion called last night with 3-4 calling back touch downs. Now the one on #23 for the late hit we all know that one was coming bc we heard the whistle up in the visitors stand & he knock him again over on the Antioch side so we knew that was coming. But some of the others were crazy. But am not going to continue bashing the refs as I could do.... Our players played well as a team last night.... Great pass for a TD!! Great running!! Great D-Fense!! just work on the penalties & the score will show what all of these great plays need it to... Oh & how about our special teams last night..blocked punt... GREAT KICKING!!! WTG WARRIORS!!

Congrats Oakland!!! WTG can anyone give details of the game for those of us that were not there?

Man I hate 2 hear this..please update with any info. our family will surely keep his family in our prayers & we will spread the word around. I know that the Oakland football family will also pull together..hope they can stay focused bc they need to pull this one out for Rutherford, but the most important thing right now is that his father recovers fully. so back to the battle between Riverdale & Antioch...how is this one going to go??? Does the wingT stand a chance against Antiochs' defense?? all we have heard on the board is about McAdoo ... I'm sure there are plenty of other talented players on Antiochs team that are getting overlooked bc of this one. No team can rely on One Player.. sure it helps to have an outstanding player to help but there is a reason it is called a TEAM..

I know that WC is using the wingT is MJ using it as well? If not I wld have to give the advantage to MJ since WC is still learning the system. If MJ is learning the wing as well then I think WC will have the upper hand. this shld be a good one though.

"I believe" u are the bias one...both Oakland & Riverdale supporters are on here talking about how well the Riverdale team did & all you can do is talk up Smyrna.. go to the Smyrna board & do that. If Smryna needs Talking Up then they must have some weaknesses you feel you have to cover by pointing out the "positives". Yes the blocks were good for those special plays but there is more to special teams and more to a team than a few blocks...Glad you have moved on Bdogg..just keep your signs & your postings over @ Smyrna & more people will not be so harsh on you. Riverdale did not let Oakland score... "I believe" Smyrna got scored on the other night.... Oakland played well but Riverdale still stopped them. The total team effort (which includes the outstanding teamwork of the coaches) pulled this one out without the penalties that Riverdale is so know to have. BIG IMPROVEMENT!! Great KICKER!!! Great communication on receiving punts!! total team effort & thats what Riverdale is about NOW!!
