I played for Spivey at Lewis County.. All of our coaches were great but Spivey was the best.. always knew he would be a fantastic head coach. I hope yall have a great season... Doc #90

I have seen quite a few teams play this season. With that being said the best player I have seen play from 1 or 2A is Lindsey Sewell from Santa Fe. She has a great inside game, a good jump shot, and plays very good defense. Shes a great all around player.

I try not to criticize people too much on here, but your a complete idiot. Your a dad to a football player? If my dad got on here when I played and said some of the stupid things you say I would have never talked to him again. With that being said...stop making excuses for a loss. You lost..now you get a rematch..if your team is a great football team they can play on a wet field, a dry field, a field with low grass, a field with high grass...and just when I thought that was the dumbest thing that could ever be posted on coacht..I see a comment saying Alcoa doesn't play ANYBODY??!!? lol wow someone already pointed out that they play Maryville...that in itself is amazing..Alcoa played and beat AT LEAST 5 schools that could have their way with Hickman County. But back to the game, which is what this forum is about... just shut up and quit complaining about the field, go to Lewis County friday and watch a good football game. As for my prediction Lewis wins by 21 or more.

Well theres no use in talking about this one anymore. The better team won the game. But hats off to Hickman County, they played tough the whole game. But when Lewis plays the way they did tonight, there aren't many teams in 2-A that can play with them. Good Luck the rest of the way Hickman. Lets finish out the season and show those other schools Region 6-2A isn't so weak after all.

lol I will believe that when I see it. Yeah these seniors were part of that team..did they play? no...Lewis probably would have won that game too if they had. But anyway...thats the past. It doesn't matter right? What matters is friday night two good football teams go head to head. I actually hope Hickman plays Lewis tough, and I am sure the players do too. lol Ok so thats one game in the last 5 meetings or more. And it was against the worst Lewis County team in the last 10 years. (the one who went and played rcomb's team and beat them in the region championship game) This is a much different football team then that one. This team has a defense....

I agree that Lewis County's D-Line will have to play good. Watch for #25 ...he is a machine...he is the best defensive end in Lewis County since Hull. I predict he will have a big game. I also predict the running backs for Hickman will have nightmares about him for a long time. If Lewis plays to their capability, it won't be much of a game.

I'm tired of hearing trash talk about this game. You people from Mt. Pleasant seem to be talking A LOT of trash. What I really can't understand is WHEN did you earn the right to talk trash to Lewis County?? Was it the last time we played? When we dismantled a Mt. Pleasant team, that honestly had no business even playing football? Or is it because you went pretty deep into the 1-A State Playoffs...whoo thats an accomplishment..hats off to you on that one. I think you guys are confused on who you are playing...perry county is a little closer to the river. I admit Mt. Pleasant is a good 1-A school...but Lewis County is a good 2-A school. Easy 87, your right there is nothing wrong with a little trash talk. Little being the key word in that sentence. It does make for a better game. The trash talk would make a lot more sense if the game was to be played next week. But its not. Its still quite a while away. And as far as standing behind my team...I am standing behind my team. I said I will be pulling for them. But its pointless to say they ARE going to win when I have doubt in my mind. As conservative as the Lewis County coach is...you never know..And I'll go ahead and end the speculation that Chuck and Eric Wright are going back to Mt. Pleasant. Well Well Well, I find topics such as these quite amusing. I myself see nothing wrong with trash talk, as long as it doesn't get carried away. Trash talk makes for a much better game. I won't make a prediction on this game because I simply don't know enough about either team. The Daily kid is a very talented kid and could be a good college player (not at quarterback of course). Other then him I am not aware that there is too much more talent on the team. The Panthers, from what I hear, have quite a few weapons coming back and other then the full back, didn't lose anyone. The Lady Panthers had a big win last night against Giles County. I was really impressed with their desire to win the game. The game was back and forth but they never quit. And pulled out the win in overtime. Micah "The Bull" Anderson played good, thats nothing new though. Yes I agree with you Nation, I am not one to get on here and bash another school, but to be honest...I was not impressed with Giles County this year. They have the players to be the powerhouse that they have been, but it seems like they should work on shooting a little more in practice. From what I seen last night, they don't have a pure shooter. That Holt kid did play good and I believe if he had not played like he did Lewis County would have won the game, regardless of their mistakes at the end. Its that time a year folks, basketball time is just about here. I do believe that the Lewis County guys will be a much more solid ball club this year. Chance Helton will show everyone just what he can do. Go Panthers!
