I agree with you OKNATIVE. Thanks for backing me up. I agree that travel and the holiday maybe a factor but, this GP team seems to have a fire about them that I have never seen before. I think even though they maybe tired, I think they have determination and they will want to replay the championship game from last year with ALCOA...this time with a better outcome.

Now VeerCoach, you know what I was referring to when I said recruiting especially, on this board. I truly don't think that GP actively goes out recruiting people just because they are good at sports. Yes, they do recruit for the student body but, they are not "recruiting" for athletes. They DO NOT offer free tuition just because someone is good at a sport...like DII schools. I disagree with your assessment of the game...COUGARS take this one.

As far as I know, there is no recruiting going on. That is why GP is still in the division they are in. Can you imagine what a scandal it would be for a "Christian" school to be lying about recruiting to the TSSAA. I truly don't think that GP's administration would risk having such a controversy. If they decided to recruit, I'm sure they would own up to it and move to DII. Just my thoughts.

You know when you have a record like ours that they will find fault with every little thing even if you win the game. Our team just needs to use this as fuel to the fire. THEY DESERVE RESPECT.

This isn't true. I don't have one particular person on the team I support. I support the team because I am a cougar parent and alumni. I see a lot of my kind at the games.

First of all, I wasn't referring to you or your team. I was responding to GOINGINSANE's remark and on this board and others. I fully agree that MILAN deserves to be where they are at this point and that WEST TENNESSEE fans SHOULD BE CHEERING for their neighbors. Matter of fact, I believe that I posted that in my reply. GOINGINSANE is from MIDDLE TENNESSEE and seems to be jealous of GP's success. Secondly, GP is getting a bum rap for being a private school. I know that my family works hard to send our kids there. I am an alumni also and my mother (being a single mother) scraped and saved for me to go there. I went there because of the Christian environment and for the smaller school atmosphere. My children are going there for the same reason. Not because I have an athletic agenda (even though my son plans on playing football). I think you will find that is the case for the majority of the student body....either their parents went there or they are there for the atmosphere. I am so tired of hearing about the so called "silver spoon" that everyone keeps talking about. Yes, there are some wealthy people that send their children to GP but, that still doesn't mean athletic dominance. There are several very wealthy private schools (that I'm not going to mention) that had awful seasons. When you are on the field, WHO CARES ABOUT WHO HAS $$$ OR NOT? Obviously, several people on this board do but, if they wanted to, they could send there children to a private school also. What matters is who plays the best at the time of the game. So, that being said, GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS. GO COUGARS!!!!!

I can't get over how many people are so jealous of GP for having such a great season. Our guys have been working so hard to have such a good season and they deserve to be where they are at this point. I know that they haven't taken playing ANY team lightly including MILAN. I would just hope that the fans from MIDDLE TENNESSEE would root for YOUR neighbors instead of MILAN just out of jealousy. I agree, the team that makes the least mistakes will win. CPA did a great job of keeping us on our toes last night. However, OUR defense did a great job keeping CPA on their toes. CPA's team is a great team!!! I think MILAN will be surprised especially, if they go into the game thinking that GP is fluke. ONCE AGAIN.... GO COUGARS!!!!!
