The whole "Tucker/Rice" argument is debatable but justifiable. The team I support is 5A but I follow 1A and the other classes pretty heavily. I would take Tucker b/c I believe he could step in and run the veer just as effectively as A.Rice but I do not believe A.Rice to run the spread as effectively as Tucker. Those are just my personal opinions and they are speculative at best. However, if you break it down by skill, both are good runners although Tucker may be a tad bit faster (not sure) and I give Tucker the edge in passing although A.Rice is a fine passer as well. I am not saying I am right or wrong, this is just my perspective, there are many points that could be brought up in eithers case but it really doesnt matter, it a close call regardless what side you take. I am not going to debate this any further b/c this thread is/should be dedicated to WC winning state.....Congrats

I honestly believe this years addition of WC is good enough to be representing the West in the 3A finals. Good job and conrats again.....

I am in the same boat as you, I am however pleasantly surprised. Conagrats to WC on a great season and a championship. I thought SP's speed would be a little too much for you guys but you play disciplined, containment, football perfectly which is what is needed against a team w/ superior speed. Well done..... Offensively, I questioned if you guys would be as effective as UC in '09 b/c you guys dont have a dominant FB like they did but you more than made up for it w/ better QB play which was compounded by the fact he is a much better passer than that UC QB was, which gave you guys perfect balance for what you guys do. Excellent game and perfect way to start off the state title games this weekend.....

I agree, but what criteria would you go by to seed teams. Maybe a power rating or something similar would work?

If you are afforded the advantage of bringing in good players scholarship or not then it is an unfair advantage and you should take your butts to D1(2).....

WC has a better passing game than that 09 UC team, but what they do not have is a player like J.Nicks as well as the ability to run the veer as effectively.....

Sorry buddy, but I remember those teams and seen Huntingdon play this year twice, they are not even close to those 2 state title teams(1 runner up)..... As far as this game, I am pulling for WC and hope they can pull it out but being honest I think SP's speed will be on another level. You ask "how fast is SP", and I answer "dont consider Huntingdon fast at all". I agree w/ the 1 poster who said it would be close early and SP pulls away in the 2nd.....

I am inclined to agree w/ you on this 1; I think SP's speed could give WC problems but w/ their ground and pound offense combined w/ their stout defense they would have a chance. Having said that, the best case scenario for WC is if Gordonsville can pull off the upset b/c I think WC matches up much better w/ them.....
