  1. I worked at UNARCO a few years back and I worked w/ a guy that played w/ him and graduated the same year or year after Curtis did. He would be able say what his stats and stuff are but I want to find something I can post here. I will just scan and post some old newspaper clippings if and when I can find them.....
  2. I have still been asking around and searching and I just cannot find anything.....
  3. Yeah I checked all of that and I know of other guys that should have been on that list too but they were not. For example Tremaine Turner and Sanantonio Beard should be on there as well as Shaub who played at David Lipscomb. They should all be on the most yards gained in a season b/c I know they all had seasons over 2200 yards. I plan on checking the Robertson Co. library if I cant find anything here b/c I know they have all of the old newspapers on record there.....
  4. Thanx Moto that would be great, he had an insane yards per carry average his senior year. I believe I know what it was but I dont want to post it. I want to see if someone puts what I think it is.....
  5. Yeah I remember Coach Brown coaching East during those years; I have emailed the TSSAA website to see if they could dig up the stats for me if they have them on record..... If you happen to bump into to him ask him if there is anywhere they have records kept of his stats if you dont mind that is. I would really apreciate it. A friend of mine does not believe what I told him about Woodards yard-per-carry average his senior year so I am trying to get someone to post it on here w/o saying anything about it. Oh and yeah, I couldnt make it to the Cascade game and I was wondering what happenned there. Good luck this week against WC.....
  6. It sounds like you played w/ him in college; he was a rare talent..... I really want to see what his senior year stats were.....
  7. Not much from what I have heard..... He is still in Cross Plains the last I heard. He did play at Cumberland and in his freshman year I heard he was averging something like 176 yards a game for like 7 or 8 games and then he dropped out...... Anyone correct me if I am wrong, that is just what I heard......
  8. Curtis Woodard played running back for ER in the late 80's/early 90's. I believe he won Mr.Football in 1991 and had some pretty amazing stats. I have done some research to see what his stats were his senior year and have been unble to find anything. I am interested to see how many yards/TDs he had but even more interested in his avg. yards per carry; I heard a really mind boggling number and just want to see if comes from another source as well. Thanx for any info if anyone has any.....
  9. JBS can both run and pass very effectively, and they have mulitiple formations where they run a variation of the spread, some option, and can line up and run power plays. I just thought the word "versatility" would sum it all up w/o having to explain in detail......lol Its all good though, I hope this was a good explanation.....
  10. Regardless of what they had last year; this is the most versitle offense MC will have seen and JBS will score as many points as they like. JBS wins big to set up what will be a very big week b/t these 2 regions JBS vs. WH-H (the big rematch) and Cascade vs. MP (been alot of talking w/ these 2 teams).....
  11. So....the best way to prove you should be ranked ahead of someone is to be them IMO.....
  12. I had previously stated that I did not believe WH-H would beat both JBS and Cascade but looking at the score from last nite I dont know. WH-H is similar to JBS defensively in that you cannot beat the horse to death; you will have to mix it up and pass some or you will not score many points. Like JBS they have that "bend but dont break" kind of defense, you may move the ball some but it is hard to put points on the board. Offensively they like Cascade will pound the ball, although they are capable to make the big play in the passing game they are not very consistent in the intermediate passing game. This has the potential to be a low-scoring game and it will be tough for Cascade to go to Whitehouse and beat WH-H. I am not sure how this game will turn out at this point......
  13. A private school supporter not liking probably the most back road, country team in the state (probably best too), thats about right.....lol
  14. I agree, I would like to see an 8 team play-off, even use the BCS system to help come up w/ those teams I dont care. At the very least I would like to see a plus-1.....
  15. Well Trey even though I may not always agree w/ some of what you say atleast you make good points to back up most of what you say unike some people (I think such and such is gonna lose cause I dont like'em /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> ) and I can appreciate that. Hopefully I will meet you and cascade11 at the WH-H game, good luck to both teams this Friday, wish I could be there..... /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  16. I played for Springfield High (1992-1996)
  17. I personally do not feel that the crowd will have much to do w/ who wins this game at all. These are 2 good experienced teams w/ good players on both sides; once you break through the fog(hype) this game will be decided on the field by the players regardless of what any of us say on coacht.....
  18. You have reached this conclsion after 1 loss; I played on a team that won the state championship and our regualr season record was 8-2. The 2 teams you mentioned the last couple of years did lose in the play-offs right? Well this loss to WH-H will help this team tremdously come play-off time; it is better to experience this kind of game b/4 you get to the play-offs so you better know how to respond to it. I bet that this loss will make them a much better team and this will be their best shot at getting to the burro IMO.....
  19. Yeah I am former military as well and I am attending APSU in pursuit of a teaching degree b/c I want to be a football coach/teacher myself. I would prefer watching Springfield(where I played) play every week but I dont go when they are having a down year b/c it is just too disheartining to watch them get detroyed week after week. So I try to go to the best game near me every week in hopes of catching a good game somewhere in the mix. I have 3 classes this spring and then I student teach next fall where I hope to coach on the staff as well, so I am also trying to enjoy going to the game of my choice while it lasts. I hopefully will see you at the Cascade/WH-H game next week.
  20. This is just my opinion so please dont take this as an attack on you or anything. I personally feel that talent is overated when determining who is the winner of a game. I feel that JBS was slightly more talented than WH-H but I still felt that Heritage mtached-up really well w/ them and had a really good chance of beating them. As far as Cascade goes from what I hear the talent level may be about even which probably cancels out talent all together and factors in other variables which will determine the game. I will say right now if 1 of the teams have multiple turn-overs that could very well cost them this game. I am not calling Cascade 1 dimensional but I know they are a run dominant team and I believe they will have to tap into the passing game a little more than they normally do b/c I dont see them continuously running the ball at JBS w/o mixing it up some. If they are unable to do this then I believe JBS will probably win the shoot-out. I know alot of people are saying this will be a low-scoring game but I believe there are going to be alot of points unless the field is really messy and niether team has good footing.
  21. Yeah I know Heritage is considered Robertson Co. but arent they still in White House which is in Sumner Co.? I dont understand how they got it all split up.....
  22. Coming from someone w/ no bias towards east, middle, or west........it changes this year; someone from the other 2 regions will make it to the burro. Cascade, MP, JBS, or WH-H. I am not going to argue about it, just wait and see.....
  23. White House, TN.....which is located in Sumner County
