  1. BC, All you've said about Jeremy Holt are great reasons and I'll add one more. In addition to his monster runs on offense, he has been a rock on defense to boot at Free Safety. He's a big part of the success of the DL defense this year as well. SND
  2. To get information about the game or about the David Lipscomb Mustangs, go to www.mustangfanpage.com .
  3. Lipscomb overall is a bit smaller, but faster this year also. It should be a great game.
  4. Wowcraft, Avoid looking at the shiny objects. (I believe this thread is about a football game between two very good programs that just happen to be Christian schools.) Lipscomb by 3 in a close one. I agree with Big Country, a FG could decide it. Sportsnutdad
  5. Brandon Cannon 6-2, 252 DE from David Lipscomb. He may be a bit small at the next level, but has a great motor and is the anchor for the DL at Lipscomb.
  6. Our prayers and deepest sympathy go out from the David Lipscomb family as well.
  7. Hunt will be moving to LT this year and Tenpenny to OLB. Cannon will be alternating between DE and RT. The numbers you have for Hunt and Tenpenny are correct, but Cannon is (#66).
  8. Both are ready to go. Cannon will be seeing a great deal of duty on both sides of the ball and Hunt will anchor the OL.
  9. Again keep in mind the Mustangs were missing several returning starters in most all of these games. A few were nicked up, but the coaches were looking at many very different players in various positions. Especially on the OL and DL, due to the loss of many starters from last year, these were undergoing many changes and some experimentation.
  10. ruse?, Not sure on camps, offers, etc... My son is a sophomore playing on DL and OL and he worked out this summer with Cameron. He said in the spring Cameron was 300 lbs, but Cameron said he had dropped a bit. That's why I said 290. If your tape is from last year he was listed at 275 then. I never hear anything on Lipscomb's better lineman being looked at. Just curious if they don't get notice because they're not good enough for the next level or due to the fact they don't show up at the right camps. How do players typically get invited to camps like the Nike camp? Does someone notice them and approach their coach? Does their coach initiate the process? sportsnutdad
  11. Anyone have an opinion on Cameron Hunt from David Lipscomb? How good is he? Will he be able to play at the next level or not? He's 6'3" and over 290 lbs, so he's a good sized kid.
  12. Lipscomb is really loaded in the backfield this year. Their challenges will be in rebuilding their line. BTW Jeremy Holt benches over 300 lbs and has worked his tail off in the weight room. He should be ready to have a great year.
  13. Evan Webb '09 of David Lipscomb at 6'2" and 225. He started as a sophomore and is a very good athlete with great instincts.
  14. Zach Rogers a junior WR from David Lipscomb HS. His older brother is a scholarship WR at Tennessee.
  15. I should have mentioned Zach Rogers of David Lipscomb also. His stats aren't overwelming due to the fact Lipscomb doesn't pass a great deal. However, he has 9 catches for 293 yards and 6 touchdowns for the year. Oh and his brother is a WR for UT. (It's in the genes.)
  16. BTW - His stats for the year are 34 tackles, 36 assists, 2 sacks, 4 tackles for loss, 2 fumbles recoveries and 5 passes broken up....not too shabby.
  17. Evan Webb of David Lipscomb should be noted. He's 6'2" and 210 lbs with excellent speed and a real nose for the ball at linebacker.
