  1. Sounds to me this was more of a personal pun on Coach Morris and the great staff he has over at Tullahoma for not showing at your meeting, rather than actually picking the best wrestler. Cyree or.......WHO??? No offense to that kid at all, but seriously? Cyree is one of the best wrestlers in the state, at any weight. I can't say that I'm surprised though, You Middle TN flok always try to put your own twist on things to be a little different. This was not a wise decision when marketing your area to the greats over here in Chattanooga!!! Its ok tho, we will gladly take Cyree off your hands! At least he has a former Chatt area guy as a coach! I'm now very excited to see how this weight plays out!
  2. I find it odd that the Signal Mtn. loyals have seemed to have such a problem with Coach Lennon and yet Notre Dame and Cleveland loyalist preach a completely different tune. I have heard nothing but great things about Coach Lennon over the years. My family and I have known Coach Lennon for a long time and have never witnessed any unacceptable behavior while he has coached or off the mat. He has always conducted himself in a professional manner while having fun and teaching young men great life lessons and some good wrestling as well. To hear people from Signal Mtn. complain about a coach cursing and having anger issues only gives me one thing to say, Leave Bill Price out of this! Wrestling is a sport of passion and emotion. High school wrestling is intense. It's not for every boy that walks the halls of a school. It is a sport that requires these young men to be responsible and own up to the fact that they ARE YOUNG MEN. The boys that can't handle that emotion have band, soccer, and other activities people on this board don't care about. I think Coach Lennon understands this and teaches it. I don't think he yells at his theater students or curses them because there is a fine line on what certain individuals can handle. Wrestlers are a different breed and if someone yelling hurts your feelings maybe it's not the sport for you.
  3. I believe coaches are entitled to such things.......before they make their schedule. After you have scheduled though??? It just looks cowardly. For whatever the reason. If I were to guess Ridintime, you could be thinking good Ole Tex was referring to the whole private/public school standpoint of wrestle if ya want, no big deal if you don't want to. I could be wrong, just a guess.
  4. Tex23- are you in charge of Walker Valley's public relation department?
  5. ScottyMike...News flash, just like yesterday and the day before, nobody cares what you have to say. From what I heard it was a pretty close match the last time the Mules and the Purple Pansies wrestled. Nothing to gain or not, you man up and wrestle. No excuse for that but I wouldn't expect someone like you to understand that. I just talked to one of my good friends at Hixson and they haven't backed out of a match this year. I also asked a good friend at Notre Dame, they haven't backed out of a match either. Nor has Soddy, Baylor, or Bradley. All these teams have made a habit out of winning but even when they aren't winning they conduct themselves with dignity and character. Little C could learn from them. Enjoy last years title while it lasts because you don't become a champion by cutting corners and avoiding competition.
  6. Just throwing some names out that seem like they could have. Kevin Ward, Kyle James of Soddy Daisy Rusty Blackmon, Quinn Gibson, Travis Creagan, Matt Keller of Bradley Matt McCarty of Clarksville Phillip Simpson of MBA Just a few that came to mind that MIGHT be in that mix.
  7. Yes it is. Just google talk radio 102.3 and it takes you to their web sight and an icon pops up on the main page to listen live. Pretty simple.
  8. Looks like this should be an exciting tournament.
  9. The wrestling hour that comes on Chattanooga talk radio 102.3 ( presented by check into cash) is great for Tennessee and Chattanooga area wrestling. Danny Gilbert does a great job making the sport we love appealing to the normal a wrestling fan as well as the wrestling fan that is new to the sport. Everyone should try to listen to this great wrestling show. They cover not only Chattanooga wrestling but the entire state as well as college wrestling. Is there anyway we could get the radio show on sooner in the season? Also would be great to hear from more coaches from around the state. UTC coach Eslinger was on the week before the southern scuffle and it was fun to listen to his point of views.
  10. Baylor, McCallie, and Bradley have all 3 had teams in the top 20 before. The late 90's and 2000s all 3 had very impressive team on the national scale. I might be wrong on this but I believe it was 2000 or 2001 that Baylor and Bradley both cracked top 15 in the country.
  11. Never said they weren't in different classifications Scotty. So what light does my post look stupid in? Good try.... Either way, if they finish lower the 3, those powers consider it a bad year.
  12. Also I can't open the multiple personal messages you have sent me for whatever the reason......Wow, not a top 3 prediction from you? If Baylor,Bradley,Cleveland,McCallie, Soddy, finish lower than 2 they consider it a down year.
  13. More power to the C, I wish them the best. Just posting to YOU so you know how dumb you come across to everyone. Not really to worried about the c. Obviously from the context of my previous posts I have no affiliation with the little division.
  14. Please visit my page and give me 5 stars Trubek

  15. You're obviously missing my point. You do nothing but spout off nonsense about the lowercase c while talking smack toward Baylor,Bradley,Cleveland,McCallie, and Soddy people...All who have CRUSHED little c for YEARS. You also act like people care that you predicted "the c" to win baby state. Nobody cares. I bet you also predicted the Twilight books would become hit movies. Oh wait, again, nobody on here cares! Also, never claimed to know it all but I did watch first hand for YEARS the pounders take a few poundings themselves. I also remember some good teams Coach Crawford put together, I'm sure he would think you're just as much of an idiot as the rest of us.
