Newsom will be somewhere in the top 5 at state next year...i doubt MLK will go 1,2,3, that would be pretty insane. Someone will keep that from happening, whether or not it is Newsom. I will bet 1,000 Stanley Nickles on that!

Your right...their top 5 have not broken 18:20 at Steeple. Their 5th guy ruined that when he ran a 18:25 at region. MLK is the real deal. I am looking foward to Saturday, because I think that it is going to be a close race.

However, I have a feeling that some of the runners did worse because of the tragedy. But that is in the past, I expect Dyersburg to do well...I'm done talking about it.

In 05' Jackson Christian lost a runner in a car accident. They would have had a run at the championship if that had not happened. Plus, West TN has gained so much talent, over the last year.

I just speak what I think...and I think there is a East/Middle TN bias....that is all

I have a lot of trouble believing that Dyersburg will finish 5th...i can see putting them as low as 3rd. At Region they won with 22 points and had only two people mess them up from having a perfect score, and one of those guys was Mark Cole. I would love to see Dyersburg go in and show everyone from East and Middle TN that West TN is not as bad as they think. NO RESPECT!

Yes, Jackson High won two state championship back in like the 30's. It is like Alabama saying they have 12 National Championships. They just leave out the fact that they won half of those before they even had a championship game.

I think that both JCS and TCA have great offenses and there Defenses....well......i think it will be a high scoring game. It is going to be rocking Friday night...cant wait

How bad will TCA beat JCS Friday night? The question isn't if we will we, it is by how much? TCA - 42 JCS - 3 They can't stop us! I keep hitting the mute button....but he just keeps talking. Isn't great how we can all be good CHRISTIAN friends. I know that all TCA people aren't this annoying...can we hear from some of those people that aren't nearly as annoying. wow getting a little full of ourselves aren't we. TCA did play a great game against us last year, but about two weeks after our victory against you all we had a change of thought about our purpose for last season. I think that if we had played you all in the playoffs we would have won. This year is a lot different from last year, our strengths last year are in some cases are weaknesses this year and vice versa. I think that the reason we didn't beat Gibson County by as much as you all did is because when we get a big lead we tend to slack off a little bit ie. Fayette Academy. I think that we will win. It is a home game and i think it will be close. Prediction: JCS- 41 TCA- 35

David Lipscomb will always do well at state because they have they home field advantage. That is why in College Football the University of Miami would always do well in the orange bowl. They get to sleep in there own beds and they run the course all the time. That is why the state course needs to move around from time to time. There are plenty of other good places to run the state meet at. I am not saying to take the Steeplechase Course out completly. Just have it there every 2 or 3 years. Just an idea!

In Girls Team JCS has a pretty good chance. They placed 5th last year and didnt have any of there top 5 leave as seniors. In Guys Team Lipscomb is always good. Is it to much to ask for a down year? lol I think the guy was joking! Take a chill pill

If this is true then why is it that teams like, Liberty and Gleason can win the basketball tournaments, and Maryville and Alcoa can win the football championships. In Track the A-AA champion Brainerd and Austin-East can win the track Championships. In a lot of counties there is only one school. So they get all of the athletes, unless they are willing to move or travel a long distance to another school. Maryville (public school!!!) won like 5 state championships in football in a row. Just because in baseball this year, it seemed like private schools were the only ones playing, it wasn't. Huntington had the best record of the teams in the tourny. I think at best private schools and public schools are even. I think that in reality Public Schools have the better chance of getting good athletes. They have a bigger pond to draw from.

What I meant is that not all private schools have Christian ties. Like USJ. I have friends that are Christians that go to USJ. I was trying to make a point that all Private Schools are not stuck up rich Christians. That is the point that the other guy was trying to make.
