first off its spelled gray, i supose some kid from the hills "not like the mtv show" no's more about baseball than one of the best baseball coaches in the nation as coach corbin, and by reading your posts you have alot to learn about life, you should praise people that work their butts off to get where they are in life not be jealous or hatein of them, it just makes you look weak when you do!!!

i agree with you i didnt think that it was pass interference neither, when they showed it on replay it doesnt even look like rod ever touches the guy looked like he fell down on his own

rod had a like a 30 yard pass reciption in the first half, wuxp had a nice story on him and aaron douglas of maryville at halftime "talking about the future of ut"

let me just say that larry daniels is my second favorite qb in smyrna history "behind the ######" im sure other qbs had better stat years than #12 but like the word that is associated with vince young he had that "it" factor he could do so many things, and when you needed momentum to change the game or if you needed to pick up that crucial first down he was the guy PLAYMAKER!!!

no i havent forget about #12, he was on the topic starters list just wanted to thow out some other names that wasnt on his list

i read in the tennessean where the principal was a guy by the name of todd miller, now is this the same todd miller that was an assistant coach for smyrna in the mid 90s?

let me just say that i am a smyrna alum and fan, i work in hendersonville along with former high school football players from various high schools from that area i always here about the wh 97 team so i would check out various posts from time to time about wh and i couldnot BELEIVE when i looked at the posts over the summer i saw the following posts from benstller23 WHITE HOUSE WILL DESTROY EVERYBODY, WILL ANYBODY SCORE ON WH OUR DEFENSE IS THAT GOOD, WE HAVE MORE WEAPONS THAN RAMBO, now that was the biggest smack talk that i saw all year, i was waiting for the alcoa game i knew alcoa was not goin to be destroyed espically from a coach rankin team

you are right i knew that i had forgot some "i was half asleep when i was postin last night" tommy alexander was one of my favorites, is oj smith son playin for blackman? i heard someone talkin about it at the blackman game this year, and you are right smyrna lost 25-13 in the regular season to maryville "read the score backwards" and how the cleveland game ended i cant remember exactly how it ended give me 12 more years and im sure ill be thinkin that the game was played in 3ft of snow lol just no that it was a great game and i do remeber the pass to the endzone, from where i was standing i saw larry throw but i couldnt see the ball come down in the endzone, smyrna came sooo close, that 95 team will always be special to me maybe not all the players listed were 3 or 4 year starters but even if they started for one year BELEIVE me they gave their all to smyrna football and to all those guys that put on the purple and gold, all of those guys will always be in my hall of fame,

thought that i would add a couple of oldschoolers, phillip shadowens 84? brian carr 93 tome opincar 96 rico clark 94 tay ransom 95 butch waugh 96 jason bragg 96 tommy miles "whop" 94 carlos hayes 97 torey patterson 96 todd russell 97 their is alot of people on here from the mid 90s,a team that in 95 lost to cleveland in the semi finals 22-26 "when cleveland won a couple of state championships in 4a" came down to the last play of the game" the coach of that team benny monroe who was coaching at ooltewah when they came to smyrna last year in the semi finals, interesting stat from that 95 year smyrna beat maryville twice that year 25-13 and than again in the second round of the playoffs 18-0 which today would be unheard of!!

rod wilks does have over 1000 yards receving he has 74 rec for 1,126 yards and 18 tds, and let me just say that i think that it is totally classless that their are people on here saying that this is a joke
