  3. Were there many scouts there on Saturday???
  4. Tullahoma Basketball needs to hire Coach John Wild he will turn program around. It's not about the parents and politics it's about these girls. Unless you got a top dawg coach in mind with a better track record than Coach Wild you might want to reconsider some decisions that have been made! Time is ticking and camps need to be lined up for these girls to go to. Lets get it together.
  5. Totally agree it shouldnt matter where they sit or why they were there because its no ones business but there own and those they wish to tell. So why make it more than it was. They were attending to watch ball be played and they attended a game that was very intense and exciting thats it.
  6. If you are refering to the Columbia Academy game that she would have gotten alot of play time that is true but I heard she had to miss the game for an academic opportunity that she had already committed to and could not be resheduled. I believe their coach and her had already talked about this and had it squared away but ummm I am pretty sure that is not the only game she could have gotten experience in since we are midway through the season about to head into district. As far as who ran pt friday night it depended on who was on the floor at the time and who could actually got the ball across with limited turnovers. 21 ran pt early in the game not later. How do I know, because when 11 was on the bench in the 1st and 2nd quarter 21 was at the 1. When they were both on the floor together it depended on who actually got a rebound and wanted to bring the ball up the floor. So they swithched up. If both were out and 31 was in she brought it up and Boise did a little too dependin on the people on the floor and if she had a clear lane to get across half court. These 4 are capable of bringing the ball down the floor but it depends on the situation at the time.
  7. Hmmm well congrats to Culleoka team for the win last night. The coach well we will get to that. The game was a really good game. The boys from both teams wanted it but MC just came up short and this is why. For one who ever was suppose to be guarding number 24 from cully was lost because he was shooting the daylights out the ball and knocked down some key shots. Now what killed MC was that 4 from their team had the ball in his hands to much. They should of had the ball in 31 ones hands. He is a more patient ball handler and should probably be running point from now on. 4 is better on the wing where he can spot up and shoot. Granted 4 can drive into the paint and score but at times he forces it as he did last night. Im not sure why the coach did not tell him to calm down or move him from point but it was a key error for them last night. Why? Because everytime 4 forced a shot it resulted into a turnovers which hurt them. And why did he not play any defense? Cully did a pretty good job on defense but they looked out of shape. In fact all of Cullys players looked out of shape (I will leave that open for suggestions of why). Their key player though was number 24! and as for MCs key player it has to be 31. Now i know everyone wants to ride number 10s coat tail til the end and his leadership in the last few minutes of the game were good but if you really watched the game, 31 off of MC shut him down with his defense which was great for MC. And My question is why did MC not post up at the end and get the ball down low? They had plenty of time and where not down by much so why did they choose to shoot 3s with time on the clock? And when it was to late it was just to late. Both of these teams will see each other again but have somethings to perfect before they do. I wish them luck in the coming weeks because no win is garuanteed. Its after Christmas now all teams are stepping their game up because its a new dawn. So good luck players and coaches!
  8. Well well well look at MC. They looked good last night even with players quitting and injured. They still have a few things to work out though well more than a few but they looked pretty decent. 21 I think is the Taylor girl looked really good running point. She got a really good crossover. And where did number 40 come from. I havent seen her play all season. She was open plenty of times but her teammates never looked at the whole floor to see it. When they finally did she scored but they went back to not feeding her the ball. With her playing post and them not having much height on the team they will need her down the stretch. I wander how they utilize her in practice because she looked a little lost on defense. I am pretty sure with a some guidance from her coach in practice she will get better and stronger. I commend her on her efforts on the court while in the game. Time and experience will make her a pretty decent player finishing out the year. As for Cully, wow what a game. I think MC underestimated them just a tadbit huh? They came out starting pretty good but when MC tried to change up their defense into a 1-3-1 Cully took advantage of it. MC at times had the wrong players together the floor just was not balanced. I think Cullys players and coaches saw that as a positive for them and shot the daylights out of the ball behind the arc while MC sat back and let them do it. It was over all a decent game but I hope these coaches and players go back and look at the tape and fix those minor mistakes that were made. Good luck to the two teams in the coming weeks.
  9. Should do ok but we will see. Girls need some encouraging words and thoughts after lastnights loss.
  10. Seems like tonight it was all up to the younger players. Pincheon didnt do much it was her younger players who brought the ball up the floor when she got in trouble. In fact it was Taylor and Garland she looked for most of her help in the backcourt while breaking the press. I dont know where you got your information from but it seems like to me you need to watch these players a little more closely if you want to call out weaknesses. In the Shelbyville playdate it was Taylor who ran the point when Pincheon was out of the game and did a fairly good job at. The girls played well tonight but I would tell it's going to take some time for them to come together and get in sync with each other. Overall pretty good game nothing special. Neither team played up to their abilities kind of bummer game but hey its just a tune up game right! They will get stronger defensively as well as offensively as the season gets rolling. Good luck to both teams!
  11. Yeah Taylor is a very strong defensive player. She is a threat on both sides of the ball very unselfish player. I her also play over the summer under her aau coach Tim Ramsey. As for Garland I seen her in camp games this summer and her being a 8th grader hopefully she will grow mentally in the game and well as in her ability. The pair were unstoppable on defense as well as offense. As for Pincheon i have seen her play plenty of times. It being her senior year I believe she will take this year and polish up her stats before going and playing at I believe at Trevecca. But it seemed to me as if the underclassmen are going to be the set leaders of the team. Now tonight might be interesting. I as well was all over winchester checking out the teams for this year and Grundy County looked pretty good in front of the scouts during the playday. I did not see Moore County anywhere on the schedule which was odd because they were at the playday last year. I also thought they would be there because of all the exposure the girls would have gotten. In any case M. County might struggle a little tonight unless they can come together as a team. With them having a new coach she maybe still tryin to get to know how her players play individually and as a team. So it should be interesting G.C. is a stong team and M.C. is building so we will have to see should be a good hall of fame game.
  12. They brought up a 8th grader? Wow is she that good? I know they got a whole new coaching staff and I just wander how that has a affected the team as a whole as far as playing goes. I guess the Taylor girl and the Garland girl are playin well as underclassmen and earing their spots on the court. Have to see how much the tempo changes when they are on the court together and if they are adding to the team aspect as far as having 3 other people on the floor with them. How does the team look as a whole???
  13. Anyone have an opinion on how moore county did over the weekend?
  14. No pressure on these girls they are good and they know they are and they truly believe they've got the talent to go far. Those are the type of things you want to keep posted in their minds and have them display in practice in games and on and off the court. You have to keep things positive they need it! Lets focus on them improving on the talent they have this summer and encourage them to take into the season. The skies the limit for these girls lets keep it that way!
