  1. You may be right, but the Lady Jackets have improved a lot in controlling the tempo of the game. I'll check you tomorrow.
  2. Thank you, Oh magnificent one! You are right on all 3 counts! Unfortunately, Coach T isn't allowed to shoot for them. Unless Caudle and Williams step up to the plate, like I have seen them do, it might be an awfully bumpy trip.
  3. Unfortunately, when Atnip and Page left last year's state tournament team, they took more than their pretty faces and diplomas with them. It seems they also took the scoring punch from the Lady Jackets offense! Just 6 games into the season, and Greenfield has dropped 2 games to district opponents, and play has been lackluster to say the least. At Lake County, the Falcons came out with a 14-2 run and never looked back. Greenfield closed the gap to 6 and 8 points numerous times only to see the Lady Falcons pull away again. Meagan Cash had 14 points to lead Greenfield in scoring, with no one else scoring in double digits.
  4. I don't believe District 14 is weak, I think it's called parody. Several teams in this district will improve dramatically as the season progresses. Playing in crowded venues with enthusiastic fans is quite a bit different from the scimmages and camps of the summer. As players mature and become more settled I think the quality of play will improve and find some of the best basketball we have witnessed in a while.
  5. Ahhh! You must be psychic. That seems to be exactly what happened against South Fulton. It's hard to understand how a team can play like "world beaters one night and "ned n' the reader" just two nights later, but I could see during warm-up that the girls were not focused, or not concentrating on the task at hand. Hopefully the game with S.F. got their attention.
