hey Pageman why was this game not played on tuesday? just wondering I noticed where page earlier in the year did not play back to back district games like the district voted on.

i thought Lincoln Co. was done with district games also. Lawrence Co has shelbyville this fri and sat.

Hey Loretto steals one in the Tiger Den. A shutout no less. Loretto splits with Marshall Co. without Loretto's best player. Way to go MUSTANGS. this could set up for a very exciting district tournament.

At a high School game the other day a kids hits a long foul ball down the left field line that bounces over the fence. after the kid gets back to the plate a kid in the dugout yells out of the dugout at the umpire " that was a ground-rule double foul ball! Dont he get any credit for that" thought that was pretty funny. another one a bald headed ump at the plate and runner gets throwed out by 10 feet, kid in the dugout yells whats wrong ump did the hair get in your eye's.

Loretto's best picther Westley Gobble got cleated trying to tag a runner trying to steal second last tuesday. He probably wont get to pitch aginest Marshall Co. this week. So today will probably Stlotz for Marshall county and Buttrum a hard thrower fro Lorettto.

Just heard from the field Marshall Co. won 7-2 Lintz winning pitcher, Glass Losing pitcher.

i had a team that played Science Hill when these seniors were 13. Had very good pitching staff. was just wondering how many of these kids were still playing? how many seniors does SH have?

Gobble for Loretto hurt pitching hand last tuesday nite. got cleated on bare hand tore thumbnail. doubt if he will be able to go this week. If he does not pitch Loretto is in trouble.

hey ChuckM verbal appeal is good only in live ball situations. If the ump has already called time then you still have to appeal the old fashion way. and the way the story was wrote the ball never did get to third base so they really didnt complete the first appeal. So yes they could have went back to the rubber and when the UMP put the ball back in play, they could have appealed that the runner left early. threw to third base and had the home plate ump see if he left early. in a 2 man system the home plate ump has all touches at third.

I have not read each persons clarification of this but I do believe the ump missed alittle part of this. when the pitcher threw the ball over to third he did not throw that from the mound. So the guy at second should have scored. they could have went back when the pall was put back into play and appealed to third and if that was the third out the run would have still scored.

thanks pageman. I think Marshall Co's 2 starting pitchers are better than Loretto, Marshall's defense is better than Loretto's, Loretto's Hitting is better than Marshall's. It will depend on who makes the least amount of mistakes. Could be 2 dandys

1) Richie at Goodpasture gets alot out of his kids. 2) Pickle at Columbia does a great Job in probably the hardest district top to bottom in the state. 3) Coach George was a great coach but now he is just a good coach. 4) Hardin Co. Coach does a great Job. But If I were hiring a Baseball Coach for MY kid to play under I would hire Coach Pickle.
