  1. Webb 42-21 final CCS had their chances as Webb turned the ball over 3-4 times, but CCS couldn't convert on 4th down. I think they were 0-4 Mondo probably rushed for about 200 (guessing) but they gave him the ball just about every play.
  2. I think that in order for Baylor to win, they must sell out to stop the McCallie running game. The McCallie sophomore QB is much better at running the ball than passing. If Baylor could force McCallie into a lot of passing situations, I could see the talented Baylor DB's making some plays. With McCallie's tailback hurt and being replaced by a freshman, a sophomore QB & at least 3 (maybe 4) sophomores on the O-line, Baylor may have a much better chance to win this game than I originally thought.
  3. Absolutely! And if THAT dream came true, Webb & CCS would get the 1/2 seeds. I can't believe we've made it this far without Booger trampling on this thread. Que the snot ball!
  4. If you had the CCS schedule, Webb would be exactly 5-2 as well (Baylor & McCallie losses), but the wins would have been much more decisive. I was hoping Boyd would play Webb much closer and was very discouraged when they didn't (knowing CCS had Webb the next week). If 1 call goes differently, Boyd probably beats CCS ... but it didn't. So I guess it is the Boyd game comparison. But, I'm still hopeful that CCS can rise to the occasion and have the game of their year! No fumbles! Keep the drive going!
  5. ... assuming you ever have to punt. I'm hoping CCS takes a lot of chances ... on-side kick every time, assuming they can establish some kind of running game - going for 4th down and 3 (or less) every time, every trick play they've got, LOTS of pressure on the QB so we can get to him before the deep ball can be thrown, if CCS has to punt - kick it out of bounds, gang tackle (strip the ball), etc... In reality, CCS is a big underdog, so you've got to make things happen.
  6. No score predictions. How many turnovers has Webb been committing per game? I think CCS could probably use about 4 or 5.
  7. Oh please forgive me for not mentioning the great Notre Dame in one of my posts ... get real! We can all tell how classy ND is by reading your posts. I know everybody thinks you "nose" everything, but this time, you're wrong bub. Play #92 in the film starts the 2nd half and Webb had 2nd's in at every position (I'm not counting special teams). And I couldn't care less about Sonny's "Pole".
  8. Webb dropped from 91 to 104. Sonny Moore doesn't know that Webb was beating Boyd 40-0 at the half and only played the 2nd string in the 2nd half, thus winning the game 40-13. You don't get rewarded in this poll for having class.
  9. I'm going to put this opinion on this thread because it affects Boyd, CAK & Silverdale this year. The other 4 East teams have locked up playoff spots. This year, 5 of 7 EAST teams make the playoffs, while 6 of 7 WEST teams make the playoffs and 5 of 5 MIDDLE teams make the playoffs. Next year 6 of 7 EAST; 5 of 7 WEST; 5 of 5 MIDDLE. The year after that, it reverts back to this years model. Why does MIDDLE get 5 of 5 teams every year? In addition, MIDDLE is the only section where 2 teams from the same section can meet in the finals. In other words, an EAST team will never play an EAST team in the finals ... same for WEST. It's probably a non-issue since most of the 1 vs. 5 (or 6) games are going to be blowouts, but once the decision is made to put 16 teams in the playoffs, it should be done fairly. In future years, today's blowout games may not be blowouts.
  10. CCS has to be PERFECT on offense - no turnovers - long drives (keeping Webb offense off the field) - and score just about every possession. I know, sounds crazy, but they have to have some kind of game plan and I really don't know how they're going to stop that speed from Webb. I was really impressed with Webb against Boyd. That's the 1st time I had seen them. I think #15 may have been injured in that game, but I have no idea if it was serious or not. They obviously didn't need him very much that night.
  11. Freaking hate? Really? A little strong coming from a person associated with a Christian school, don't you think? Dude you need to sign off. You're giving Boyd a real bad name.
  12. And Walker Valley, Rhea County, Silverdale, Chattanooga Grace, ...
  13. I made reference to the 2015 game. McCallie chose to use Robert Riddle (as a Junior) at QB over JaVaughn Craig (a senior) until late in the game. They finally put Craig in at QB and he moves them right down the field for a TD ... but it was too late by then. Riddle was a good QB, but he couldn't move the offense that night. Fast forward a year and JaVaughn Craig starts as a true freshman at QB for Austin Peay. How are you good enough to start as a true freshman at a D1 college, but NOT good enough as a high school senior? I've never understood that move. However, I agree that the game this year could go either way, but I certainly see McCallie as the favorite. The McCallie QB is a difference maker. I heard that the McCallie running back was hurt - not sure if he played against BA or not. That certainly would have a big impact too.
  14. Baylor favored? Got a good laugh out of that one. Mccallie mercy ruled them last year. IMO, the only way McCallie loses is if they get out coached ... like what happened 2 years ago on Baylor's field.
  15. I have to disagree - they have more than that. #1 & #11 were very quick as well and they have several big linemen. 13&15 could have stayed in Knoxville and the score would have been the same. And I'm not trying to be mean spirited towards Boyd when I say that ... it's simply the truth. I was surprised that their roster was so small - probably less than 40 kids.
  16. Very classy movery by Webb to only play 2s the entire 2nd half. Speed kills

    GCA VS CAK

That's 100% true ... the 2 teams we've lost to are the best 2 teams in Chattanooga and the teams we've beaten are on the lower end. CAK was our best win, but they turned the ball over at least 4 times and had a kid drop a TD pass in the end zone on 4th down. I still think we would have won that game, but it would have been a lot closer.

    GCA VS CAK

Another slam against Chattanooga Christian ... shocker.
  19. I don't think you know much about CCS. Have you seen them play this year? I think your opinion is based on something that happened during last year's game with ND. Granted, CCS has only seen Silverdale, Boyd & CAK, but from those teams, CCS has 2 running backs better than anybody we've seen. The next 3 games for CCS will be an uphill battle.
  20. Not sure of his number, be he is a sophomore and thankfully has 2 years left
  21. I like this list. It's a LOT more accurate than the one the local paper puts out. I think Soddy has surprised a lot of people this year. I believe Whitwell lost a couple of players last week - not sure the impact - but they've been dominate. I do think Ooltewah is a little better than 12. Very Good list though.
  22. To make matters worse, Silverdale lost one of their best players last weekend (starting safety). He's out for the season.
  23. Uniforms always look better when you're celebrating in the end zone ... and Mccallie's uni's looked really good that night.
  24. Baylor may be a little down, but they're better than anybody else in Chattanooga, including the current ND. About the JV teams, I said most, you named the 3 best behind Mccallie and Baylor, so I agree with you on the 3 named teams. Mccallie played ND in the jamboree and made them look like they were playing in slow motion. I think it was 14-0 with a 20 minute running clock. I repeat. The AP poll is a joke if it has ND over Mccallie or Baylor.
