  1. Oh NE by far. NE is the most talented team in the district. They don't always play real smart and they will turn it over more times than they should, and sometimes take bad shots, but they are talented! NW passes the looks test. They look great in warm-ups, but outside of about two players, they aren't really skilled enough to beat too many people. They will win some games and they will play some people close--but they aren't a good enough team to beat anyone consistently. I wanted to pick Dickson over Rossview. I really did. But until Dickson starts winning I don't know how good they are really gonna be. However, I'm not sold on Rossview being as good as advertised either--so who knows?!
  2. Siegel is actually better with Cutter being less involved I think. Not to take anything away from Cutter who is a great high school basketball player, but I think the more weapons they develop (Hammonds, Tate, Gooch) the better they will be. I think they are just working through some growing pains right now. They will work out a good balance as the season progresses.
  3. Clarksville over NE Rossview over Dickson NW over Springfield HC over Kenwood I think fastcat would agree.
  4. Looks to me like they must be pretty good. They beat Mt. Juliet who is picked to be in the top 3 in 9-AAA and they just knocked off Clarksville...next is Frankln..who is picked in the top 3 in their district. I guess we will know more as they season progresses but they are playing well it looks like.
  5. Kenwood is actually pretty good this year. They will beat some people, Brentwood isn't great, but they aren't terrible. The Patriots need to be ready to play the Knights for sure. But if they do...I think they will win. But Kenwood is not bad at all--especially at what they do.
  6. Who played well for Lebanon? How did they make such a huge come back on WC? What happened?
  7. Let's hope it's not a repeat of what happened in football. HC is the better team.
  8. Clarksville is not as good as they were last year. Stupid Post.
  9. I heard Primm has bulked up some since last season as well...I am sure he is the real deal. #11 for Henry Co. last year a lot of times was the glue...he did from time to time lose his cool, but he always guarded the other team's best player and he was the most reliable ball handler for HC down the stretch in close games...I think he also led the team in drawn charges and rebounds for a guard...yes you're right he did lose his cool sometimes...but I for one know that the HC is glad he is one of 4 solid seniors coming back with some experience this year for the Patriots. Last year Bell (HC) was the only player with any previous Varsity experience for the Patriots, they will benefit greatly from all of their players coming back with some taste of varsity ball. That whole district is crazy though...I think Clarksville is #1 until proven otherwise..but after that I think the 2-7 spots are all interchangable...
  10. I think Vegas has CPA catching 5.5 since the game is being played at Harpeth...a very loud and supportive crowd! The over-under is 128. I'll take CPA catching 5.5 and I'll take the over.
  11. I think we should be giving some credit to the Dr. Dish!! Dr. Dish - Henry Co. has TWO of them! Every guard at Henry Co. has lived on them this summer. Oh and fastcat...I enjoyed your post up until the point---well actually---I never enjoyed your post...they are always retarded.
  12. LaVergne has more kids injured than healthy I think. Blackman worked really hard and was successful trapping LaVergne's guards from what I heard.
  13. According to TSSAA regulations--the home team must be in White, the away team can where a gold as their visitors jersey if they wish. So if Riverdale wanted to keep a gold set around and break them out on Saturday night games (much like the L.A. Lakers - "Sunday Whites") they would be welcome to do so.
  14. If you would like to double check please feel free to give either school a call. Antioch 615-641-5400 ask for Mr. Curtis. LaVergne 615-904-3870 ask for Gary Miller. And once you find out for sure could you call... the DNJ and the Tennessean, and TSSAA and let them know. Thank you.
  15. They may beat some people in AA, but they don't seem to be very talented or that disciplined as far as what they do on the court--be that coaching or just the players not doing what the coach wants--I've seen them more than once and they are not very good. I wasn't disputing the fact that they were overmatched against Rossview--from what I hear--everyone is overmatched by Rossview. Thanks for your opinion though.
  16. Portland is terrible..I mean really really bad.
  17. I heard Gallatin won easily... How did they look? What does Northwest have?
  18. Maybe in the future you should just leave your comments to postitive ones or ones that are based on any kind of reality or truth--and you kept saying--well I heard or someone said---how about you just go with what you know and not comment about things you don't. I think that will take care of all of this in the future bra! It's just a simple rule I live by that I learned a long time ago watching the movie Bambi as a child---"If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." It's one thing to bash coaches--it's inappropriate but it's still different--than bashing or badmouthing a kid---let's not forget that these are 14,15,16,17 and 18 year old kids--they are not college atheletes or even professionals---so if you can't be positive when talking about a specific kid--then don't speak.
  19. Antioch does not have LaVergne on the schedule...check your references.
  20. oh and benchwarmer...lucky to finish in the top 4?? hmm interesting perspective.
  21. LaVergne will be athletic, and will be very tough mentally led by mostly seniors...but they have a lot to do if they wanna compete with the likes of Gallatin. I do think Moore does a really good job with those boys though... You'll know everything there is to know about where LaVergne is at in that district after their first two district games---they go to Wilson Central on Dec 4 and Gallatin comes to town on the 7th. Also they are playing a loaded Northeast team at home Nov. 20th.
  22. Jimmy you're an idiot who doesn't know the first thing about basketball or about TN athletics. I heard about that game at HC vs Rossview and I think you might just been overmatched. Didn't HC lost to Rossview the week before at Rossview???--what was your complaints about that game? Stop complaining and start living--you're missing a great life by living in the past!
  23. Where's it being played at? Who all is playing each other?
