The Tharpe kid is who I think you are referring to...he was having some off the court issues and had to quit the team. He is really a great kid from what I have heard, and he sure did hustle, so it's a shame he is no longer with the team. I am really worried about this NE game coming up. I think they are really much better than they have played this year. They are so stinking huge! But we did end up pulling away from them is Paris so maybe if we can get them on the ropes they will give it over to us again. Jimmy...what was the bet?

Springfield CAN win... It is always hard to beat a team twice in a season. If Springfield will come and play from the beginning then they will have a chance. I will be cheering for Springfield as Chaos said to make it a more interesting district. I personally feel like someone will be Clarksville at some point...either tonight, next Tues. when Clarksville travels to Henry Co. or maybe in the district. At some point one team will put together 4 quarters and maybe get a little lucky. I wish I was gonna be at this one...

Shonte Sims and Marcus Ethridge --- Henry Co. both are playing minutes on the varsity level and Ethridge has had more than one game where he has led the Patriots in scoring... Trust me you will hear their names again in the future...

Henry Co. beat Dickson Co. on a last second lay-up at the buzzer earlier in the year @ Dickson. Since then Dickson has complied a record of 3-5 in the district (being on the losing end of several close losses) and Henry Co. currently boasts a 6-2 record good enough for 3rd in the district. Perhaps both of these teams could look back on their earlier meeting as a pivitol point in their early seasons... What can we expect this time around when Dickson travels to Paris tomorrow night? Primm continues to put his team on his back for Dickson and carry most of the load, while Henry Co. is coming off of a 3-0 ROAD trip last week, two of those games being district wins. I think based on their records Henry Co. is favored, but I know Dickson will be ready to play and this should be a very good game.

Tonights matchup between Clarksville Northwest and Henry Co could end up having big impacts on each of the team's seasons from here on out. NW has the ability to compete with anyone and Henry Co is looking to finish in the top 2-4 teams in district and needs to win this game... Any predictions?

Someone from this district WILL beat Clarksville at some point this year.... I promise you. They are the best team...but the best team doesn't always win, and someone will beat them at some point.

Here is what I could see happening... First of all Clarksville is GOOD. In case anyone didn't know that... I dont think they are unbeatable on a given night as few teams are but they are really really good. I thought what happened last night could very easily happen and if it did then HC was going to be in trouble. HC just came out scared to death. There weren't too many players out there that really wanted to be in a game with a team that good. HC was stale on offense--no one wanting to attack---and they were sluggish on defense letting anyone that wanted to drive just go right to the basket. But what I saw happen the most was HC youth and inexperience really play a part... I am not saying that HC had much of a chance last night, or should have won the game cause they are clearly the weaker team--clearly. But it seemed like everytime they would force Clarksville into a bad decision or a turnover or bad shot then HC would turn right around and give them the ball right back and CHS would shoot a layup or something. I blame that solely on HC's youth and lack of experience. At one point for HC in the 3rd quarter there was no one older than a sophomore on the floor. They have a lot of growing up to do and maybe they can't do it this year...I still have faith in Coach Wilkins to be able to get them at a level where they can compete with CHS but maybe we are still a year away...who knows. It wasn't the prettiest of games, but the better team won tonight. However, I have a feeling these two teams may be headed towards quite a few battles over the next few years.

I have yet to see Springfield play yet this year, but I have seen Dickson twice. From what I can see from looking at their schedules and results is two things: 1) Neither of them have really lived up to their potential. Both teams are talented and have the possibility of competing with anyone in the District on a given night. (i.e. Springfield's win over Northeast, and Dickson's 2 point heartbreaker to Henry Co.) 2) Both teams are possibly slightly overrated...there comes a point when teams have to realize well maybe we just arent that good. Since neither of these teams are playing at a very high level at the moment---THIS MAY BE ONE OF THOSE GAMES THAT TURNS IT AROUND FOR ONE OF THEM. In other words---THIS IS A HUGE GAME FOR BOTH TEAMS! I think both teams have to turn it on and turn it on NOW! (Dickson's next two games are NE and Clarksville High and Springfield has tough battles with Kenwood and HC ahead of them). This would be a big win for either team.... I think it will be Springfield 45-Dickson 39.

Yeah I think there will be a lot of adrenaline pumping and a lot of desire from the get go from the Pats. I think if they can hit a couple shots early and get some confidence then they will be in the game the entire night. This is a young team but they are getting older ever practice and every game. I think both teams are capable of scoring a lot of points...but HC scores when they are forcing TO's from their opponents so if HC scores a lot it will be a lopsided affair...which might not be out of the realm of possibility but probably a 10% chance at the moment. It will all depend on how well Clarksville handles the HC pressure and how well HC handles the pressure of a big game on the road when no one expects them to win. I sure hope coaching plays in to be a factor--cause if it does I give the edge to HC. Go Pats! Hey 600 where you at now?

I think Henry County will come to play. They struggled in Murray over the break, but I think they just lost their focus for a bit---for whatever reason. But I think being back in school and back in the normal routine will help this young group be ready to play tonight. Make no mistake they will have to play all game long to have a chance against the bigger stronger and more experienced Clarksville. However I think if Henry Co can come to play then they will have a chance down the stretch. My prediction (hope) is that it will be 68-62 Henry Co.
