  1. "HC will not play with DC" oops you missed that one - you better stick to evaluating the lady's game GC (just kidding). Great game - HC lead most of the game 6-8 points, but DC made a run the last couple of minutes and hit some big shots. #50 for DC was a man child inside. Great game and great atmosphere. Many athletes on the floor tonight. Both teams will benefit from this game down the road.
  2. If Manassas had spent more time this week working on clock management and less time at the barber shop, the outcome may have been different.

  4. just curious, how many athletes play both basketball and football for Maryville - besides Douglas?
  5. so who won between Gallatin and Maryville? Beech beat HC by 2 in the lower bracket.
  6. Anyone have scores from Thursday's games?
  7. 2 or 3 10th graders are playing - mostly jv - they may get some varsity time later in the year, who knows. When this team plays with confidence and intensity - then will be hard to beat, when they don't,,, well they don't. I was impressed with Clarksville last week, while not nearly as dominating as last years team, they have many weapons to go along with Caldwell. That being said, I still think HC competes with Clarksville when both teams play their "A" game. I have not seen NE play this year, but hear they are for real.
  8. Seven or eight guys have started at some time during the year and the lineup has been changed around, but none of these 8 played football. So to answer the question, Yes the lineup has changed, but it has nothing to do with football being over - it has more to do with 8 guys battling for playing time.
  9. Congrats to Clarksville, they played a very good game. They shot very well, made few mistakes, and played good (but not great) defense. They have many weapons besides Caldwell. HC played good but not great - they were not near as intense as previous games. Offensive appeared to be waiting for something to happen. Clarksville also dominated on the boards (according to the post game stats) - part of this came be attributed to Clarksville shooting so well which leads to fewer Defensive rebound opportunities for HC. Does someone know what the FG% were for both teams? Clarksville played very well - HC can and will play much better. Looking forward to the rematch. Go Big Red
  10. i agree with tnwatcher - all home teams win tonight. i also agree with the scores, except the clarksville/DC game could be closer,, say 5-7 points.
  11. The annual Hoopfest at Marshall Co Ky is this weekend. I know Oak Hill and 3 teams from Chicago along with Memphis White Station and Briarcrest are among the teams playing. I have been a couple of times and it is very entertaining - many college coaches have been there in the past. I have heard Pitino, Williams, Pearl will be there Saturday night. Also Micheal Jordon's son plays on one of the Chicago teams. It is pricey, but some good HS Hoops. Here is a link to the website. http://www.marshall.k12.ky.us/mchs/sports/hoopfest.htm It's about 2 hrs from Nashville
  12. I say the home teams win on Friday.
  13. HC over Kenwood 69 - 53, but it wasn't that close. Seems the "cupcake schedule" is paying off so far.
