1st of all this is just a rhetorical question. I don't know of any players who are considering transfering. Just trying to settle a disagreement. Player X has played a full year on the freshman team. Would he/she be eligible to transfer and immediately play at another school in the same county..?? There will not be an address change. Another factor is; Since the freshman season is over, would dressing out/playing the remaining JV games be a factor...?? Thanks in advance for responses. I thought somebody here might have had an experience with this type of situation.

I think it's a strong possibility 2A could sent two teams to state this year. However, The runner-up team in the 2A tournament will still have to play an away game against the 1A winner. The away sub-state is a TOUGH game to win. The 2A finals is going to be a huge game. Also the District 4A teams may have a little bit of "home court" advantage with the tournament at Onieda. The Eagle Fans travel well though and The Eagles have played in tough enviroments all season.

Way go guys. Can't wait to see the stats for this one. If I heard the radio guy right we had 4 players in double digits and 4 with 9 pts. Two players had 5 threes each, so The Eagles probably had 12-15 total. Great defense also...

If you get more detailed stats please post them. Blakely had to be close to a triple double. He had 3 blocks in a row and 4 or 5 more that I can remember.

I think way the stats are sent is that it's up to the bookkeeper to call them in after each game. Cosby had the same bookkeeper for 5 or 6 years and he was very accurate and prompt to call the stats in right after the games. However, he isn't the official scorekeeper(home) bookkeeper (away) this year. I bet if he reads this he could answer this better. I'm not even sure who does the books this year and if the stats are still sent to Prep Extra.

The Grace team that Cosby plays is Grace Knoxville/Oak Ridge not the team from the Chattanooga area. This is their 1st year in District 3A and as a TSSAA school. They could be a really good team in the future but they're still building a program

Great responses jmpshtr101 & GREENEDEVILMOM. I don't know what this guy's problem is with Cosby but he puts The Eagles down every chance he gets. I had plan to respond to his nonsense but you two said it all. Caleb, I guess we'll never know how the Cosby vs cocke co. game would turn out since cocke co. won't play us. So how is the season going for the big red this year? I haven't been following them too closely

Blakely has probably passed up at least a dozen chances to throw one down this year that I have seen. I would rather see a made layup than a missed dunk. Not that you would have missed any of them Timmy The kid from rockwood cost his team a lot of points trying to dunk and missing. I'm not worried about The Eagles bench this year. The Coggins coaches will have them all ready come tournament time.

If you hear the times on any or all these games please post them PF outscored The Eagles 52-27 in the 2nd half. It seemed like they didn't miss a shot while The Eagles couldn't get anything to fall. Tough to lose a game like that. To the Cosby Player who was at the gym this morning practicing by himself: Keep working hard. It's very impressive you would come in after a loss like that to shoot. You gained a lot of respect from me.

Interesting post. Here is a post from a student (I assume) I honestly could care less if we lost, and as far as I can remember (and I have a great memory), we NEVER said we would indeed win. Losing doesn't bother me as long as I have fun in doing so, and thanks for the easy target Cosby provided us with -- the fat guy (that "led" the pathetic chants) that has to flip off teenagers to obviously boost his rock-bottom self-esteem. "WHO'S YOUR DADDY" ????? I thank you for the laughs, but next time chant something that fits the situation. It gives me a great sense of accomplishment to know that we indeed got under your skin last night. This post makes me think that the students aren't at the games to support the team. Only to "get under the other fans skins" and "have fun" This combined with a few of the chants I was able to understand: "Cosby Rednecks", "What's that smell..?" (after the cheerleaders left the court) make me think that keeping a close eye and ear on these kids is a good idea. I especially thought it was interesting that a "gang" of students were gathered in the parking lot after the game. I overheard some of the comments passing between them and it was obvious they were looking to start trouble. I'm glad the administration was quick to break them up and send them home. I guess my point is, there's a fine line between school spirit and just looking for trouble. I'm guessing the adminstration knows these kids very well and their intentions. Trying to match Cosby's fan base is setting your expectations a little high. The Eagle Nation is the best group of fans in East TN. Good luck the rest of the season. Hope you can make it to Cosby in Feb. It's a great high school basketball atmosphere.

To the morristown east student section: This is your official invitation to come on up to Cosby on Feb. 14th and talk as much trash as you did tonight. Maybe by then you will have won more than one game. (you do play Cocke Co. twice)

These kids want to play for a winning team with great tradition. If they attend a few Cosby games while they're in grammar school, it's not a hard decision in my opinion. The atmosphere and fan support is incredible. I know of at least one freshman who's playing ball from Newport Grammar

Kelvin had 32 points last night including 5 3s. Most of these points came with Blakley, Jenkins and Manning on the bench. Kelvin was one of only two starters out there for a while and carried the team. He played great defense and impressed me with his ball handling and hustle (he's faster than you realize). Great game last night.

I agree with the posters who named Roan & Manning but you gotta mention Todd Jenkins if you're talking about Cosby's pure shooters. He dropped 34 (I think) in a quarter last year against M-Town And there are a few others who can come of the bench and get hot too.

My point exactly..Not only would the Cosby Coaching Staff not allow that kind of cocky, showboating but the fellow players, fans, parents and students would all tell a Cosby Eagle to shut up and play ball.
