I'm not sure what the deal is with that post Loco. It really means a lot to all of the Cosby fans and players that we are getting so much support from all of East TN. Even teams like you (Rockwood) and Hancock that we had some intense games with are wishing us good luck. I think even ShaniaGuy said a few good things about Rockwood thanks again for the support Go Eagles...!!!

It's actually pretty likely Mark and Jake will go to school together. They're pretty tight. Some great pictures of Mark and the rest of The Eagles in the Cosby / hancock gallery. Go Eagles...!!!

My wife has Mark in two classes this semester and he is doing "very well". We can't discuss his grades or GPA, well because "she can't". But Mark is a very bright, level headed, mature young man and is very capable of handling college level courses. I also have no information on what colleges are talking to Mark. I don't want to speak for him but I think Mark is concentrating on finishing his career at Cosby (how happy is Coach Brad Flatford that he had Mark his 1st two years at Cosby). Mark has a tournament to play next week, then he might want to talk about his future. His grades are really none of anybody's business but I had to post to come to his defense. Just wanted to add, I will forever hate Harriman and their fans because of their chants directed toward Mark when he had the ball. That was the biggest display of no class and poor sportsmanship I've seen in almost 20 yrs as a high school basketball fan. (OK, vent over I feel better) Go Eagles...!!! Yep, the Camo Cosby Faithful were a big factor at Midway Colliseum (aka Eagle's Nest West). Our boys play well when their emotions are running high and a loud crowd always get's them fired up. I saw you a few times during the tourny Goz and meant to introduce myself.(J pointed you out) Regarding Joe Dirt, I didn't know he was a Cosby Fan but if he can get loud he's welcome to join us next week at the 'Boro. Harriman can resort to name calling but I guess they can be bitter because they're sitting at the house. Go Eagles...!!!

I just need to say GO COSBY EAGLES...!!! And I think it's awesome that so many Cosby fans and players are posting here at CoachT.

Yeh, we've talked about Lacy before I think. He and his girlfriend sat right in front of me Monday night at the sub-state game.(I think he's still growing) I'll try to look for you if we're down at the 'boro Friday. Go Eagles...!!!

Ron, We're moving The Eagle's Nest west next week. We would love to have you join us in supporting The Eagles. Too bad, you won't be getting to watch M-ville play for a chance at a State Championship sweep. Lee & Co. were so close. Any hint as to who your Dad is/relatives are...??? Go Eagles...!!!

I just got word that attendance was around 1,100 last night. Cosby was prepared with TVs in the cafeteria but I don't think anybody was turned away from the gym. I know there were even a few empty seats in the reserved hancock section. Extra bleachers were brought in from the football field to handle overflow. I know a lot of people worked hard last night to make everything go as smoothly as it did. Great Job Dr. Williams and staff. Go Eagles...!!!

What kind of chance does everyone give The Cosby Eagles next week vs uh..?? I am not familiar with their team at all, only the W/L record. Who are some of their best players..??? If you look at our common opponents (Unaka, Rockwood, Cloudland, Hancock) The Eagles have beaten all of these teams that uh had close games with or lost to. Just wanted to get a thread started as I'm sure there will be a lot of talk about this one over the next week. I'm glad somebody put Timmy's name up in this thread. He has played against some of the best post players in East Tennesee this year. People don't believe he's a freshman after watching him play. Timmy plays really smart, rebounds well and does a great job on defense. I gotta give a lot of credit to Coach Flatford, Jake Webb and Josh Ford. I'm sure they're a lot of the reason Blakely is playing so well. If he keep improving and growing, look out. I also heard a rumour that one of the counties best 8th grade post players will be playing at Cosby next year. Go Eagles...!!!

shaniaguy is the official scorekeeper for The Eagles. He does a great job supporting his team and is a fine young man. It amazes me how he comes on here and talks trash. I never would have guessed it was him but the "shania" gave it away for all of us. It's all in good fun though ( I think) Go Eagles...!!!

I think he may be asking how many people have voted on a particular game. I know I've wondered that before. If 84% are picking Cosby over hancock, what's the # of votes..?? Go Eagles...!!!

I was at the Cosby/hancock game 2 years ago. I got there EARLY.(I had never been to Sneedville) I got a great seat. I do remember that at the gate they asked if I was from hancock or Cosby and had seperate tickets. I'm not sure if we had an "allotment" of tickets or what. I'm also not sure what we plan to do at Cosby. I'm sure there is a limited # of tickets that can be sold because of the fire marshall restrictions. AM 1270 hancock fans but you will have to go back into Newport. Maybe you can get a section of the Wal-Mart parking lot. I do think that both Hancock a few years ago and Midway the past few weeks did the best they could with what space they had to work with. And even though we've got a lot of seats at Cosby, I'm sure it won't be enough. I know I've got a seat reserved good luck to everybody else. Go Eagles...!!!

So is anybody going to the game tom...?? I just think it's pretty cool this thread has 37 responses. After the last Cosby sub-state game, it was just myself, chill, campelle2 and a few others from East Tn discussing single A. Go Eagles...!!!

nice post C-man. I agree :confused: This is gonna be one heck of a re-match. The key, in my opinion is not stopping Rocky (he's gonna get 20+ and 10+ rebounds) but stopping the rest of the indians. And can hancock contain the explosive Eagle offense and handle what is sure to be the rowdiest crowd this team has EVER played in front of...??? Go Eagles...!!!

Wow, everybody who came to Midway Colliseum ("Eagle's Nest West")tonight sure got their $5 worth. What a hard fought game between two great teams. I'm glad that the refs let the players go at it (but not the fans ) Both teams played their hearts out and it was too bad somebody had to lose this one. I've got a lot of respect for Rockwood. They are a talented team that was about 5 seconds away from beating us twice. I hope both teams win on Monday. I know hancock better be worried about another trip to The Eagle's Nest Go Eagles...!!!

The Cosby Faithful will make the trip to the Midway gym once again tom. night. Tough loss tonight by The Lady Eagles but they played hard and with a lot of heart. I'm proud of what they did this season. We had a good crowd tonight and I expect a lot more for the showdown with Harriman. And guys, Mrs. Cosby Eagle will be leading cheers on the pep bus all the way to Midway tom. afternoon and I'm sure she'll have them fired up by 6:30pm. My little blond will even be there at the basketball mecca that is Midway High. Go Eagles...!!!

Cosby has a combined record of 49-7 this year. The last rankings I heard were #4 Boys and #11 girls. The Lady Eagles won tonight to advance to the region semis and The Cosby Eagles hope to do the same tom. night. Go Eagles...!!! and Lady Eagles...!!!

Yeh, I've had to work every morning after the boys and girls game this past week. Us old men don't do very well on 4 or 5 hrs. sleep. But that's OK, I can sleep in a few weeks it's tourny time. The Cosby Eagle defense sure won't let anybody get away with lazy passes. I can't believe you guys ended up finishing 3rd in the region though. It will be some important games Thursday for the four teams left. The winners Thursday are in the sweet 16 and get to play a least two more games. Go Eagles...!!!
