  1. Congrats to both CH and CR...both very talented and well coached teams. Was a great game for the most part. Would have been better if outcome had been different but still a good game to watch. Some very talented young ladies on the floor for both teams...good luck to CR the rest of the way....Honor to meet you Kim.. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  2. Cornersville just could not get any shots to fall. Missed alot of easy baskets and give up too many second chance points. Was expecting the jitters at first since this is all new to them and it was a good game the first half but came out flat after halftime and got too far behind. Anyway, I do want to commend the girls on a great season and congrats to Hampton on a game well played.
  3. I wasn't making a quote. And if I was I wouldn't be taking a quote from Spurrier. John Wooden or Bobby Knight maybe but not Spurrier....
  4. Thanks Auntkim and good luck to you and your Rockets tomorrow. I think I'm gonna go around and see if I can collect enough money so Leadfarmer and Bulldog50 can go out for supper...it seems they have so much to talk about....
  5. I can assure you that neither team is underestimating each other. I can also assure you that the Cornersville players and coaches are excited to have this opportunity and I expect a great game. Please don't let a few over zealous fans ruin this experience for the players that have worked so hard to get to this point. Good Luck to all and congrats to all that have made it this far...
  6. I highly doubt them beating Marshall by 20+ in this game. MC might not play the level of competition Bolivar does, however they have been playing some quality teams in the regional tourney. I will say that if their outside game is on and they don't give up too many second chance points in paint to Bolivar that this will be a very interesting game. Some may be surprised if MC wins and consider it a huge upset but I consider this game to be one that could go either way. Depends on who wants it the most....good luck to all, may the players stay injury free and I hope this game is exciting to all that participate and watch...
  7. Congrats CH on your win tonight. But come on now AuntKim....wishing McEwen good luck against us? I'm just picking with you. But good luck against Wayne Co. Saturday night. They are a tough and scrappy bunch and very well coached. Should be a good game. Hope we both make it through...
  8. They rotate each year between the 2 districts. Have been for as long as I can remember. Last year District 12 hosted regionals at Mt. Pleasant. Year before I think Culleoka hosted. Next year District 12 will host again. And it wasn't the court that beat you tonight. You couldn't stop the King girl from Cornersville. 27 points in the paint tonight and the game winner with under 5 seconds to go....Everyone should have known where they was going with the ball. Anyway, Congrats to Cornersville and also congrats to Collinwood. It was a great game and they are both very good programs and represent their schools well... Good luck to all..
  9. Yeah let's all go for the shot clock. We can raise the gate price up from about 5 dollars a game to around 8 dollars a game to pay for this. That would only be about 62 dollars a week for a family of four with a child playing. Not to mention if he has one playing Middle school also. All we need is an extra official and the clocks mounted with lights and horn. And don't forget. TV monitors so if we have a disputed call we can all huddle around the monitor to see if he got the shot off in time. While we're at it, why don't we use the monitor to see if Johnny's foot was on the line on that last 3 attempt. Seriously, where is all this money coming from.
  10. We shall see come Monday night. I will be pulling for 11A in this one. Moore Co. and Cornersville, however they all four are excellent teams and all seem to be playing their best ball at the correct time. I believe it will come down to turnovers and freethrows. If you can keep TO's down and hit your FT's you can always be in a good position to win. Hopefully our girls on the south end of the county can get a win Monday night. Good Luck to ya'll in the north end Monday night also...
  11. Where are you going to see any better action than this come Monday night?
  12. I'll take Aunt Kim's girls to win it...MTCS should be runner up, but anything is possible. Everyone should be prepared and not overlook anybody or they will be at softball practice earlier than they want...
  13. Yes Cully is that much better than everyone else in 11A. Wayne could pose problems for Richland but it's the time of the year when nothing is suprising...I doubt if anyone is overlooking their opponent even Cully...
  14. Problem is what if the two best teams in state are from same district? For example a few years ago ( Collinwood and Wayne Co. ) girls. Both teams were from same district and played for the State Championship. Under the Missouri format one of the top two teams would have been home watching..
  15. I know some Richland folks are not going to like my suggestion: But I would go try to get Matt Miller from CULLY. I told him the entire time he was coaching the boys at Richland that he should be coaching girls simply because Coach Miller is a teacher and coaching girls involves a whole lot of teaching. Miller is a good coach but should not go back to Richland....Teaching basketball goes for boys as well as girls...I seriously doubt he would return after the way he was treated there before.
  16. Congrats to Marshall Co. You just simply outplayed Milan. Calls went bad both ways but did not determine the outcome of the game. The team that wanted more got it...
  17. Sometimes those that look too far ahead trip over their own feet...Don't think it will happen but you never know..
  18. Reasonover is leaving Chapel Hill. It was in the local paper. Only said personal reasons..Anyway, good luck to him.
  19. Cully played very well. Cornersville just played their best game of the season against them Friday night. It's gonna be a great game and I'm giving the edge to Cully just because of play at home, even though they lost to Moore Co. earlier this year there.. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  20. Any picks on Tuesday nights games? I know that Cully and Moore Co. split during regular season and Summertown won both against Collinwood. I'll go with Cully by 4 and Summertown by 10. Culleoka is playing very well in the last few games I've seen. Summertown is also consistantly strong. Regionals should be some barnburners..The consolation games should also be very good.
  21. Cully is a very good team. They have improved as the season went. Marshall County is a very good team also. They need to step up as touney time comes though. Their 3's weren't falling and that is why they lost. The refs are terrible but that is not what cost the tigers the game. Shooting about 14% from 3 land will beat them. Congrats to Cully and good luck to Marshall County as the real season begins.
  22. Not based on anything...just my opinion.
