  1. Did Lewis Co. and C'wood play each other at the Wayne Co. camp this summer? Who alls startin for C'wood?
  2. ptgaurd 12 and cat1973 I gotta say, I love reading yalls post. Yall always know what's goin on. So, do yall think that there is a possibility that one of these 12a teams could make it to substate and maybe even play a game or 2 up at the boro? I know that it's a little early but thought yall might know.
  3. I agree that it will be an interesting year. Seems like some people have got S'town and C'wood locked in as 1 and 2 in the district(In any order). But you definately cannot count W'boro and Perry Co. out. Wayne Co. was region champions last year. They did suffer a lot from losing 4 seniors; however, Wayne Co. can get into a scoring rhythm at times but they also go into slumps. And Perry Co. has good outside shooters but they didn't have much height. But we will just have to wait a few more weeks and see! It should be a great year. It will be good to see how teams have coped with losing great players. Good luck to every team in 12a! Hopefully one of you can make another state appearance.
  4. WOW! I didn't realize that s'town had 4 seniors. Does any of them start? They looked pretty good at the Wayne Co. summer camp. They were really scrappin of course s'town has always been known for their hustle. Who is C'wood playin saturday?
  5. I had heard that C'wood had lost some girls besides Andrews and Daniel and that they were hurting a little bit because of it. How were they looking at the Franklin Co. scrimmage? Do they look like they will be first in their district again this year?
  6. The Wayne County team camps are the first two weeks of june.
  7. The Wayne county ladycats have started out slow this year, but maybe things will speed up. Anyone have any words of advice or incouragment for the ladycats to give them that spark they need? Well, just believe in yourselves girls and the rest will come. Good luck against clfton this thursday ladies. GO LADYCATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I just wanna say to all the wayne co. students that I am very proud of yall, yall were the loudest bunch out there! I know that yall pumped up the team and calmed them down a lil bit. I would have to say that today we had the best student section that weve had in bout three years!!! And no trip is too far when your school is in the STATE tournament!!! I hope to see all yall friday. Austin Daniel, lead the way man!!!!! GOOD LUCK LADYCATS! GO OUT THERE AND SHOW THEM THAT EVEN HICKS CAN PLAY BALL!! SEE YALL FRIDAY AT THE BORO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. I didn't see much of the Lexington game, but I did get to see Wayne Co. play Lauderdale and there was definitely a lot of holding and some trash talking coming from Lauderdale Co. The Ladycats were constantly having to tuck there jersies back in. At one point in the game, a Lauderdale girl was literaly punching Rachel Melson in the back. After the play was over, one of the refs started talking to Melson as if she was the one doing the hitting, but she had her back turned to the girl the whole time. I did not see any sportsmanship coming from Lauderdale, but it could have been just that one game. CATS1973, I have read your posts for a couple of years now and you have always been honest and respectful, at least to the people that respect you, and so I back you up 100%!! On a happier note, congrats to the Ladycats and good luck tomorrow night against Summertown. I hope Julia and Tristan are okay!
  10. She has been playing some, and I believe that it has been a reoccuring injury since this summer, but this rivarly is huge!!! I don't remember her ever missing a game against Wayne Co, and I've seen her play them since she was in the seventh grade, so I doubt she's gonna start now. Besides, if it has been bothering her since the summer then she should know what her limitations are. She will be okay, so Wayne Co., don't underestimate her injury or she'll blow right by you. Keep those feet moving ladies!!!! See yall tomorrow night!
  11. Abby will definitly play, she knows that the game will come down to how good her and Leslie do. She is a tough competitor and will give 110% the entire time no matter how bad that heel? hurts! Fatige, from missing some of the season, would probably be her only problem. This rivarly is too big to be sittin on the bench! GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. The wildcats travel to C'Wood tuesday night for their first match-up against the trojanettes this season! Wayne County is returning 4 starters, and Collinwood still has the dynamic duo of Abby Andrews and Leslie Daniels. With that being said, what is everybody's predictions?
  13. Wayne County has three players very talented players that have already signed to play college ball!! Tristan Daniel-Belmont Rachel Melson-Freed Hardmen Julia Myers-Freed Hardmen Keep a lookout for this trio!
  14. I agree richland will be good again next year, but district 12 will be the hardest ones to overcome. Summertown will still have lovett and clark and more comin up with great talent. Collinwood will still have daniels and andrews with rich and ward feeling in for thompson and h.daniel. Perry County isn't losin any starters so that'll be a big advantage for them. And you can never ever rule out Wayne County. They will have 4 starters returning and the height advantage, as long as they can play TEAM BALL then they should be pretty good. It's a shame that these teams are in the same district and have to put each other out in order to make to state! Good luck to all the teams next year!!!
  15. I say cwood by 5 maybe more if Brianna had a game like she did against us monday night. If Abby and Leslie can share the spotlight then cwood can make it to, and probably win, the state championship. Trojanettes, play like a team and yall will make it far! Good luck to yall! P.S. We'll get yall next year!!
