  1. Nashville Celtics are an adidas team and a solid program. Team Nashville is also pretty good but not sure about sponsor, along with the Tennessee Tigers. All those teams are based in Nashville and practice in Nashville. Travelers are based in east tennessee so you'd be traveling for practice. Just a thought.
  2. The reason you are having trouble getting the information on the match-ups is because 14AAA hasn't finished yet. They finish play tonight, I believe. DC will play the loser of the Bolton/Raleigh-Egypt game tonight at 6.
  3. The boys baseball job is open according to the mnps website.
  4. You are absolutely right, soccer mom! However, I would really like to hear your green tinted view of what happened. Cheerboy (oh, that's a good one, if I DO say so myself...since that's what you do), I like to talk trash as much as anybody, but you don't really want to hear my version of it...sho nuff...'cause I saw every bit of it. If, after a lot of thought, you really do wanna know, though, why don't you just drive yo 'better-than-us self' up to the game next Saturday and look me up. That way I can tell you to your face. I been wantin' to meet you anyway. And don't forget to bring a soccer ball. Maybe I'll 'kick it' for you. Holla. What's wrong with being a cheerleader? Unfortunately, I wont be able to make the game. I am gonna watch my team, Northeast! Plus, i am kinda scared of angry rednecks who meet high school kids via the internet and want to meet face to face. CREEPY!!!! I see DatelineNBC in your future, buddy. Should be a good matchup though. Maybe no one will get a broken nose in this one.
  5. If you're going to comment on this be ready to take some heat...either way. In my opinion, the most guilty and incompetent parties weren't players. However, opinions are usually 'biased,' right Eaglette? You are absolutely right, soccer mom! However, I would really like to hear your green tinted view of what happened.
  6. Wow! And they have to play again soon too, right?
  7. Is it true that someone got suckerpunched in the Greenbrier/ White House game?
  8. who are they playing? What happened in the WH/GB game? I thought GB would win that game.
  9. Yeah, I am kidding. Actually I am a high school student. I go to Northeast High School. I just love to watch basketball and one of my friends plays at Sycamore. I am biased in that I want my team to win. But I respect my opponent enough to understand if and when we get outplayed.
  10. My Eagle Pride comes from the school that I attended for college. (See college is where people, outside GB, go after high school to recieve further education jk) But has nothing to do with where I am currently working. I teach high school, coach an aau team and do some scouting for a few of my friends who coach at the college level. So, I am niether, & lack bias as it pertains to this situation. Because you are so biased, I think it is fun to get you all fired up. I appreciate your passion and try to use it to get a rise out of you. I really mean no harm. I dont know you but I am sure you are a good parent. If you weren't you wouldnt care so much about your kid's team.
  11. Dude in one post you pretty much offended the entire Greenbrier Community, two very respectable player parents, and a very talented, scholastic, young athlete. 5-Sport will give credit when credit is due, NOT WHEN YOU THINK HE SHOULD. If one person stirring the pot on a message board can offend an entire community, then you guys are waaaaay too sensative and need to get a life.
  12. My intent was not to take a shot at Craig but at this 5 year old posing as an adult. Bradshaw is a good player and competes hard. I have tremendous respect for him. I apologize if that came off the wrong way.
  13. Casey Prather because he is soooo valuable to his team. The others would still be really good teams without them.
  14. I would have to put Kedren Johnson-Marshall County in the mix with the other 3.
  15. Wow. I knew there was a reason i didn't care for Greenbrier. It's because people like you live there. You don't have to be a ref to be objective but you do have to be intelligent, so I guess you're out of luck. Based on your comments, I can only imagine what kind of terrible sportsmanship you are teaching your son in all 5 sports. You must be Bradshaw's dad, as I noticed he didnt shake hands after the Sycamore game. Great job, DAD!
  16. Basketball is a game of runs. If your team is so young and inept, how come the only time you lose is when the refs take it away from you? Every team fouls. 44 and 52 put two hands in guys backs and push off on almost every rebound and it doesnt get called. I dont cry about it, I tell my kids to man up and get them off our backs. My point is, sometimes you just get beat and you have to give the other team credit for being the better team on that particular night. These kids are busting their butts to try to win just like yours is. You guys are playing well right now. I have no problem saying that. I haven't read any of your posts that said anybody not in a green jersey could do do anything well on a basketball court. Objectivity, grasshopper! thats all I am saying.
  17. Well said! He didn't give Westmoreland any credit when they beat Greenbrier either. To Greenbrier's credit, it looks like Bradshaw is really stepping his game up when his team needs him the most. 27 pts vs. Sycamore and 30 last night vs. Goodpasture. By the way, I heard through the grapevine that the McElhiney kid's(Goodpasture) dad is in very poor health. I believe he is battling cancer and not doing well. So, if you see him you may want to say a kind word or give this young man some encouragement because his coach said he is really struggling. On a lighter note, it may be Macon Co that is putting it together at the right time. If I am not mistaken, they are leading the district after a beat down of Westmoreland last night. Congrats to Coach Welch, one of the true "good guys" in coaching, and the Tigers. This is gonna be a crazy district tourney!
  18. Well, I know Halford is a solid head coach. Have you seen them play this year? Not alot to work with and their league is tough with the region being even tougher. He is excited about his freshman group. So just be patient grasshopper...Rome wasnt built in a day and as I remember, they were horrible before he got there. I think next year you will really start to see significant improvement because I know he is working hard with the younger kids.
  19. People who do not have the ability to be objective really amuse me.
  20. I think you are right. They seem to be getting it together. If I remember correctly, Sycamore got on a roll in the district about this time last year and rode it all the way to the region semi's. Does anyone know what happened in the WH/Westmoreland game last night. I can't find the score.
  21. Can Westmoreland beat White House tonite and pull into a tie for the district's top spot? How will the Bobkittens fair at Sycamore? Is Macon off tonite? I could not find them on the schedule.
  22. How bout those Eagles? While I don't think it will be easy, with only four games left, Westmoreland has put themselves in a nice postion so far. White House is definitely better than anyone thought. Coach Spencer does a great job of getting the most out of his talent and the 1-3-1 just lulls teams to sleep until they make a mistake. The other 4 teams are likely to beat up on each other as there is alot parity in this district. As good as they are, i doubt WH goes the rest of the way without a loss either. Should be interesting.
  23. It sounds like they played well. I heard Sycamore shot the ball poorly, missing a ton of wide open looks they usually knock down. Congrats to the Bobcats. Looks like they are the early favorite for 9AA
  24. Nope. With Liberty Tech coming back down to AA and Steele returning at Fulton, I'd say everyone else is playing for 3rd place. Manassas, Sheffield, and Hillcrest in Memphis will likely be contenders as well.
