  1. Well if thats the case thats smart on their coaches part.
  2. I remember that RB he was a hard runner! The loss of Primm and Bell will hurt definitely. But I'm sure they have some younglings in the wings ready to step in. Who have they played in scrimmages and how did they do? Have they officially started thier regular season or will this be their first game? Although we didn't play our first string but a half we have buttoned the chin straps and got the gears moving. DC could come in a bit rusty?
  3. I don't think prophet was trying to slight any player in the team. But it is widely known about Teague and Allen and possibly the transfer being highly recruited. We have a great team and all the ones mentioned above are part of that team and have roles. It was great to see Mac score on the pass, then Chalres Barnes scored, and I think Deonted Nored scored as well from a pass from Teague. 3 guys you didn't even mention. Honestly it will be harder to coach this team and keep them together then in years past because of all the talented guys who all want the ball. Divvying it up amongst them and keeping them happy will be a chore, but one I feell Coach Gaddis will be able to handle. Remember this is a team when we start singling one guy out for not getting the ball enough or another for too much it causes problems. NO one should be counting anything except for wins. Together Everyone Achieves More
  4. I think what I saw from Coach Gaddis in keeping his first team in the whole 1st half was a travesty!!!! How dare he !! What he should of done was called Coach Markum,Coach Bona,Coach Buford, and Coach Cheek from our junior high programs and told them to suit up their respective teams from the start of the second quarter. If they were too much for NW I'm sure we could have called on the Bears,Dolphins,Steelers or Raiders from our Pop warner teams to come in and do mop up duty!! I hope people can read my air of sarcasm with this piece. If the NW coaches were crying over Friday night then shame on them. Sometime you just run into a grinder and they should realize that. Coach Gaddis had an obligation to his team to at least work through the first half and work on certain things regardless of the score. He did the right thing by starting his other players the start of the second half. Also it is my opinion that it is the losing teams coaches responsibility to wave the white flag. If he wanted us to call the dogs off then take out your first team. From what I saw he kept in his starting QB an running back the entire game. Coach Gaddis and his staff should dismiss any of this and look to next week which I'm sure they'll do. Go Big Red!!!!
  5. I haven't agreed with therealgame much, but on this I'll have to. This will be a hard fought game! Never overlook anyone ever!!! We (the fans) overlooked Westview last year and they came out with a win. They always play well at their place regardless of the talent they have! Pride is on the line so it will be physical.
  6. Don't they play a ball control style of offense? If so they can eat clock and keep our high powered offense off the field. Our defense will need to be big in this game to make stops and cause turnovers. If we could score first this would put pressure on them to score. They had a rb/fb that ran pretty hard last year if my memory serves me right? #45 maybe is he still there?
  7. 27 hours and 49 minutes can't wait!!!! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  8. After reading this post I've got way too much time on my hands? lol
  9. Any person of average intelligence and passed the 7th or 8th grade knows the simple physics equation for momentum. M = mass x acceleration . Now why do I tell you this its because #34 is a great player one because he definitely has a great mass and accelerates better than average for his build. Once he gets started his momentun is off the charts and you cannot match his momentum with one person. Also Newtons first law says that an object in motion or an object at rest will stay in motion or at rest until acted upon by an outside force. Basically that is way over the heads of anyone claiming that one NW player can generate the momentum to take #34 down. Go to rivals and check out his highlights he carries two and three guys 6 or more yards into the endzone because of his ability to generate that great momentum. My last example is this for all you fisherman. How hard is it to stop your truck from 55 mile an hour with no trailer and 55 miles an hour with a fully loaded boat trailer. I'm sure you'll say the boat trailer is harder to stop and that is momentum!!! fastcat scientifically speaking there are very few that can stop #34 once he sarts running and we appreciate the bulletin board material with that asinine statement. Look that word up too!! Thats my lesson for the day. Can't wait for Friday night!! Go Big Red
  10. HEHEHEHE Surely they worked a little this summer? The sky is falling, the sky is falling!!! GUYS, it was just a scrimmage. Any coach worth a grain uses scrimmages to assess their team and give players experience. We know what Marsalis and Dominique can do. Mac looked pretty good and will be an asset to the team. We have some problem areas to work out, but what team doesn't? I guess you guys want us to peak by August 22nd? That makes alot of sense! Also whether we are as good or bad as last year at this time is objective and really cannot be proven or disproven so why argue it. I don't even begin to know the intricacies of football, but I enjoy watching it as well as several dozen other sports and I know that pre season games win or lose mean nothing more than the effort to play them. They are what they are which is an opportunity for two teams to knock someone other than their own team around gain some semi game experience. We've been to two semi finals in a row ,enjoy the ride people!!! /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" /> Hopefully with some hard work and a little luck we clear the hump this year!!! Have faith in our coaching staff and our team to work out the kinks!
  11. Well my first time on here this year and I gotta tell ya I am wound up tighter than a 3 day clock about the season fixing to start! Friday night lights are awesome!! Hoping to see BIG things from the team this year and more highlights than a segment of SportsCenter! I've got to admit to you "hardcore guys" I think your nuts sitting on the hillside in this heat watching practice! But it takes all kinds to make the world go round and I expect you are conditioning yourselves for the heat we'll have on Aug 22nd! Noticed we got a nice new pressbox. That thing is enormous!!! Hoping to extract some revenge on Westview this year. That one stung a bit. Either way ready to see some smash mouth football and hopefully march our way to Murfreesboro in Dec.! /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />
  12. Can't disagree with the assessment of Williams. Also Paris paper is saying HC will be playing Rossview at Rossview Fri night.
  13. All of these guys are great choices. What about Williams at Rossview?
  14. Well I heard they looked at the tape and she got it off. Unfortunate, but it shows that both teams can play with the best if they put their A game in.
  15. Well I was around back in the day when Puryear use to beat the superior Grove teams in basketball. I guess they didn't have any talent?
  16. We can as far as the boys believe we can go.
  17. Your a funny man Heisman!! Going to Dickson?
  18. You may be a junkyard dog but your comments are 24 k!!! I agree completely! You know what team is all about my friend!!! Great comments!!! There is no"I" in team.
  19. I'm not saying I"m a genius and I totally agree that June bug was big in this game. But you stated earlier that coach must have told him to have a big game and I'm simply saying that I think that all coaches tell their players they need to have a big game in order to win. Some nights they do and other nights they don't. That's all I'm saying. Not trying to dis you or anything at all. We are on the same team here. I feel that we as fans sometimes put undue pressure on our coaches. Good and bad.
  20. Ok hero your heart is big but your views are a little short sided I think. Do you really think that Coach has never told Bug he needs to have a big game? Bug took over the game maybe because the coach was in his ear, but also because Bug wanted to take the game over. If coaches could push the switch I believe they would break it because bottom line coaches want to WIN. A player with an "on" button would make it seem like Christmas every game. If a players is in a slump coaches can help and hinder them to a degree with how they deal with the players psyche. But I believe coaches the world over get too much credit for a player playing well or poorly. What do you think?
  21. I'm confused because he played the same guys he's played all year except for the Sparks kid. Who played a good game but was not a real factor offensively. Everyone else that played have been the major contributors this year anyway. So what is different from last night and the rest of the season? To me the players hit some shots early and played with confidence the rest of the way. I don't know that we won because the coach made drastic changes. I did notice their half court offense looked as good as I've seen it. So I'm just a novice at this sport so tell me what he did with player selection that was sooo different?
  22. Well Yes I was being a smart alec, but toward all those that were trashing the coach and what he was trying to do with this team! Either way I'm very excited about this game and hope the momentum can carry to the Dickson Co. game Tues!!! This game was HUGE for confidence as we begin to wind down the season.
  23. I was at the HC -NE game that score 47-43 look right! HC shocked NE tonight
