Columbia Central took district titles on both the Guy/Girls sides today. Finishing Runner up was Spring Hill on both sides. Congratulations to Lawrence County, Marshall County, CA, and Sante Fe on your seasons and congratulations to Spring Hill on the two runner-up finishes with excellent bowling on both sides. Regionals Thursday, Jan. 17th Galaxy Lanes, Columbia, TN Also Congratulations R.J. Kern with a 299 for Sante Fe High School.

I know the district tournament is at 10:00AM on Monday, and CHS, Spring Hill, Marshall County, Lawrence County, CA, and Sante Fe are all bowling boys/girls side. As for Regions, I don't know the time but I think 1:00 PM and the qualifiers from District 8 are unknown, however Smyrna won its district and I think Siegel came in second? I can't be positive.

Our District Tournament is on Monday, January 7th at Thunder Alley in Dickson. Our Regional tournament is on Thurs. Jan. 17th at Galaxy Lanes in Columbia.

We use all of the games bowled for that individual bowler. For instance, I bowled 44 out of the possible 48 games in our matches. I did not bowl four of the games, therefore there is no effect on my average. Every game that we bowl affects our averages. There are no drops. Good luck to everyone as districts come to a close and regionals begin to get going.

I bowled 300 the first game, then a 256, then 278. 834 Series overall. Thank you for the congrats. It's kind of nice considering I hadn't shot 800 before and it was my 18th birthday lol

Everyone ready for the Columbia tournament? It seems like there's going to be a lot of good competition attending.

none of us think that way. we dont look at it like we got robbed and none of us had said it. Hardin bowled good against us but i wouldnt speak to fast to say that hixson would have beat us had we made it past. our entire right side struggled in our match vs hardin((ex. Me-I didnt bowl my average once...very off day but it happens i guess)). so yeah had any of us figured something out and maybe gotten a hint of carry, we would have stood just as much of a chance at beating them as they would have beaten us. sorry just a little rant cause comments making us seem like we are un-sportsman like bother me especially considering that a lot of people look at us as an un-portsman like and cocky team all because of comments from ONE of our bowlers. So yeah, not a team decision for that post. however i will say congrats to Hixson. Great season and good job at state. and thank you knoxbowler for saying what u did bout us. it will be a long road without garrett by our sides but i believe we can pull through it. We'll see you all again next year one more thing..Jonathan from Hixson-sorry bout any hostility also. I had a completely changed view of you when you said that to me at state. congratulations on your season

None of the Hixson boys made the finals but Alex Noyes did make the top 12...the sport was extrememly challenging and he struggled a bit in the last two games. Garrett Flatt, Gary Faulkner both put up great numbers all around... Good luck to all bowlers still alive! and to all teams in state!

Well guys this is what it all boils down to. State is almost here and I can't wait to get back to competition. It has been a long road for us Lions but here we are ready to fight our way back to the top. I just want to say congrats to all of the bowlers and teams heading to state. Good luck to all of you. **Here we go Lions...Time to bring our name back .**

Columbia Central advanced to state finals today with a win over Walker Valley. The final score was 20-7 Central. Congratulations to Walker Valley on a very strong season. They are a powerful team with great attitudes. We hope to see you again in the future. Good luck to all those competing in the state tournament, individual and team.

ok i was quite a bit off the final was 17-10 and the final count was 2,995-2877 good luck again to all teams still in it

Soddy Daisy girls defeated Central High today...both girls teams played their hearts out and the match was decided by the last two frames of the last game.(I am not to sure of the final score but i think it was something like 15-12 and within 50 pins of each other) it was easy to see from my perspective as a spectator and a brother to one of Central's bowlers that all of the girls worked hard to advance to where they were today. The scores were phenominal and it would be nice to see both teams advance. It's sad to say that won't happen, but my hat is off to Soddy Daisy. They are a strong team with what seemed to me pretty good attitudes Good luck to all of those who advanced today that i know of-(Soddy, Hixson, and Bartlett) and good luck in the future to those teams who came so close(Central, Lawrence County, and Lexington)... yeah...hopefully we'll be able to keep our numbers going throughout sub-state and state...we were upset last yr. by bad decision making too but on our parts...we don't want to let that happen again. sorry bout ur season mcgavock
