  1. Very impressive win for HHS. Good luck in the finals.
  2. A very entertaining game. HHS had a couple of big pass plays for td's. D had a goal line stand in first half. 7 - 7 halftime, HHS scored next ten only to have NE answer with 14. NE scored 1st half on pick 6. HHS went ahead with about 5 min left and NE drove to HHS 30 then turned over on downs. HHS then ran out time punting with 7 secs left. Clock hit zero as punt landed out of bounds. Good luck next week against very good Ridgeway team.
  3. Congratualations to Coaches Breeden and Weave and the Riverdale players. They are a class act and the title is well deserved. I logged on to make that one simple statement but after reading era's post.......Come on, the 1980 hockey team. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Anyone that follows fastpitch in Tennessee knows that Riverdale is always competative and as long as they have their current coaching staff will compete for championships.
  4. Should be a great game between two very talented and well coached teams. Wish I could be there. Guys, enjoy this moment in time, it is the best.

    Motlow St.

Tough ending to a great season. Even though i was a Vol St. guy, I was cheeering for the Lady Bucs. To the girls that KK played with and against over the years, good luck in the future. It's been a pleasure watching you grow into great softball players and beautiful young ladies.

If anybody is interested, Motlows game is being broadcast on the net. You can link from the Motlow St. website.
  7. Congrats to Motlow for finally ending the Chattanooga domination. Motlow has a fine team and I hope they do well at the nationals. My dd played for Vol state. We lost to them in the winners bracket finals. Their coach was smart enough to ride his ace for the entire tournament and it paid off for him. Unfortunately our coach did not have the same mentality. KK was so excited to pitch against Motlow in Wednesday night and I was too. I got off work and rushed to Columbia to watch what I though was going to be a great ballgame. When I arrived I was amazed to see our #2 on the mound. We scored 3 in the 1st but our pitcher was not throwing well and Motlow quickly tied the ballgame. Instead of bringing KK in he went to our #3 who gave up 3 more runs. Motlow is a great team and they might have beat KK but we'll never know. She was 19-3 and had already beaten them twice. After listening to the players and parents after the game it came as no surprise that we mailed it in against Chattanooga the next morning. Sorry for the vent guys but I'll go to my grave wondering what his thought process was. Good luk to Motlow. Represent us well.
  8. I don't like Riverdale.......or Beech, Mt. Juliet, Soddy, ect. However, I love how they play and what they have acomplished. I've enjoyed watching my daughter compete against these teams for 4 years and always looked forward to the games. Riverdale should be the favorite to win the state next year with Cat returning for her senior year but anything can happen. One bad game at the wrong time and your season is over. For all of you negative people out there, you should strive to get your team up to their level, not bring them down to yours.

Hendersonville beat Wilson Central 7 - 0 setting up a Hendersonville - Mt. Juliet losers bracket final. It's a shame one of these teams will end their season tomorrow night. Congrats to Beech, Lauren pitched a great game.
  10. 12 teams make the gold bracket in Chattanooga. The top half of the bracket has 4 teams, the bottom half has 8. In the bottom, Soddy, Mt. Juliet, GPS, Hendersonville......... In the top, Ooltawah, Bradley, East Ridge......... I've been around this game for a long time but Ive never seen a bracket like this. The pools were set so that none of the stronger teams had a chance to get in the top half. Congrats to Soddy, they played well and deserved to win the Tourney. They beat some good teams and had to play an extra game to get to the championship.
  11. Hendersonville beat Pisgah 4- 1, lost to Huntsville 5 - 3 Thursday. Beat Grissom 1 - 0 and Watumpka 9 -3 in pool play. In elimination beat Madison County 10 - 1 and Austin 10- 0 then got thumped by Vestavia 10 - 0.

    Grand slams

Hendersonville's Ashley Smith had one in the 1st inning against Wetumka, AL last night and had a Solo shot that hit the scoreboard Friday night against Huntsville.
  13. Hueytown, AL beat Beech in the championship game. It was an interesting day, Hendersonville beat Baylor and Soddy, then lost to Beech, Mt. Juliet beat Riverdale then lost to Powell. The only out of state teams to make the top 8 were Hueytown and Decatur, AL. Final 8 were Hendersonville, Beech, Mt. Juliet, Siegal, Powell, Trinity Christian, Hueytown, and Decatur. Hendersonville lost both of their catchers Friday night and I was really proud of the way the girls played with all of the line up changes. They hope to have their #1 back by the end of the week and #2 is out 3-4 weeks.
