Have not seen Casey Browder in the Box Scores for McMinn Central in recent days / weeks. Any info on why he hasn't played?

Any thoughts on these two? Brainerd has not played their best lately, Meigs is much improved. Tyner and Boyd could be quite a battle. Boyd won by 5 earlier at Tyner. These are four of the top 5 teams in the standings as of now. Predictions?

What happened last time?

I don't have my rulebook with me today, but GOVMAN's description is accurate. We had it called on our team 2 years ago and this is how it was explained to me. I see it called very little.

Let me say that I know Coach Baker and I believe him NOT to be a racist. With this said, he has shown incredibly poor judgment. This must be dealt with and I am afraid that it will lead to his job. That may be tough to swallow but you can't have role models saying things like this. We are held to a higher standard , right or wrong. As to the meaning of the word, I don't care what the dictionary says about it. I know how it is used in our society today. Many people take offense, that is why it should NEVER be said.

Next Big game - Tyner @ Boyd Tuesday night. Any thoughts? What do each team have to do in order to win?

I have never heard it used that way and even if that were true, You have to have better judgment to NOT use it. It is too sensitive of a word. Poor, Poor, judgment from someone who is suppose to be a role model.

Does Boyd surprise you guys?

Both District 5 and 6 tournaments will be fun to watch. Boyd is probably the surprise of the bunch. 14 - 6 and 8 and 2 is pretty good. Plus, they have won 12 out of their last 14.

Can someone explain to me how the "n" word applies to white people? I am confused. Let me add that I am a white person and I have never been called that word or have I heard it used in that way. I think that is a cop out. There is no way he will keep his job.

What a great region tournment 3AA promises. With four of these teams and then possibly Brainerd, Tyner, Boyd Buchanan, and McMinn Central. Would be a great tournament if the current top four teams in each district were to make it to region.

Brainerd beat Tyner in Overtime. Brainerd had a 15 point lead in the first half but then played poorly and Tyner got hot. Good game. Brainerd now 9 -1, Boyd 8 - 2, Tyner 8 - 3. Top two teams in regular season automatically advance to the district semis in this 9 team district and automatically qualify for the region tournament. Next big game is Tuesday with Tyner going to Boyd.

Good article .... What do others think about this district and Boyd? Seems like this district is one of the most competetive but least talked about.

Looking at the schedules, it seems that those four also still play one another with the exception of Tyner who swept Central. Still wondering if Boyd is for real?

We typically go about 1 and 1/2 hours. Some game planning as well as refining what we do as a team. We will do a few individual drills primarily shooting drills at this time of the year. Primarily we work on team issues.

I don't know how this district will shake out but I know it looks like a good district. I know that Brainerd and Tyner are for real. Central is a little down but still a quality team worthy of making noise. My question concerns Boyd. Are they for real? 8 - 2 in the district after going like 6 - 10 last year? Info?
