  1. Father Ryan will be an exciting tournament. I agree Dosha Mintlow (Glencliff) has an excellent opportunity at 145. Tough contender with speed and good moves. Should take his weight class. Too bad MLK will be at Hillwood that day. Another tough Region 7 team. Nick Johnson at 130, Andrew Lowe at 103, Andrew Reed at 125, Nick Burnley at 152. Sophmore Kyle Chandler qualified for State at 145 as a frehman shows he should do it again. I would like to see Chandler and Mintlow on the mat. MLK meets Glencliff at MLK on Jan. 15. Sure to be a good match .
  2. You are correct, a major decision defeat in the regional final. Chandler and White both split one and one during the season. I agree, White, a senior, will be a wrestler to watch for at state. As I stated before, Chandler, a freshman, will be one to watch this year at state and for the next three years. TSSAA REGION 7 INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSIPS WRESTLERS 145 Feb 8-9, 2007 Name Team Year Record Pct Kyle Chandler(2) MLK 9 40- 5 88.89 Derek White(1) Glencliff 12 30- 4 88.24
  3. 2006-2007 State Tournament Predictions Division I State Champions: Soddy Daisy Runner Up: Bradley Central 145 1) Kelly Felix (Franklin) 2) Brett Shields (Pigeon Forge) 3) Alex Spletzer (Soddy) 4) Richey Ward (Ravenwood) 5) Lucas Shuler (Seymour) 6) Josh Disney (Bradley) Others to watch: J.D. Alexander (Mont Cent), Tim Stephens (Ooltewah), Caleb Proctor (Blackman), Dustin Jones (Springfield) Altough not predicted, Kyle Chandler ( 145# - MLK) is one to watch this year. He is a Freshman with a solid performance of 42 and 5. He has yet to be pinned and has not given up by more the 6 points. Still young but has strength, speed and gaining experience fast. Watch for him over the next three years.
  4. Hey Coach 119. Bam-Bam is not predicted but we know he has a good chance. Tell me Hi at State! Bam-Bam's Dad.
