Dyersburg boys coach is a Woman? I haven't seen them play, and don't get me wrong I am not at all implying she couldn't do a good job, I'm just simply curious if that's what you guys are talking about....

But tonight will go a long way in determining that argument one way or the other. If they come out and put it on Beech I'll be a believer. If Beech blows them out as they did the last time these two met, then I'm still not gonna be completely sold on them...Should be a good game though, wish I could watch. See that is tough to say that it was something that Wilson Central did so well, or that maybe Mount Juliet just took their foot off the gas pedal and couldn't turn it back on. Key point being, they were down by 21 at half! Wow! Credit them for fighting back and getting the W, but not sure I'd walk away saying they were superior, but thats just my opinion.

I couldn't agree more. You never like a loss, but there was several bright spots to me last night. And ultimately it doesn't matter if you win the district tournament, just as long as you get hot at the right time. You still have to beat the teams in the region either way at one time or the other. That's the great thing about the way the playoffs are set up... I kind of was hoping we'd get a home region game so I could save on some travel expenses, lol, but ultimately that doesn't really matter. Just have got to learn from last night''s game and do things better the next time out!

Wow, what an intelligent post. I agree with all of your assessments, you need to be more active on this thread. Well said about Alderson, he is tough no doubt but not a nightmare to match up against. I like to look at the mvp when discussing all of these great kids like this.... Let's pretend you're an opposing coach going up against one of these teams.... Which one of these kids would give you the most nightmares, who are you most worried about containing. In the sense of, if you don't contain him, he will no doubt lead his team to victory. Because I agree, an mvp can not come from a team that can not win. That term some are searching for would be a scorer. Great scorer and mvp are not the same thing... All that said, who won the awards from yesterday's meeting???

It's funny how two sides of the coins see things completely different. I think DC has a good ball club, and hit about 4 shots in a row that they had to make or they were done. HC pg fouling out and bring in a replacement with limited experience in big games was costly as well. Things just went exactly as DC needed it to that last two minutes. Folded? Ha, I don't think that's the right assessment at all. You win some, you lose some and hopefully you learn from them. DC has a good ball club, but I am in no means scared of them and would bet things turn out differently if teams were to play again. But all that said, hopefully the kids that had to play late in that game gained some valuable experience to them that will pay off down the stretch run here.
