  1. well if you think franklin is overrated then i'm going to say independence is overrated too; just to make you mad.
  2. You simply amaze me, but i can see why you think Franklin is somewhat overrated this year, but it honestly does not matter how the season goes. No one remembers the regular season, the play-offs is what people remember. I still could see Brentwood or Franklin making a run for the state tourney though, but Independence just doesn't have the line-up to match up with a Bearden, White Station, or Raleigh Egypt (hopefully you've heard of these teams).
  3. I went to the Franklin vs. Centennial game Friday night and couldn't believe what I was watching. Never could I imagine the Rebels losing to their two biggest rivals on back to back Friday nights. However, I still believe Franklin is the team to beat and could be very dangerous during play-off time and make a very surprising run for the state tournament. They have a great team on paper, but they all have to play well to make it far and I believe they can from watching them this year. I know their struggling a little right now, but i believe they're about to heat up. Also, while I was at the Centennial game I still do not understand Franklin's way of substituting. Play your best 8 players. You're their to win.
  4. I've been watching this Franklin team all year as well as other district 11-AAA teams and i do not understand why it seems like the Rebels are not as dominate. They pretty much have the same team as last year but without Kegarise and they have Haddix who has stepped up big this year. I still believe Franklin is the best team in this district, but it seems to me that they're getting outcoached some games. Brentwood and King knew everything that Franklin was going to do and it showed during the game. They played no help on Young and were in his face the whole game and played off the non outside shooters like Glover and Pace. Also, I know Franklin got into foul trouble but where was Haddix down the stretch? Independence and Darren Henry also gave Franklin a scare earlier this year and i believe it was because Henry prepared their players for Franklin. However, the Rebels still wound up winning on a last second shot. I also thought last year that Young was the primary point guard and Henry was more of the shooting guard with Kegarise and backup point guard. It seemed like it worked last year, but i know now that Henry is the point guard and Young runs the wing this year. Also, i've noticed teams in this district run an 8 man roatation and Brentwood had only 7 players play the night against Franklin. It looks to me like the Rebels use about a 12 or 13 man rotation. I don't remember them doing that last year. It just doesn't look like the Rebels can get into a groove with everyone getting subbed in and out all the time. Those are just some things that have stood out to me this year about the Rebels team from last year and the Rebels team from this year. Anyways, i know i'm just a district 11-AAA fan with an opinion but i've been watching all these teams for years and i thought for sure this year Franklin would run away with this district.
  5. You said you should have beat Franklin, but you didn't so it means nothing. I guarantee the next time Franklin meets up with the Indy Eagles that it will not even be close, but then again i bet Henry over there is probably thinking otherwise. ha
  6. Will someone please post the score of the BGA vs. Franklin game on the schedule on coacht. It was December 13, 2008, and the score was 64-30. I would do it myself but I can't do it this year for some reason.
  7. Franklin is definitely not down this year and i see them running away with the district. Hopefully they will start peaking and play their best basketball at the end of the season in the play-offs. However, if they make it to the state tournament they could have some big trouble with White Station and their two dominant players in Ferrakhon Hall and Joe Jackson. Also, Bearden could be a big test as well with big Demonte Simpson.
  8. Franklin is still the team to beat in this district, even after the loss to Columbia. Once Glover comes back, which is hopefully thursday against McGavock then Franklin will have a great starting five in Young, Henry, Miller-McLemore, Glover, and Haddix. Also, hopefully Starnes will end up playing after the football team plays in the 5A football state championship game, but indications on Starnes are still inconclusive on his decision to play basketball this year. In the end I believe Franklin will make it to the 'Boro' but White Station and Bearden are two teams that stand in their way for a state title game. Franklin plays McGavock this thursday night at home.
  9. Columbia- 59 Franklin- 57 Franklin had an off night, while Columbia had a good night. However, Columbia is a pretty good team the Rebels had 22 turnovers and shot around 50% from the free throw line. Young had 17, and Haddix had 20, but it wasn't enough to win. Key turnovers late in the game cost Franklin this one.
  10. Franklin- 67 BGA- 43 Franklin did not shoot that well tonight, but still ended up handing BGA a beating. However, BGA is not the best team in williamson county. Parker for BGA had a pretty good night with 16 and scoring his 1000th career point at BGA, so congratulations to him. On Franklin's side Young led the way with 15, while Miller-McLemore ended up with another double-double; grabbing 10 rebounds and scoring 12 points (also with 5 or 6 assists). Franklin plays at Columbia Saturday night.
  11. Glover is out with a sprained foot but should be back in about 2 weeks or so. Starnes is still undecided on whether or not he is even going to play basketball. But right now he is with football team. But once Glover comes back and Starnes hopefully returns, it will be interesting to see how good Franklin can be.
  12. Franklin- 70 Clarksville- 49 Franklin won this game very easily after clarksville has dominated them the past two years. Haddix led the way with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Miller-McLemore had 15 points and 8 boards. Young also added 13 (3 three's), 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Franklin plays BGA Monday night.
  13. Franklin- 60 Stratford- 48 It was 53-25 at near the end of the third but we started to put in our back ups way to early and stratford started to catch up. The score was a lot worse than it looks. Miller-McLemore had 13 points and an incredible 17 boards. Young had a team high of 17 points.
  14. alright first of all there is no doubt that kelly is the best player in this district. i mean we have to face it, he will dominate this year but teichmann and young are definitely the district's next two best players
  15. yes sir good ole coach parker. he knew everything at good ole cascade high
  16. Michael Young- Franklin Drew Kelly- Centennial Kyle Teichmann- Brentwood Zee Mason- CPA Hunter Miller- CPA All of these players are getting looks from D1 colleges.
  17. 1. Franklin 2. Brentwood 3. Centennial 4. Hillsboro 5. Overton 6. Ravenwood 7. Independence 8. Hillwood Franklin will easily run away with the district this year with young, starnes, and kegarise leading the way. Brentwood in my opinion is favored second because of their inside presence with teichmann and outside presence with hood. Centennial is right here solely because of Drew Kelly. With no supporting cast around him, i don't see them doing better than third in the district. Hillsboro and Overton are pretty much similar teams and will fight for fourth and fifth place in the district but you never know these teams. With the loss of Darrell Miller of Hillsboro, i don't see as much threat anymore out of this team. Ravenwood will think they can win this district but with your only player graduating last year they will only be pretenders in this district. Independence will struggle a lot this year with losing their best shooter and debated best player in consiglio. I don't see them doing any damage at all this year. And last but not least is the one and only Hillwood. I don't need to say anything about this team because it is understood. All in all, I can't wait for this season in 11-AAA basketball. Also, i'm going to go ahead and predict my state finals. I think Franklin will make it to The Boro but i predict the finals as a clash between an East and West Tennessee teams in Bearden vs. White Station. Joe Jackson and Demonte Simpson should be a great match-up.
  18. all i'm saying here is i want you to respect Antioch
  19. WaCo...you are obviously a white station fan, but i forgot about Jackson being on the team and i agree that white station is a team to watch out for, but so are antioch and ridgeway, but it stinks that these two teams will probably be playing in the semifinal game and one will have to be eliminated
  20. you obviously have not watched antioch play. They are a tough team to contend with and i know they have gotten better since they've played white station, but white station has improved as well. If it ends up being antioch vs. white sation in the championship i would go with antioch because of the coach. Antioch's coach Nollner would out coach White Station's. And just to let you kow i am not an antioch fan or a D12 fan, but a D11 fan, i just think they you are underating Antioch and overrating white station just because they have a four star on their team in Hall.
  21. and if you would have done your research you would have seen that antioch has not lost to a team in tennessee and that lost to the georgia team wasn't that bad considering they were nationally ranked. But i will give you credit on white station because they are a sleeper you need to watch out for
  22. Actually i have seen the majority of these teams and i'm not saying that Antioch or Ridgeway will dominate other teams but i think these teams have the best chance of winning...and last year i picked clarksville to win and they ended up getting second
  23. with all the talk of every team having a chance, there are two teams in the tournament that take those chances away from every other team....ladies and gentlemen i present you with the unbeatable teams in Antioch and Ridgeway. I am not taking away anything from these other teams, but i have seen both AHS and RHS in action and all i can say is that hopefully you won't be playing either of these two teams until the championship.
  24. For one thing that was one of the worst and most embarrassing games i have ever seen franklin play in awhile. They all came out intimidated and scared. Brentwood kept it close because Antioch did not play with as near as much intensity as they did on Franklin and i figured that antioch knew they could probably beet brentwood and were saving up for franklin
