  1. Again Wing T you avoided the entire post. Same as usual. Only thing I am bitter about "and I will admit it" is how the kids were done by certain individuals and parents with vendettas. I have had a great fall, just getting to watch the kids, going to Canada to deer hunt and spending time with my family that I could not do in the past due to football. I don't see any money I paid or lost due to coaching as a volunteer as a regret or hardship. I love the game and studying it and knowing the game is a hobby I will continue as long as it remains a desire to do so. Clinics are a lot of fun you should try it sometime. Just don't ask any questions to expose yourself those guys take the game they love pretty seriously. Still looking for those variations of the WingT and the double wing you know so much about /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  2. That whole post makes no sense. So if (Fritts) is the back QB it is" his position to lose"???? If he were the projected starter I could understand your statement, again I guess it was a typo, being the back up it would be his to "win". That still does not explain how easily you excluded him, because if he and that is a big if he committed himself he clearly has the best arm on the team, now whether he can lead the team that has yet to be proven. Your wing T vs the double wing comments have clearly shown how very very little you really know about football. As you state "as we all know" just because you have a similar formation does not indicate in any way the two systems are at all similar. In fact if you knew anything about it at all you would know that coaches that use those two systems have great debates over how different each are and which is best and why. Go to a coaches clinic and refer to the double wing speakers offense as the wing T and see what happens! It is clear why you talk in such generalities about football. You never will be specific on "any" of your statements you paint everything with a broad brush. I have asked you many many times to explain things in detail or how would you have done it differently and not ONCE have you ever done so. All you do his grind your ax and hide behind a computer or think you hide. You exposed yourself saying we ran the Wing T,,,, everyone knows it,,, and still you continue to try and defend it. Try and make you mad???? Not hardly. It is clear that you are bitter over the failure of your kid to live up to "your" expectations and you must blame someone. Denial is a big part of the world you live in unfortunately. It is hard for kids to learn to take responsibility for disappointments in life when people continue to make excuses for them. A good work ethic and attitude will overcome most of the things we face in life. Rarely in life when realistic goals or dreams are not met is it because of someone else, we only need to look squarely in the mirror. I hope everyone had a great turkey day with family and friends and sincerely I mean that for you too wing T /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />
  3. Ok WingT we understood your question, it was just obvious that you left out the position he has always played! ???? Don't you think if he didn't "stick with it" it would also affect him at TE or WR?????? I guess it is another variation of some sort. It is apparent that in your "mind" (sorry abut the oxymoron), the QB position is already a done deal. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  4. Why not Fritts at QB?????????????? hmmmmmmm,,, yep no favoritism there. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  5. Ohhhhhhh it matters because we know you like hiding behind a computer, now we know ONE of the reasons /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  6. Variation of the Wing-T ohhhhhhh my goodness. Why don't you just tell us about that??????? Nahh you will just ramble on about something else you know so much about. Again now real slow tell us about the variation to the wing T????? /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  7. You really are the "football genius" aren't you!!!!! Sequoyah never ran ANY FORM of the wing T LOL!!! It was the double wing! Anyone with a whiff of football knows the difference. The wing T and the double wing are nothing alike, NOTHING! ROFLMAO!!!! Oh thats funny. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  8. that should crank it up a few notches!!! Let me know when you are coming and we can go to lunch.
  9. Dosen't change much about your classless post. I don't blame ya,,, Good idea ,,,, keep where you are from secret too!
  10. Congratulations to Rhea County for finishing 8-2 regular season, a second place finish in region 4-4A and advancing to the second round of the playoffs in 4-A.
  11. If you are a Meigs fan you sure are doing a lot of fine people in Meigs county very wrong. I don't know any Meigs fans that would be that classless. Sometimes in life people will do what is best for them. I for one don't have any problem with a young man trying to do what is best for HIM. Have you ever changed jobs? If you work. I hope you never get injured on your job and people have the chance to be classless about it. If the young man Mr Rayl was exposed to the likes of you in Meigs County then there is no wonder he transfered. Hide behind a computer and criticize a young man that is injured. Wooo you are a big man!
  12. what is this about a possible bowl game???
  13. Geno is a darn good football coach. He believes the game should be played with a "certain" amount of passion and pride, call it old school if you like, but I respect the heck out of it. He could coach my son anyday.
  14. Sequoyah beat East Ridge 30-6 are at least the fourth best in this region right now. Had Meigs 33-0 at the HALF to say they were weak is not even close. Those kids went through a lot. They were just starting to play to their potential the last half of the season. Give those kids some credit they deserve it.
  15. GREAT JOB CHIEFS!!!!!! dominate, dominate, dominate. 33 to 0 at the half!!!! I don't think there is any question to who is at "least" the fourth best team in the region is. The double wing set can eat you alive when you have a QB like E. that can read it and the O-line understanding what they are doing. Great Great job. What a catch by B. Bell! Kid is going to be a player. Sterling, Josh, Dusty,Topa, Shea, Zach and others have got to be leaders now. Take a couple weeks off (dead period} and then get your butts in the weight room. You have to set the example and DEMAND the rest of them follow you. Set the tone NOW. ALL there eyes will be ON YOU! Lead by example. It is the easiest thing to talk the talk, but what your teammates need and will respect is when you walk the walk! Football games are won based on what you do from the Middle of Nov. till summer camp. You Seniors are a super group of young men. I know that many of you will go on in life and do many great things. I expect nothing less. It has been my blessing and benefit to have been around you. I am a better man for having been able to watch you guys grow into outstanding Young men. I will never forget you. I am in the phone book if I can "ever" be of service to ANY of you. I pray for God's blessing on you all. The torch has now been passed to you underclassmen. Continue the fight, listen to your coaches and walk the walk, demand excellence out of each other, be accountable for your desire, effort, commitment and being a good citizen in and away from School. Remember EVERYTHING you do is a reflection on your family, team, school and community. Congratulations to the coaches for pulling the team together and thanks for your many hours of hard work and commitment to the kids. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  16. Amen,,,,, Preach it,,,,, 48 MINUTES TO PLAY A LIFETIME TO REMEMBER!!!!!!
  17. Thanks coach, I mentioned it to him and he was going to think about it, we are going to talk more about his options when the season is over. We put everybody on hold at the beginning of the season so he could concentrate just on the season. He felt like with everything that had gone on during the summer, he needed to focus just on the team. I hope all is well with you and your family. Dennis said you guys were doing real good. Tell Cody I don't want to hear any ROLL TIDE crap either! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Jake said to tell you thanks for thinking of him.
  18. Howard may have a slight edge in overall team speed but in the key match up areas Howard has no advantage at all. Take away the speed option, intermediate pass game and Howard is in a world of hurt. They don't run it well between the tackles. Central will be able to take away Howard's bread and butter. I still don't know how Howard beat Polk???? In my opinion Polk is a much better football team. Central and Polk are the two best teams in the region. Central should run it straight at Howard, formation them to spread them out some "twins, motion, from the gun , run scissors ,QB follow and counter gt. then play action pass out of run sets to keep them on there heals some. Great special teams play kick it into the end zone or to the boundary taking away half the field. Punt game if it is close punt it out of bounds if not punt it to the boundary, work on punt block, central can get one if they are smart(look at film). If Central gets up two scores, 10 or more points, plays smart, game over. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  19. warhorse e-mail me at drvols@bellsouth.net
  20. Well I will tell you this and I am not trying to be inflammatory but I don't see how in the world you guys beat Polk. In my opinion Polk is a much better team than Howard. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  21. Thanks I will pass your compliment along to Jake. It will mean alot to him. As good a football player as he is, his mom and me are most proud of the young man he has turned out to be. There are several of those Seniors that are very special young men. They will be missed. Thanks again sportsman88. Not becuase you were complimentary of Jake, but you are the type poster on coach T that I usually try and read because I feel I get a fair assessment of situations you have been privy too. As apposed to some ,that it is so evident they get on here to just grind the ax. Go Chargers! Should be a great game!!!!!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  22. Chiefs best defense will be a ball control offense. When you have it 15 yards on the plus side of the 50, first and ten, don't try and throw it over there heads,,,,,,, that has to become 4 down territory. Grind it out and make first downs. If you "just have" to throw it use hitches, slants, bubbles and bench routes. Polk was not a good passing team. How many times did they go for it all? They threw high percentage passes, hitches, bubbles, bench routes. Staying in good down and distance situations is critical to this teams success.
  23. I would like to see them get Greenback on the schedule again. Almost no travel for either school and would generate a decent gate for both schools.
  24. Can I make the first donation??? I have connections with a couple of u-haul dudes /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
