  1. OleTiger, you are nothing but a disgrace to the good people and players at Sunbright. I know that you are just talking out of the wrong end of your body, because there is not anyone that Ignorant in Sunbright. I have been told who you are and if who they say you are then shame on you, you know better than to be putting the things on this that you do. Good luck to the Bulldogs of Wartburg for a great season.
  2. Well it does seem that they have open up the funny farm again at Sunbright and started the season off not knowing what anything is going on, no concept of any rules that the TSSAA might have. I hope that your smart coaches have really only played no more than two games because we don't want you all to be like GAC and be put on probation. Alright OleTiger, Football2008, and GOgetta12 you all need to craw back in the hole that you got out of not for the summer and really think what is going on so we can be informed on the happenings going on at Sunbright Kitty Kat School.
  3. WBSOFTBALL. If you attended the board meeting as you say, then you know who all was there, I did some checking after you posted this and was told that the only people there besides the three principles one supervisor was two central office workers and two technology workers and the news paper editor and some guy working on something from sunbirght. So you must be one of them or a board member /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> or the editor of the morgan county news, then i guess you know what went on in the meeting. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  4. bballpain do you realize who does the hiring in the schools. If I have heard right, The principle does the hiring and all the interviews for each school that he/she is principle and then recommends them to the director/superiendent. Yes the Director of schools is J. Davis's father but he only hires the ones that the principle recommends. Ask the Principle of the school who recommended J. Davis for the coaching job, I was told that it was Mr. Dallas Davis Principle of Wartburg Central High School. This should never come in play and involve the kids on a ball team.
  5. WBSOFTBALL You stated that the new board members constituents wanted another way of getting a new director, to me this needs to be addressed with the state rep. not the school board. The state if I am correct passed a law that all superintendent will be appointed not elected by popular vote, which I think is a very big mistake on the states part. You must be a WIFE of a board member, the radio did not say anything about Mr. Davis being able to submit his application for this again, why would he want to do that when they must not have any confidence in him. One of the board members that was on the radio that voted for him stated that all the board members but one gave Mr. Davis an above standard evulation every year. This seems to alot that I have talked to this past weekend that Mr. Dallas Davis is still angry at not being able to coach. This should not ever come in to play with any of the ball teams kids in anyway shape form or fashion
  6. bulldogplayermom, you are right there is two board members that have a girl playing on the wartburg team. I heard on WECO radio that one of the board members which is from the Wartburg District, has supported Mike Davis from day one was the one that made the motion to extend the contract and was seconded by the sunbright member, they only two that voted to extend the contract according to the radio. Superdave, we can only hope that this does not affect Jason and the girls because they need to be left alone and not be seconded guess by Mr. Dallas Davis, you are right that the wartburg girls would not have made it to the state tournment if Mr. Dallas Davis was coaching last year. I also heard that the other board member that was just elected this past August from the PJ Mossy Grove area was asked if he would vote for Mike Davis and he always said he would until he voted. He has been gotten to by the former "Legend" and was not able to vote for the contract, he does have a daughter that playes for JD. It will take alot of work to keep the girls focused on the game and not on politics which should never come in play.
  7. Final Score Wartburg 13 /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Coalfield 0
  8. Dave, You sound like a either a dad or some type of fan that cannot stand to be on the losing side. The fact is that Wartburg beat Oakdale at Oakdale's game a slow place game not a running type that they usually play. You need to just get off our coach and start worring about who will replace Snow when he steps down. I hear that he is thinking about this in the next year or so, is his son ready or will someone else take over. I look forward to watching Wartburg go to Oakdale and play on Feb. 6th I think that it will be a very good game. All you people that is negative of our coach just need to lay off and let him do his thing and let the season play out like it needs to.
  9. I have talked to the board member that wants to do this and he said that this would make it a lot easier for us to find a keep coaches with the extra money they would receive. As for the tying the coaching position with coaching positions he said that we have a problem now because coaches are usually PE teachers and all the PE teachers onced coaches for sometime and then gave up coaching and the schools now do not have that position to offer it to another coach. He stated that it is hard to find coaches with other degrees that are interested. Doing it this way he thinks that we will be able have the positions open if the coach no longer wishes to be there, he said that they are looking to see if this is possible to do with the teachers contract. He is very easy to get in touch with if someone wants to ask something about this or anything else.
  10. CRY, You are very cocky /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> about being on the commission or as you say the superior board /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> . Wartburg will take care of what it has to. As for coaches we will get one that will be the right fit for us. At leat we don't recuite like you all do at Coalfield, you have to do this ever year in order to do what you do in football, this is a known fact that this does happen ever year.
  11. CY Jacket???? If you know so much about school board policies then why are you not running for school board member? The amount for head coaches in high school basketball, football is $3000.00 not 1500.00. Also I believe that the board members would approve the supplements if it is not going to cost the board any more than it pays not.. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  12. OLDSCHOOL, /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> You should ask your board member why the asst. principal is not on the adgenda like all the principals and administrators are, I was told that the Director of Schools Which happens to be Mike Davis had the asst. principal listed with all the others and the board had the asst. principal pulled it out because I heard he was getting presure from an assistant principal that happens to be also a coach in high school and did not want to make them mad. Also the coaching position at CHS I was told was posted the amount of time that the teachers union required and Jason was interviewed and hired by Dallas Davis the principal and athletic director at CHS. This topic is getting very old and people are starting to act like two kids fussing and fighting about something silly. We need to let things play its course and see what happens next season. I beleive that a lot of people will then be behind Jason and the lady bulldogs because of a very good winning season. Go dawgs. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  13. Sportsman1? you need to get your facts straight, the board member as you are saying stayed behind the scenes was the one that recommended Mike Davis for the Director's job 2 years ago and the one that recommended him for the 2 year extension not the swing vote. You must not like him or have some kind of somthing against him. He has stayed out of this with the with the exception of asking the Director of Schools to have a transisition year for the girls. Again I have talked to him several times on this and he is always willing to listen and hear from anyone in his district. He has always said he wanted to stay behind the scene because of his daughter, not wanting any of the girls getting hurt. This is what everyone that is writing in this needs to do and drop the name calling and lets get behind all the students which if that is really what we are suppose to do and let them have some fun playing and going to the best school in the area CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL BULLDOGS.
  14. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Sportsman1, You need to ask as someone said earlier to talk to David Freels about the principal jog and ask what was suppose to take place. Also you said something about a school board member having a daughter that might play more if Jason was coach. You can call that school board member and ask him what his role in the coaching hiring was, I am sure that he will answer his phone anytime or call you back, I have talked to him several times and he is always willing to listen (Board Member's name and Phone number Randy Harlan 346-6050.) He had the director of schools to give Dallas one more year of coaching so there would be easier on the girls that is left, he stood up for Dallas to get him at least one more year. If he thought that his daughter would play more I believe that he would have just let the changes happen after the two years. Also I believe that everyone should give Jason a fair chance to prove himself.. Yes like bulldogplayermom I joined after hearing that a good man trying to do something he likes and I believe will make a good coach was getting a raw deal on coacht. I will now keep looking and reading this because of all the things that are there some are very interesting what people think, all I have been saying on this topic is just one persons opinion and have just been venting some.
  15. goosevol, you should get your facts straight before you start posting something that is not right. I hope that you do get things right before you wright anything in the paper. Dallas was not forced to resign, he was as it was stated in this section earlier and I have asked several people that will tell you the truth that he was given the choice to either coach or be a principal and HE CHOOSE to be a principal. And I agree with you that Jason should be given a chance to prove himself, he was hired by the principal of CHS and I believe that that is Dallas Davis.
  16. Did Dallas or Wanda start out in middle school or did they go directly to high school out of college. Hopalot Your sources are just telling you what they want you to hear not the truth.
  17. He could of kept coaching as long as he wanted to but not both coach and principle. I also heard that he is the athletic director also. This seems to be trying to keep all the things in one basket, if someone has a problem who do you go to cause he is all three will he fire one or the other, I don't think so.
  18. Sports mom 25, Why don't you give him a chance to coach, granted he is a young coach, the people of wartburg gave a young Wanda Heidel a chance to coach directly out of college, and it is funny to me that the man that gave Dallas Davis a job just happends to be Jason's Davis grandfather and he was given a chance to coach also out of college. hopalot, You need to go to the Schools office and ask who recommended Jason to be hired as the coach of the Lady Bulldogs. The way that I understand it is that the Principle takes the recommendation to the Director of Schools in turn he hires the personal that the principle recommends. I do know that the job was posted on the Morgan County Schools website along with the coaches jobs at Coalfield for the High school boys, so I cannot see where you can get off saying that Jason Davis was handed the job. You said that DD as you called Dallas Davis is being forced out which that is not true, my understanding is that he had the option to either be principle or coach and he has chosen to be coach , you need to get your facts from a better place than hearsay.
  19. Ask me, It seems like you don't know what you are talking about him not winning any championships in the middle school. You need to do some checking before you open your mouth. Sure I did join today because of all the false statements that were being said about Jason. If people like you get your facts straight people like me and some others that know the truth would not have joined this. He won the county champonship the very first year that he coached CMS and also took them to 2nd place in the region and runner up in the TMSSA Area 2 state tournment. It looks like he can win if people like you and some of the others that want something else would leave him alone and let him coach. Way to go Mac_34 I agree completely.
  20. He was not told to hire him, they went through the procress of interviewing for the position. The director of schools only hires the coaches after the principle and athletic director recommends them to him. He does not tell the principle who to hire.
  21. NXT TOUR, They did an interview for the position and the position was posted, with Jason Davis being interviewed and hired by Dallas Davis. It just happened to be that Jason Davis was Mike Davis' son, so you call this small town politics I don't think that is the way that it goes with Mike Davis, he does not play politics like some of the people that are trying to paint Jason as the bad guy by having a petition out on him. Hoops24, The board and Director is not the ones looking silly it is the ones that are trying to do this to this young coach and not give him a chance.
  22. When David Freels was director of schools in Morgan County, he appointed Dallas Davis to principle and told him that it was a temporary appointment for two years then Dallas would have to make up his mind whether to be a coach or principle. During this time my understanding was Mr. Freels decided to retire from director of schools and Mike Davis was appointed, all he done was let Dallas coach for two more years then Dallas had to decide what he wanted to do and he choose to become principle, my understanding he was giving the choice two years at that time to either become a teacher again and still coach or stay principle not do both. I see earlier that someone said something about a petition against Jason Davis, I heard about this and I think that this is someone's thinking that they may try to take this before the school board and try to get Jason out as coach. Someone was talking earlier about politics in the hiring of Jason when the principle hires the coaches, this petition is only only about politics when there is not truth to the saying and they are trying to put a cloud over the hiring of Jason as Lady Bulldog Basketball Coach for the next year. Everyone should just give him a chance. That is my 2 cents worth.
