  1. I guess the same thing happened to him on Roan Mountain last year... what a shame! If I had to guess, he realized that there weren't enough shots to go around and headed back to the other side of the mountain. There should be a rule against playing for different schools in the summer, even between states. What's the deal? And how did he end up at HHS anyway?
  2. Good call on the two game skid. Better call on ETSU and the Bucs. The best call, of course, is the Dogs being in a vulnerable state and the devouring (nice choice of words, by the way) of the team. Last, but not least, I'll make a better call. Go Rangers.
  3. Let's see. There (not their) you go, one period at a time. Not a bad job on the recovery with the typing errors, but I'm not buying it. I wasn't trying to ruffle your feathers any more than they already were when you started this post, but it seems I have. My keyboard is set up just like yours, big guy. I'm glad you mentioned the destruction of the creekers as "ongoing." And, in my always quick attempt to correct you, what I'm reading looks more like a destruction of the alliance (or at least one half of it). Go to the top of the screen, click on search, enter Unaka and see how much destruction is going on now. Or, better yet, check out the Bulldog thread and pop a bag of popcorn for the best drama you've ever laid eyes on. It might be up to 8 pages by now, so make sure you have some time. I haven't checked lately to see if you've posted, but I'm going to say that you probably have. Last, but not least, the hearts of the Highlanders were measured at Snavely not too long ago, and we all know how that match turned out. I'll add a fourth to make you feel better. Sweet cheeks? C'mon.
  4. Here we go again: 1) Once again, I can't believe I'm saying it, but I agree. The house IS divided... this big blue alliance you speak of. Just wait until Hill transfers from the Dogs to the mountain and Hampton's new coach next year goes nuts about it. At least that's what I've been reading. Carp would have a reason to get mad if he goes to the Dogs and is left without a big man. 2) If you really think Minton might be the savior, try spelling it right. I thought we talked about this last time? (SAVIOR, and not SAVIOUR... c'mon big guy) 3) You've already made it known who might win the tournament when you started this topic. Let the alliance keep belly-aching about their problems with guards, post players and coaches. If winning games keeps the dog's house divided, then best of luck on Monday against UH... hope you win by 20.
  5. Zaza, In most cases, I might figure a few ways to point out what's wrong with your post, but for the first time ever (yep, check back and see) I have to say you finally saw the light. I didn't think you were capable, but you proved me wrong. However, it's not that easy to overlook what you've posted in the past, so the alliance is not off the hook by any means. Let's take a quick peek. 1) Not everybody has dreaded the "return of the creekers." As a matter of fact, there are probably more that want it than those who don't, pending the number of troops in the "big blue alliance". I dont' know if it's because you won't, and it's getting to where you can't, but I think everybody's glad you don't talk about that anymore (I always wondered where you came up with that. Maybe we can be the "big maroon monster" now? Ah, nevermind, I think we'll pass). 2) The Taliban comment is a little much. Whatever fantasy you're living in with all these combat words (destroyed, threat, and domination) makes me wonder. Why can't the creekers be like the old Lakers or the Chicago Bulls? I'm gonna go with one of those. If you disagree notice at the top of your page that CoachT is powered by high school sports, not Al Qaeda (that one just might get me kicked off here... sorry CoachT). 3) I always wondered when you would power up your PC behind the glow of your monitor, log in to the good ol' message boards and ask the question about the return of the boys from Unaka. If you're worried about a home win against Cloudland and two close games with Hampton just give it some time... you don't know what kind of favor you did us when you got this topic going, big guy.
  6. From what I can read, it looks like the Dawgs want to make some changes. Let's look at a couple of things: 1) Post players have to be the most important part of a team... especially a team as united as the dogs (I shouldn't have to say this, but if you can't sense the sarcasm in the previous statement, don't read any further cause you won't get it). If I were a post player on the team, I would create a username, get on the board and suggest my opinion about how things should really be, if it hasn't been done already.... or has it (aka. every post on this topic). 2) Since the guards are scoring all 85% of the points in every game, it seems to me that the other 15% could be taken up by anybody (maybe even another guard). Since Hampton has the best post player in East Tennessee (yeah, that's what you said "usernameisalreadytaken"), I would fight for my 15% of the points somewhere else. Anybody who knows basketball knows that you gotta have a post game to get down the road.... come on guys! 3) If the coaches could see that the post players everywhere else are getting their points and minutes, they would see that the post game is oh so imperative. But, with that in mind, be different and make the change and go small with the lineup like the Highlanders. I mean, Coach Carp knows how to do it at Cloudland, shouldn't the Bulldogs be able to do the same? (Since the blood bleeds blue at both places) Think about it....
  7. Zazzaa909z9az, Let's break a few so called "facts" down just to get some things straight from your post above: 1)County employees get in every game for free. Ken Chambers never pays 5 bucks to get in and it sounds like you are proud to say you do. However, if you ever get tired of paying, good luck getting yourself a job with the county to bypass the 5 dollar rule at the door. By the way, do you even have a job? 2)Good luck trying to elaborate (and yes, I just used the word "elaborate"... look it up sometime) on the creekers academics. Looks like Roan Mountain could use a little work themselves. Check your spelling, big guy. Spellcheck was made for people just like you. 3) It's not a matter of whether or not people want to admit anything, it's the facts in front of you. Do you talk to Coach Chambers, discuss life, hoops and their parallels (there's you another word to look up)? I doubt you do, so don't go with the "good guy" "good coach" plea, try something else. And to refer back to academics, give defining integrity a shot... whew, thats a tough one. 4) Three points would be the charm, but I'll go for a fourth just for good measure. You can't blame him for watching a game because it really is harmless (whether he pays 5 bucks like you or not), but laughing on the stage while the girls he "cares so much about" are getting it handed to them is not. Get the guy in Roan Mountain who's not on a power trip and has a little integrity to hire him and you'll see......big guy.
  8. What players are they depending on this year? Looks like they have a pretty tough schedule coming up. Will the conference be competitive?
  9. I know that East has some good players comin back. They were young last year and I think Unaka is this year too, coaches and all. After last year, it has to get better
  10. I agree, maxalt!!! Seems to me that Unaka has always been a sportsmanlike school in all sports, but lately things have gotten out of hand. No knocks to any of the coaches in any of the sports, but gimme a break! Cusing out the coach during the game, heckling your own team, pleeeease. How do you expect to have any success in anything when everybody is cutting the throats of the ones who are trying to help. Good luck, cause it's hard to overcome boys!
  11. WOrd was out at one time that John Minton is being primed for the job. Him and Chambers (or Dugger) may duke it out if it happens. Maybe they will all three do it. THeres a thought.
  12. Depends on who you ask, I am sure. I'm sure that Kenneth Chambers would be interested after coaching the girls for all these years. Maybe one of Snavely's assistants or one of the elementary coaches. It would definatly be a creeker, tho.
  13. Nobody cares about your alignment (whatever that means). I'm sure you like feeling like people care, but we really don't. When I clicked on the page to get here I clicked on the "basketball" link, not "ZaZa90's new bandwagon". Who knows, now that Unaka has won three in a row, maybe you will consider some maroon with your wardrobe. Once again... typical Hampton, or Cloudland, or wherever you're a fan of today
  14. Geesh... That last statement sounds like it belongs in the spectrum section of the Star, if ya know what I mean. Sometimes it's just too easy to figure this stuff out. Geesh... That last statement sounds like it belongs in the sports section (maybe the spectrum) of the Star, if ya know what I mean. Sometimes it's just too easy to figure this stuff out.
  15. Oh, I see you've posted 834 times... you must be a loser too
  16. When you sit around and wait for somebody to comment about a local county team and then bash them for it, you've got to be a loser with nothing better to do. Get a job, go to school, get a life.... get something besides a keyboard and a mouse. Typical Hampton.
  17. Not a bad call, RangerCountry.... Hampton and Unaka looked pretty good over the weekend in the Climate Controllers Classic. Both teams are playing with alot of confidence. Hard to believe that North Greene had a chance with Unaka, but it was at North Greene, so who knows after Christmas. Good luck to both, and watch out for the Rangers and coach Snavely. Things are going in the right direction.
  18. I watched alot of games this year and have heard all the rumors, and here's what I have a good feeling about: Hampton will be experienced and McClain is going nowhere. There's to much pull because of his last name, and I'd bet more than a .500 season, but still very beatable. Cloudland will keep Ned, keep Carpenter and keep playing the same way. They will be tough because of their style, but not too sure about a three-peat at the boro. Elizabethton is obviously getting somebody new, but I don't think Dugger will be the replacement. THeres too many people against him that would rather see somebody new and young. Unaka will still be a force to reckon with. It is probably just a matter of time before they get back to their winning ways, and it has been rumored that Snavely may not be back and that somebody new may be there too, but who knows who it may be. THen again, anything can happen.
  19. Unaka athletics.... well let's see.... vs. Hampton... Basketball.... struggling for now, but check the records... you guys need to catch up Football.... not bad Hampton, especially when you're 2A Baseball.... too chicken to play, except for the jamboree Softball.... no questions vs. Cloudland Basketball..... once again, struggling, but a blind squirell finds an acorn every now and then Football.... last time I checked, Unaka won the last one Baseball.... no comment Softball.... does Cloudland even have softball? Maybe try dressing the army of cheerleaders The best part about all of it is that to get where Unaka is, there never was some goofy "alliance".... and there never will be. If you guys really have to team up to get the best of Unaka, I wouldn't brag about it. Good night.
  20. The alliance is a figure of someone's imagination. It looks to me like only a few people are buying in to the alliance idea, and the only reason someone is trying to form it is because Unaka has been so dominate for so many years that both schools have a window with a beam of light shining through to take advantage of. I'd say their window of opportunity won't last long, and neither will the "alliance."
  21. Seems like there are so many rumors floating about Hampton, Unaka, Cloudland, and even UH about coaches leaving, retiring, getting fired? Make predictions of who's going where, who's returning and who won't be back.
