I hope the Mt P/Cully game will be the one to watch tomorrow night. Cully is playing with a lot of heart right now... Think it has dawned on the seniors this is it. When it comes down to never putting on the uniform again, folks get serious. Congrats to all who are still in. And I must agree- Slatten is the best coach in the state. He works hard at it.

What's with the bashing of individual players? Willie, you seem to have an issue with tall, skinny players. Didn't you bash Demario in years past? And the twins last year? Now it's Pilkinton's turn, I guess. Sounds like you have short man's syndrome. And Cullypride, where is your Cully pride? You never read fans of Santa Fe, CA, Richland, etc. bashing their own players. Maybe your eyes are green. Feeling a little jealous? You need to back off our players and support our team. Cutting players down for their teammates to read isn't helping foster team spirit, now is it? And Goldman is just now coming into his own. He is getting more court time, and he is improving. Maybe that's why he has to be called out? I agree, Upshaw is a class act, but let's not dog the other guys on the team. That's just low.

Culleoka must be bewitched! They can just wiggle their little noses and come up with all these kids to recruit??? Who are y'all kidding? One player moved to Cully last year from Memphis and that's called recruiting? You all need to change your school colors to green cause the big Green Monster has reared his ugly head. Get over it! Y'all are still moaning, groaning, and blaming!

Oh, yeah- Culleoka might have lost four seniors, but they kept Slatton, who we all know is the best coach in District 11A.

Blah, blah............ We shall see! CA and Richland will be the only competition for Culleoka in this district. 'nough said.

All y'all better give Culleoka some respect. This year's seniors played most of the clock last year- Walton, Pilkinton, and Upshaw were on the court contributing to the Cully domination. Just because some valuable folks graduated doesn't mean you need to count Cully out. And the losses of 2008-2009 taught them to never underestimate the opponent. So they will be ready for the season, and will they will play as team.

Congratulations to Matthew Williams for winning player of the year for the district. He is a very good player and is always working the court! Also, to Antwane Beach, big congrats on tourney MVP! And to all those players who were not recognized on either district or tournament teams- these guys could not have been recognized without you! You work hard and the fans, coaches, and schools appreciate you more than you know! Keep up the good work! (Oh, yeah, go B.S.! Culleoka is proud of you, too!)

and i didnt know if you were being exagerating or not. because the cornersville people seemed to say its was a completely clean play. and culleoka peopla seem to exagerate a lot.(although i know your not a cully person) I was there, and sitting in plain view. The ball was thrown in at CJ's face. He fell on the floor and the game continued around him. The refs never even acknowledged the kid was down on the floor. The parents near him and the coach got up and finally people moved onto the floor to help him. CJ isn't a whiny kid- I know him well. He took a hard blow to the face and was totally ignored.

Sorry, Willie, but you do sound rather like sour grapes. Go back and read your post! You don't have to say you're jealous to sound jealous... Read between your own lines. Culleoka is winning and in first place in the district, and folks just can't get over it. Like it or not, that is the way it is. Someday, I am sure the tide will turn, but right now Cully is riding a big wave. I was just making my point by comparing the way Matthew Williams and DeMario Williams carry themselves. If you must know I give all respect to DeMario. I think he is a great player... if he wasn't he wouldn't be at MTSU playing right now would he? I'm focused on the present. I just think people should really get to know the character of the student athletes before they get on here to dog them or make judgements.

Please- get over the fact that Culleoka had a great player in Demario. He has moved on, and it's time to let go of all the jealousy. You must not know Williams to well because he didn't play for CA in the 6th grade due to the fact that CA does not allow 6th graders to play. Williams didn't play as a 7th grader at CA due to a broken leg from the Middle School Football Season. Williams did play as an 8th grader. At that time he and Taylor Greene were the two best players in the county. He has been a starter on the high school team each year since his 9th grade season. Williams is a very humble guy. He is also a very confident player. He expects a lot from himself on and off the court. He expects a lot from himself on the football and baseball field also. Maybe you get the feeling that he is all that just for the simple fact he goes to CA. I guess when DeMario Williams was at Cully you didn't think he had an attitude or a cocky appearance. I guess DeMario didn't think he was all that. I guess DeMario wasn't a talker on the court. I guess you were blind to that. luvthewarriors you only see what you want to see I guess. Maybe you should really get to know Matthew Williams before you judge his character.
